"Hey" Hiro said instinctively when he felt a pull. "What's wrong can't just pull it..?"
As Hiro pulled away his finger did not come loose from the tube. Hiro stood dazed for a moment as to why the hole was big enough for his finger to enter but not to be removed from.
His face painted with confussion Hiro asked again: "Where did this come from?"

"Danny gave it to me," Charlie said, referring to her brother. "Just tossed it at me one day and told me it's easy to figure it out." Now she regretted taking it with her. This position, though minimal, was feeling like an embarassing one. It was a good thing the halls were soon emptying.
She gritted her teeth. This was become frustrating. "Maybe if we use the cutting charm?" Charlie was already pulling out her wand and reciting the charm as soon as she suggested it. When she placed her wand on the trap, right in the middle where she was sure it wouldn't slice their hand, she was shocked, but definitely ticked off that it wasn't coming off. It didn't even made a dent on the bamboo weaving. There's only one reason for this. "Damnit, Dan... He charmed it, I know it."

"Hey woah!" Hiro tried to stop her but before he could the spell was already shot off. "You know our fingers were touching inside the thing. Plus I don't really want to go to the nurse's office telling them I cut my finger when it was stuck in a tube."
Hiro then began to think, whatever this thing was it had a weakness and, according to Danny, it was an obvious one. After a moment Hiro snapped his free finger.
"If I pull on my end it constricts around me. If you pull on your end it constricts around you..." Hiro began to think out loud. "But if we pull at the same time it won't be able to counter us both. On the count of three pull your finger towards you as hard as you can. One...Two..."

"Three!" Charlie said with the end of the count. As soon as that came to be, she pulled her own side as hard as she could. However, with the force used to yank it, it came with more disappointment. What was sort of annoying was that it make her finger crack, making the same sound as the knuckle crack. Still, the trap wouldn't give. There was just one technique was needed, if they could figure it out.

Hiro began his pull the same time with the results not expected to happen. The trap wouldn't give. Despite the tightness around his finger and the crack from the trap Hiro continued to pull. Whether Hiro was sure that this plan would work or just wasting time to come up with a new plan he pulled just a little bit more.

Curse the person who made the trap, for it was a perfectly made structure that wouldn't give to their strained pulling. No matter how much they did it in vain, all it would do is clamp around their fingers, tighter and tighter like an odd boa constrictor. Eventually, it became easy to lose circulation. "Don't think I can feel my finger," she commented as she gave up. It was definitely feeling cold with its loss in circulation.

"Well that won't do." Hiro said finally giving up. "Excuse me nurse I need to amputate my finger cause it was caught in a trap. We got to agree that we only go to the nurse as a last resort right?"
Hiro shuffled over till his back was leanning against a wall, this might have been one of the oddest situation he had been in. May as well make the most of it.
"So is this why you missed class today?" He tried to start a conversation.

Charlie definitely hated the thought of going to the nurse. Still, cutting and pulling wasn't doing them any good, and the options with a bit more dignity were running out. She sighed and agreed, though. This was counting as a desperate time.
But right now was a good time to just... chill. "No, yah kiddin' me?" Charlie said with a scoff. "I'm jus' tired of school. I don't want to do the OWLs." She had never studied for something so diligently before, but this was the first time she wanted to give up on something she was sure to do fine in.

"I hear you on that one." Hiro replied. The fact that Hiro had spent the majority of his free time studying for the O.W.L.s was no comfort to him as the days were counting down.
"But it'll be over before we know it and that'll lead to a great summer." Hiro stated as he slide his backpack off his one shoulder and let it plop to the ground. "Things have a way of working out in the end."

"Yeah, man," Charlie said with a nod, "I can just veg for a while, then I can I go back to qudditch training." Speaking of qudditch next year... A grin came to her face. And then a knowing laugh. "Dude, I'm gonna be captain next year!" She had to proclaim it, as she had never thought about it or spoken about it in a long time. It was very life affirming to say it outloud.

"Congratulations!" Hiro replied, he had forgotten that most of the teams were getting new captains after this year. Drew would be next in line no doubt, with Allegra and Kellen leaving he was the most quilified.
"You'll have to train the rookies pretty hard if you plan to beat us next year." Hiro was all words, he really only played because of the sport not to be the champ and couldn't care less about who took the cup.

Charlie smirked. "Oh don't worry, man. My team's gonna turn a new leaf next term. I thought we were hopeless until we had our one win." Absentmindedly, she scratched the back of our head. Small victory, yes, but it said there was still some glimmer of hope. "I know it's one measly win, but that says we still have what it takes." She was burning with glee inside. Sure enough, she would concoct a few plays and get some more skill building drills. If successful, her team would hate her-- but love the wins.

"Guess we have to watch our backs than." Hiro replied to her confidence. "We'll probably have to train some new talent too this up coming year. I wonder if Drew'll change positions now that keeper is going to be open, I think he's had his eye on that for a while. Of course he's had his eye on Head Boy since second year."
At this Hiro laughed just because he knew Drew a little too well.

"Never knew he wanted to be keeper," Charlie wondered, and made a chuckle of her own. Some intentions were not always to be revealed. "You know, I think I like chaser more than beater." It was a position of confusion for her. She had played beater for a good part of her career and trained for it, but the temptations of chaser usually called to her. "I've done it enough to know how to handle the strategies, but it's not like I can do it all the time. Reina and Sora held two outta three, and some of the players aren't qualified for playing beater." In muggle terms, being a beater was like being a midfielder in a soccer/football team. Fowards had all the glory, but it takes a bit a skill to handle midfield.

"I'm more of a defensive player myself. Not aggressive enough to play offensive. I leave the goal scoring for those who like the glory. Me? I'm just fine with being a beater or even on the team at all. I'd barely been on a broom before I came here, started off as an alternate and practiced enough to join the team. Plus beater's the only position I can really play." Hiro then went to cross his arms but only one was working.
"Almost forgot about this thing." He admitted when the trap started to constrict.
