As Tamis had asked, Becca herded the students up to the Headmistress's empty office. Their expressions were an odd mixture of emotions, ranging to Miss Shriver, who looked decidedly ill, all the way to the young Slytherin, who claimed illness but had an odd spark in her eyes.
"You are to stay here until the Deputy or the Headmistress comes," she instructed them, needing to get down to the Staff room quickly. "Please be careful with Professor Ticloon's things. I doubt she will appreciate them being touched."
{Keep in mind that this is Professor Ticloon's office. Aside from the portraits, it is doubtful she would have any of Dumbledore's things }

Lilith walked behind Professor Davenport as the students were led into the Headmistress's office. She was not scared or anything, but she wasnt quite sure why they were asked to come. After all, they arrived AFTER the murder.
Still, she wanted to see what was up. Maybe some juicy details would be given. She wasnt nosy, just curious. Okay maybe a little nosy. She sat down on an empty chair and looked to see the students coming behind her.

Tristan sighed and walked with Drew, Arianna, Jason, and Lilith. As he walked in he looked around, this was his first time in her office. He then walked around and waited for the Headmistress to come in.

Arianna was a complete mess. From her her dirty clothes to her dirt and cobweb-covered hair to the cuts on her face and hands. Even worse, still, were the voices playing over in her head and images it conjured in her mind. The first thing the girl did upon entering the Headmistress' office was to find a chair and sit down.
"I left my bags!" she exclaimed suddenly, wondering how much trouble that would get her into. All Arianna had brought back with her was the wand in her hand and unless someone else had thought to grab her backpack and shopping, it was a lost cause she felt.

"We'll get them later," Drew told Ari, sitting on the floor next to her. He had been in this particular office only a few times, but it was enough. At least this time he wasn't busted for something... he hoped.

Arianna bit her lip and shook her head, but said nothing more. She trusted that Drew was right and that they would get her things back soon.
Leaning back in the chair, trying to force herself to relax, Arianna placed a hand on Drew's shoulder. It was comfort enough to have him close, but she needed something more. Perhaps it was the 'discussion' they had had a few days before, or maybe the events of the day, or both, but Arianna felt and odd twinge of distrust. If she hadn't needed a friend so badly at the moment, there was no way she would have let him near without a good dose of yelling.

Drew leaned into her, resting his head on her knee. The waiting and wondering was going to drive him mad before anything else, he was sure of it. A million questons swam through his head and he didn't even know where to start. The fact that it was so close to school... during a school outing... was the most disturbing and he couldn't help but wonder if the other kids had gotten back to school safely.
Alhana... he had left her standing in front of the Three Broomsticks without any explaination. He was sure she was okay, but still, he'd pay for that one dearly.
And Raynor... should she really have to deal with this in her condition? He didn't think so. Yet another person to worry about.
"Did Allegra go to Hogsmeade?" he asked softly, wondering where his sister was and if she was okay.

Arianna started to answer, but stopped. She thought Allegra had planned to go, but hadn't seen the Head Girl anywhere near town. Of course, with the way she had been avoiding everyone, Arianna wouldn't have been a reliable source for a head count.
"I don't know," was the only answer she could give. Arianna hoped Allegra was safe, too. She'd probably deal with the situation as well as Arianna was at the moment.

Drew gave a long sigh in return and leaned forward, stretching his back and nervously rubbing his face with the palms of his hands. It had been her eyes that had bothered him the most. No blood, no bruise, just the look of complete and utter horror of one who knows she's about to be murdered.
And Ari had heard it happen. If he was freaked out, she must be ten times over. He leaned back against her again and looked up at her. "You okay?" he asked softly.

Arianna took a moment to answer. She could feel hot tears welling up in her eyes again. She bit her lip, desperately wanting to say yes, but shaking her head instead in a jerky motion.
"No," she answered in a quiet whisper. How would she be able to get the voices out of her head? How could she keep the vision of Professor Thorne out of her dreams tonight and tomorrow night and for who knows how many nights?

"Oh, geez Ari, don't do that... come here," Drew said, hearing the threatening tears in her voice. He attempted to pull her down into a hug, not even sure if she would accept it from him.

She was a bit hesitant, but Arianna eased herself out of the chair and into Drew's arms. The others might have thought the scene a bit silly, or maybe even stupid, but Arianna was in no mood to care what others thought today.
"I shouldn't have been there," she muttered into Drew's shoulder, her voice cracking slightly. "What if...what if they saw me? What if they heard me? I thought they were just kids."

"It's okay... you're okay now," Drew whispered to her, cradeling her on his lap. He wasn't exactly sure what 'okay' was anymore, but he knew she was safe. "You did the right thing. You stayed quiet and hidden. No one knows you were there except for us."
Of course, he wasn't too sure about some of the other kids in the room, but he wasn't about to say that.

Arianna nodded, trying hard to believe Drew. She didn't think anyone could have known she was there unless they were smart enough to realize the shack really wasn't haunted, contrary to popular belief. Either they had thought she was one of those ghosts that supposedly haunted the place, or they were scared away from the approaching crowd, come to investigate. Whatever the reasons, Arianna did feel a bit lucky to have gotten away alive, though not quite in one piece.
Leaning her head against Drew's shoulder, Arianna tried shutting her eyes for a moment, but found it was best if she kept them open. The images weren't so clear when she kept her focus on the painting in the room and she was able to calm herself down a bit better.

Drew rested his head against hers and gave another sigh. He knew it had only been a few minutes, but it seemed like forever. It would probably take a while for Raynor to take care of things over there and get back to them. He wondered vaguely if they were going to be fed anytime soon but then realized he wasn't very hungry.
