Celina let go a bit of her friend so that she could look Felicity in the face, and then she shook her head. Something wasn’t right, but at the same time Celina didn’t want to fix whatever Felicity was thinking. It was probably for the better, and Celina didn’t really know how else to say what she meant to say. Alfonz had told her from the beginning that it had been Felicity’s fault, and in her own way, Celina agreed. But she didn’t fully accept that, even as her friend accepted it to be fact.
Her hair was pulled up by the turquoise ribbon like it had been since Alfonz had given it to her at the invasion, but even with it as a constant reminder Felicity was still such a big part of her life where Celina couldn’t allow her to take all the blame. “No…it was…wasn’t your fault,” she stuttered, trying to get her breath, watching the tears fall from her friends eyes as well.
Celina then decided that some of the story should be told to her friend. But only some. “He…he was going…going after my family….” Her father was an auror and her mother was a well known healer at St. Mungos, not to mention her brother was a professional Quidditch player, and with as knowledgable Shaw was, he could have been after any of them. What was taking her life, which compared to any of her other family members, was insignificant, unsubstantial, and would ultimately be a waste of a killing curse. But her family? Now that was a target, and Celina wouldn’t allow any of them to be killed over something she had stupidly agreed to.
“I couldn’t allow anyone….to get….it was an accident…” she stuttered, more tears starting to flow again as she let out gasps of sobs. At least now Felicity would know that she tried to save all of them, and as ignorant as she was, found that she couldn’t even save herself…let alone, Felicity.

How could the Ravengirl not recognize that it was Felicity's fault? The blonde knew it was, he known for a long time that it was her fault. Forcing Celina to tell that man was horrid, but she hadn't meant to put her friend in such a position. In fact, she thought it was going to be easy to just get out of there. There were so many options, no it wasn't a fail-proof plan, but it was a good one at the time. Of course it hadn't been such a good one afterwards. Just what happened was enough example to make one believe that easily.
And when Celina continued to talk, Felicity understood all the better. Family was important, you had to keep your family safe, especially under such a threat, but it wasn't Celina's fault. There was no reason for the girl to think it was hers, or for her to be sorry. It was completely at ease to Felicity about why it had to happen. No, at the time she hadn't liked it, hadn't understood, wondered many times why she'd done it, but hadn't blamed her for it. She only blamed herself for putting Celina in that position.
"I knew you hadn't done it because of what people are saying," she answered her friend. Scooting closer to her friend on the desk, she tightened her already bear hug. People were saying horrible things and Felicity hadn't liked those things being said. They were wretched for even thinking her best friend could give her up like they thought she had. "Celina, I'm not mad and you don't need to be sorry for anything. I know it was my fault, I'm so sorry he threatened you."
How the man knew who Celina was didn't even cross her mind, she was just too grateful her friend was now her friend again to care.

I’m not mad at you
Celina had heard those words before. And yet these ones sounded more sincere and more generously spoken because Felicity seemed to understand that she had no other option. Drew hadn’t, nor had he cared to really understand why she did what she had done. Celina had often wondered many times what he would have done if Shaw had threatened Allegra, but as many times as she had thought it, she couldn’t bring herself to ask him. He was sure that she needed toughening up, and it only made Celina feel worthless.
She continued to cry in her friend’s shoulder as they hugged, and Celina squeezed Felicity lightly, thanking Merlin to herself that she had her there once more. Classes for the past month had been horrible, and even with all of the conversations and the younger students who kept her spirits high, Celina just couldn’t bare to see either one of her friends without pangs of sorrow stinging at her heart.
I knew you hadn’t done it because of what people are saying
Celina let out a sigh of relief through her sobs and she was so glad that her friend could understand. They were so alike in so many different ways, and Celina felt as if Felicity had never really left her side. It was a weird feeling, but one that was only now being brought to the surface. She really was a wonderful person, no matter how ditzy she could have been at times. She was the day to Celina’s night, and really there was no other way of describing her.
Pushing herself lightly away from her friend, Celina wiped her eyes and looked into Felicity’s brown ones. She smiled and tried to laugh a bit through the still falling tears, and she nodded more to herself than to Felicity. “There’s so much I’ve wanted to tell you…” she said, but still didn’t know how else to go on.

The shoulder of her shirt was dampening lightly, but she couldn't feel it, the material was good for soaking it up. And, even if she could feel it, it didn't matter. All that mattered at that moment was she and Celina were friends still, and that she'd been stupid for thinking her friend didn't want to talk to her. It was quite obvious how untrue it was. If only she hadn't waited so long to talk to her. Ridiculous she was, but she was glad that things seemed to be all right now. And she'd take a seemingly over a nothing.
When Celina pulled away, Felicity didn't bother wiping away her tears. They were happy tears, so why wipe away something good? Instead, she put one hand on each side of her friend's face to make sure she was real and not an imaginative part of a dream. She'd had lots of those. The Eagle was crying and it only made Felicity cry even more, but it didn't matter, both were smiling and Celina had a beautiful smile that lit up the room.
"Me too..." she trailed off. "But you go first because I don't think I could put it all into words right now. It's so jumbled up that there's a jam."
