"Dumb picnic games," Drew suggested. "You know, the relay type things where you have to carry an egg with a spoon or fill a bucket with a sponge or something stupid like that." Plus, if they had it in the context of a picnic, maybe they could get a pick-up game of quidditch going.

"Hmmm...." Charlie contemplated, but she still wasn't very satisfied.
Sure, it would work because then anybody could be pitted against another. But then where would the true spirit of competition come from?
She didn't realize that not everyone had a liking to competition like she did. She was just as surprised when that Anna girl wasn't in for the idea of mandatory quidditch.

Reina had sat back and glared at everyone. She wasn't liking this idea, but she was going to let everyone else tell off Charlie. That would definitely bring her down a peg or two instead of it being Reina always on my case kind of thing. As Reina saw the conversation turning she had to say her piece.
"Okay, One. The whole fun thing is bogus. It's hard enough finding people in out houses who want to play then try to make it a fun thing and find years who want to play. It'll never fly. I'm sorry it's true. Two, scavenger hunt is very interesting. The years vs the years, but again I don't see enough years actually doing it. You'll have to group years together."
Reina crossed her legs and thought about what would make the whole scavenger competitive.
"Hey, what is it that every student or year wants from the other year. Respect and power right? Well, what if the year that wins gets I don't know to be able to tell the other years what to do for a week or something?"

"You know, if a group doesn't want to do it, they don't half to," Drew said, thinking it would be stupid to try to force anyone to join. It was the problem with any sort of two team competition if they were going to do this.
"But like if only one kid from a year wants to play, someone can adopt them," he continued. "You remember when we did it, huh Reina?" he asked.

"What if every group had to have at least one member from every house?" Hiro suggested from the corner, he had slipped in during the debate. "That way everyone has to expand their comfort zone."

"Are you talking about mixing up the years, because that's the only way to do it," Allegra answered, smiling as she saw Hiro had finally made it in. "Not every house has a student in every year."

"Mix it up however you need as long as each team has at least one from each house." Hiro replied, he liked the scavenger hunts that the Ravens had done but his team always seemed to have bad luck with them.

Charlie heard their words and was starting to like it a little more herself. It would still go with the 'divide and conquer' theory, create enough competition, and yet it wouldn't be too drastic.
"Okay.... That's better..." Charlie told them, but looked around for anymore people to volunteer their thoughts.

Reina looked questioningly at Drew. Was he implying that he adopted her? Preposterous.
"No Drew I have no clue what you're talking about? But since we are talking about a scavenger hunt with the years and dominant ion over the losers I'm totally in. 6th years are gonna win. When do we do this? and what are we searching for? How do we recruit people? How do we know which years are doing what? Let's start planning!"

It was quite clear the Slytherin Prefect known as Reina, now, was only getting into this to go on a power trip for her own benefit. But, that was all the reason for Corey to drag himself into it. For while he wasn't thrilled with a scavenger hunt, people on power trips wouldn't help it work out any better.
"Alright, I suppose I'll chip meself into the idea." He said offhandedly with a small shrug. All the while now listening in for a spot to chip in worthy input, not that he'd actually get listened to, but it was worth a shot.

Seanna had been listening to what everybody was saying and she thought the quidditch thing probably wasn't very fair to each year and as she listened to the idea of a scavenger, it did sound better, she was all for the scavenger hunt, but Seanna had thought of something that might be a good idea that would promote rivalry and unity between the houses.
"I'm all for the scavenger hunt, but what about a trivia night?, I mean that way, not only can it be just individual houses, but it can also be individual years too, I mean, it can go either way" Seanna put out to the group, wondering if it was worth even mentioning.

{Power trip eh-! Everyone knows that Reina just wants power. Duh!}
Reina turned to Seanna and pointed at her jumping off the table.
"Yes, I love that. We can do a trivia night? I mean doing individual years, individuals, or houses is all fun, but proving that Slytherin IS[/I] smarter than Ravenclaw would be fun."

Drew snorted in response. He had been thinking about how Ravenclaw might have an unfair advantage. Then again...
"Sure, you might win, but that doesn't make you smarter," Drew pointed out. "The whole point of trivia is they're USELESS facts." With that in mind, it might not be all that great to win.

Charlie was about to put her two knuts in when Drew opened his big mouth. Swiftly giving him a whack upside the head, she didn't wait for his reaction. "We can do that later. But I want something athletic. Merlin knows how many years some of these people have even picked up a broom, let alone run."

Drew held his head where Charlie had smacked him, but made no other response to the gesture.
"Yeah, something active," he agreed. "What about a castle wide game of tag or hide and seek?" It wasn't team related, but would still get everyone involved.
