"Hey, I never thought of that. I suppose I don't rely on magic as often as I should," Keagan replied, pondering the uses she could find for magic if she only tried. "And I know how that goes, with the bag and all. I used to carry a ton of stuff around that I used to need all the time. I came to a point, though, where I realized I just wasn't using most of it anymore, and I downsized."

"Well a lot of it's sentimental reasons," Lily said. "I hold onto things for a very long time. Some of the stuff in there will stay in there forever, whether or not I use it." She nodded. "I'm very pack-rat like. Slightly scary, but I have to hold onto things. Too many memories."

((So so sorry...took a bit of a posting sabbatical myself, but now that school's out, I can be on all I want)
"An old friend of mine back in the States was like that, but she had so many things that she stopped using a bag," Keagan replied with a curt nod, then she smiled at the memory. She didn't think about her friends back in Rhode Island very often anymore; she used to miss them like crazy, but she never saw them anymore. "She hated to do it, but she packed all her things into a trunk, and only took the really special things with her. She had a photo album and a Polaroid camera instead of a notebook."

Lily smiled. "I could never do that really," Lily said. "I wouldn't trust them just to lie in my trunk for anyone who it pleases to waltz in there and take it. I don't have a lock on my trunk. Unfortunately it broke and I've been paranoid about leaving anything to important in there ever since."

"Her trunk was a little safer. It just sat in her house while she went to school during the day. It's understandable how it wouldn't work that way for you. Then again, you have magic on your side, so it doesn't matter how much stuff you have; it will always fit." Keag grinned. Behold the joys of a magical world.

Lily smiled. "I really do love magic," she said. "It's weird, but sometimes I catch myself thinking, how did I ever live without magic? I know I could go back if I wanted to, but it would be like living in the now and then going back in the stone age. It would just be ridiculous."
