Reading, and studying.....not really (Open)

Jason sat in a large window sill on the seventh floor where he could see the entire school grounds. He had several books open and papers layed out, and he was looking over them 1 by 1. Jason, who had some homework due the next day. Jason didet sleep very well the previous night because Jason had another nightmare about his father. They day his father was hurt and almost died dueling has been burned into his mind for years, the nightmares didn't allow him to sleep right since he was 5. Jason dosed off then snapped back and continued to work.

Not long after after he snapped back to reality he dosed off again sitting straight up.

It was one of those days. It seemed as though all anyone ever did was wander, study, and snog... Delilah had been thinking of nothing in particular, and saw another boy, looking out a window sill... No wait... Was he? No, he couldn't be. In the middle of broad day light? She approached him with caution, his books scattered everywhere, papers a mess. She looked at him for a moment. Strange... She thought, taking out her wand... and poking him with it. Maybe it wasn't the smartest thing, but honestly, Delilah hadn't done anything smart in a long time.

Jason, who was half asleep felt something poking him in his upper arm. At first he thought he was imagining things, but when it happened the second time he awoke with a jolt pulled his own wand and pointed it at the girl out of self defense. He saw that it was just a girl and lowered his wand. "you know its not polite to poke someone when there half out of it." Jason said returning his own wand to its holster. "If you went a girl you would of been blasted to kingdom come, and hey that thing kinda hurts"

Jason rubbed his eyes and looked back at the girl waiting for a response.

[Delilah Morine]

Delilah didn't even flinch as he pulled out his wand. But she did hope at the very worst she'd be sent to the Hospital Wing, and then be good as new in a couple weeks, but she was very glad the boy didn't hurt her, and she put her own wand away. She grinned now, "No, it's not polite, but it's so very much fun." She said, looking at his books once again. She looked back up at him, "Well lucky me I guess." She said, looking out the window he was by. It was gorgeous outside, but it wasn't bad either. "I'm Delilah if you cared to know." She said, looking back at the boy with her forest green eyes. "And if you're supposed to be reading these," she gestured at the books, "maybe you should sleep first."

Jason paused for a moment "my names Jason" he said in a mono tone voice"and poking people is fun, but not for the person getting poked" He said looking back at his book. well so much for studying he thought to himself closing one of them. Jason turned back to the girl.

"maybe you should sleep first."

Jason tuned his head a bit. Listen to her he thought to himself. "I don't sleep, or at least if i do not very well" he said starting to sort some papers and stuff them in books.

[Delilah Morine]

Delilah raised an eyebrow at him. She wasn't really getting a good vibe from him. He unsettled her for some reason, and for someone from Slytherin to admit that to herself, that's saying alot. She eyed him, waiting for him to attack her, but he didn't. Hmmm... "Nice to meet you Jason", she said, unsure if she meant what she said, but still, she didn't want to be impolite either. "Oh...," she said, "well, perhaps I should let you get back to your studying..." She turned away from the window and eyed Jason, pulling her hands away from the sill, about to walk away.

Jason turned back to the girl and smiled. "Its okay, you don't have to go, I'm pretty much done here" he said watching the girl turn away. "I uhh I didn't mean to come off cold like i just did" he said with a smile "really, it just that i have alot on my mind, I apologize."
Jason turned back to gather up his books then turned back to the girl. "so your in the Slythern house arnt you" he said turning forward towed her. Jason smiled, man i made a real jerk outa my self he thought to himself.

Delilah turned back to him, a small smile spread across her lips. He seemed sorry, but she felt like a jerk for just turning her back on someone she just met. She felt bad of course, but perhaps things could me mended. "It's all good, I'm sorry for interupting your thoughts..." She said, looking as he gathered all of his books. "Did you need any help with those?" She offered, trying to be nice now. The small girl looked back up at him, raising an eyebrow, "Yes, I am... how'd you know?" She asked, not thinking of him as a creep or anything, just that he was the first person to guess correctly on which house she was from.

Jason closed his book. "no its okay i got them thank you." Jason looked at the girl for a moment. he remembered seeing her in the great hall during meals with the other Slythern students. He smiled. She was very pretty.

"Yes, I am... how'd you know?"

Jason smiled again "I didn't, you just told me" he said with a grin. He tossed his books back into his bag a zipped it up. he put the bag back on the floor and turned back to the girl. "so what brings you up here on this fine day" he asked her not getting up.

Delilah watched as he smiled at her... It was peculiar... The girl felt a ting of warmness on her face... No, she couldn't be blushing, could she? Oh but she was... The girl's green eyes were now looking down, slightly embarassed, but also flattered.

Delilah shook her head, "Right right... I told you..." She said, reassuring herself more than anything. Did she really tell him that already? Was she losing her mind? This was the worst first impression she had ever made. Delilah laughed lightly, fine day indeed... "Boredom mostly..." She said, her attitude returning to her.

Jason grinned when he saw her blush a little. Jason turned a way a little then turned back to her. Looking at her green eyes looking down at the floor. He smiled again, did he embarrass her? no he couldn't of. Jason listened to Delilah studder trying to respond to his little joke.

"Right right... I told you..."

Jason laughed a little. "boredom huh" Jason looked over out the window at the other students kicking a soccer ball around the grounds. "isn't this weekend a a Hogsmede weekend" he asked smiling again as he looked back at her. wow shes really pretty he thought to himself.

"Yes..." The girl responded. Delilah knew full well that it was a Hogsmeade weekend. But she had forgotten to get the stupid letter signed by her parents and simply couldn't go with everyone else to Hogsmeade. "Well then, why arn't you there?" She asked, trying to change the subject off of her to him. Boys seemed to love to talk about themselves, and Delilah thought she'd simply just present the opportunity to... Jason was it? He had really nice eyes... Wait... What? She really was going insane. She looked away from the boy and out the window, fighting the blush that was threatening to come back, "It really is beautiful outside..." She said, her mind going from him, to her riding on her broom. It was totally perfect to go outside. Maybe she'd save herself some embarassment by leaving now, politely of course, and then practicing some Quidditch on her own. That sounded pretty good to her at this point.

Jason smiled again, his face turned a light shade of red. he kicked his bag a bit. He stood up and stretched a his arms out a little then picked his bag up and set it on his shoulder then looked back at the girl who he could tell she was trying not to think of something but he couldn't put his finger on what.
Jason smiled again "I didn't go because I enjoy the quiet when everyones gone" he said with a warm smile "and your right, it is a beautiful day, care to take a walk with me" he asked looking at her with a smile. wow shes really pretty he thought.... JASON SHUT UP ALREADY he yelled at himself in his head

The small girl nodded. She understood the pleasures of being alone, no one to bother you. She was beginning to think that maybe she was intruding on the boy... But then he asked her to go for a walk with him... Her? Really? Delilah couldn't help but smile when he asked. Perhaps Quidditch could wait. "Sure, I'd love to." She said, now looking at Jason. "Where to?" She asked, crossing her arms in front of her, a smile still planted on her face, eager to do something more than just wandering today. It seemed like she was always alone while everyone else was at Hogsmeade, but this was a welcome surprise.

Jason smiled "well i have to drop this crap off in the Ravenclaw house, then I don't know, where ever we walk to I guess" Jason said walking toward the stairs he smiled again and stopped when he got to her side. "where would you like to walk to" he asked his face turning a little red. He smiled again, Jason didn't really care where he went, there was something about this girl, but he couldn't figure out what it was. God she has really beautiful eyes...... O god Jason stop he thought his his head I really need to control my thoughts he thought to himself again
