Yes, that all sounded good in theory. Sure, you could enlarge something to protect yourself with in a battle... if you had a wand. If you didn't have a wand, well, the theory wouldn't be very good. If only Seanna knew non-verbal spells so she could say them in her head, that would be much better use to her than learning how to enlarge an object. Though, that would come in handy as well in a battle... if she had her wand, that is.
Seanna shook her head and the thoughts that were in it and it was only then she noticed that Krissy was beside her and that Alexander had came up to her as well. "Hey, you guys" Seanna said, giving them each a smile. The Huffle was glad she had the other Huffle's in most of her classes. It used to be that Seanna was the only Huffle in the sixth year class, but now things had changed and Seanna was quietly glad that they had.

Once again, more sixths years than sevenths. However, there was one other seventh, and a Hufflepuff, but that didn't really improve Vanessa's mood. She sighed, wondering why all of a sudden she hated everybody. She usually liked Transfiguration but today was different. Nessa would have rather spent the day cleaning a troll's toenails.
Coming into class, Vanessa took a seat at the very back, as far away from everyone as possible. Maybe if she didn't talk to anybody for the rest of the year, she might actually get some decent marks. Fat chance.

Bronwyn was watching the Professor intently. She was very interested in this subject and wanted to learn all she could about it. It wasn't the Professor who answer her though it was the Ravenclaw, Drew. Ron turned her face to meet his and locked eyes with him as he spoke. She wasn't sure since when Drew was the big expert on enlarging objects but she was happy for his input.
Once he had finished speaking, Ron thought it a good idea to actually take out her notebook. She made quick bullet points before setting her quill down on her desk. She wouldn't pack it away now, just in case more valuable information came her way. Ron had a thirst for knowledge and was willing to take it from anywhere, with in reason of course, so this, though it might have been a little rude to become teacher when there was teacher in the class, was not to be dismissed.

Transfiguration: Transfigure in Combat
Transfig That was all Lucas had written down in his notes. He'd gotten half-way through the first word and grew bored. The idea of transfiguring in combat sounded cool but for some reason, Lucas just wasn't in it today. He sat somewhere in the middle of the room, head down on his desk and his head of blond hair a mess. It stuck up in several places, despite his best efforts of flattening it. His mouth gaped open as he yawned, attempting to cover it so the professor wouldn't think he was falling asleep in class. Lucas looked around him for something entertaining to get him into the class, but nothing caught his eye. Looking back at the professor, the Ravenclaw waited for inspiration.

How so many people managed to be sitting at desks when the professor had vanished them was unclear to Drew. Then again, it was Transfiguration. Perhaps they conjured them back despite the fact that it was clear that Brady wanted them gone. No matter. Drew was just as bored as Lucas looked as he waited for the professor to continue the class.
He also started thinking that if you could enlarge something to protect yourself, why not just shrink your oponent and step on him. though he knew it wasn't feasible, Drew started smirking, finding the image of an inch-high Shaw rather amusing, especially with Drew's size 13 foot over his head.

Devin was very suprised to see the numerous students that just barely managed to get up in time for the desks to disappear as he did ask them all to stand. Either way they were all now standing, and he assumed that he had at least some of their attention. He heard a girls voice call out her question and was about to answer when Drew Thornton did it for him. It may have been suprising to the students, but he didn't mind Drew answering in any sense, in fact he smiled a little bit as he the boy did. "That was a very good answer Mr. Thornton. You see the point of enlarging an object is to keep yourself safe, and by doing so the object takes the hit instead of you. This can be key in many ways. One it may save your life, two it could give you a key advantage over your opponent."
Devin reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag looking over at the students in front of him. "Okay I am going to ask that you all pair up, and once you have a partner the two of you can come get one of these small squares of wood." Once all of the students were paired up and ready he would go over what he wanted them to do.

Charlie nudged Drew and looked straight at him. "Par'ner? Promise I'll stay awake," she said to him. Apart from him being her best friend, he was logically a good choice of a person to pair up with, seeing how on par he was was wandwork and all.
Charlie was something less powerful, seeing as she had always relied on her physical strengths before she took a private oath to herself to work at her magic. Still, as maybe Drew say last year in their time to study for the OWLs, she was a contender if she actually listened.

"It's more fun to hex you when you're asleep," Drew answered back by way of agreement. He was actually wondering who he'd pair up with, given that the Huffles seemed pretty tight and he had assumed Charlie and Hiro would team together. He could have probably teamed up with Lucas and then accidentally missed his aim. That might have worked.
Drew jogged up to the front of the room to retrieve a piece of wood. He still wasn't sure about this whole lesson, but since he was there, he might as well do it.

Es looked around, wide eyed and nervous for this lesson. She had been sitting in the back, waiting for the lesson to start. She had followed all of his instructions almost zombie-like, but this little command made her heart race. It wasn't that she was afraid of combat, far from it, actually, she was very good at it. But even though she 'knew' everyone in the classroom, she had no one to pair up with on will. She would have to wait till everyone else had paired up and then get stuck with the odd person. Or perhaps the teacher himself, that would definitely be interesting. She wasn't in the mood for it and she wasn't sure she had the energy, but perhaps it would wake her up a little. Perhaps it would be a good way to let her frustrations out.
But they weren't combatting, were they? They were learning how to enlarge to protect themselves from enemies. Yawn, how boring. A good lesson, but how boring. She brushed long blacked hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear, glancing around the room and trying not to look stupid for not having a partner.

Transfiguration in combat Dean looked up from his seat in the back of the room as Professor Brady put these words onto the board with a mere flick of his wand. He stood as he was asked and shuffled around slightly from behind his desk. He glanced around quickly, not really registering who was actually in the classroom as of yet. He had been daydreaming previous to Brady starting the lesson, and then he vanished the desks, so everyone was forced to stand. Dean then actually took the time to look around and spotted several familiar people. Vanessa Harrison.. he had had thing for her last year... " Hm.. " He hummed lightly to himself and then turned slightly, spotting Es. A light pain hit him, but he ignored it as he heard Brady say that were to partner up. He glanced about, still unsure of who he should partner up with.

Deryn slid into the class silently, hoping she wouldn't get caught. She made her way over to the crowd, staying low and attempting to be stealthy. Once more, she spotted Lucas and rushed over to him, hearing something about needing a partner. "Hey partner," she said happily, popping up next to him. She noticed that her greetings to the poor boy were oddly similar with the exception of one word changed.

"Jeez!" Lucas exclaimed in surprise as Deryn appeared out of nowhere next to him. He raised an eyebrow at the greeting, wondering why it sounded odd. Then he remembered and frowned at her. "I suppose," he answered with an exaggerated sigh but then chuckled and nudged her playfully, "Yeah, sure."

This was turning into a promising lesson. Finn wondered what exactly they would be transfiguring and how it could shield them in battle and of course, he was excited to find out. When Brady told them to partner up and grab a couple pieces of wood, Finn looked around for whoever was left that he could hook up with for a partner. He realized that he didn't actually know that many people in the room, so he figured it was best to wait and see who was left at the end.

Dragos spotted Vanessa across the room. A grin started to creep onto his lips as the professor instructed them to partner up. He made his way over to her and nudged her softly with his elbow. "Partner?" the Croatian teenager asked, "I promise to go lightly on you." He flashed her a smile and winked.

Partners. Brandon's eye immediately fixed on Esmerelda across the room. Then they fixed on Dean looking at her too. He scowled at the boy, not sure if he would see Brandon or not but he did it anyways. Brandon quickly went to Esmerelda's side, linking his fingers with hers. "Team?" he asked her.
