Krissy grinned to Mike. "Yeah I don't think they would be very happy with me in the slightest" Krissy said with a big grin. "Not to mention the fact that al my stuff would be burning, not my stuff.." Krissy giggeled as she smiled at Mike. She gently brushed his hair away from his face with a smile, tucking it behind his ear slightly.

Banks entered the Great Hall, rather quickly, hoping he was not late. He was much happier now that he was able to wear wizard attire, instead of the itchy, annoying muggle wear he had been forced to style in Norway. He honestly could not understand how he had gotten through those years as a child, but of course he knew no better.
Taking his place at the high table, he nodded to Robert before flashing a smile at Tamis.

Selena entered the Great Hall taking her time to observe the student interaction. When she finally reached the table she watched over them all, smiling particularily at the Ravenclaws. She looked over and surveyed the other staff members, not that she knew them. She really ought to do something about that, but she couldn't leave the hospital wing much. She usually even ate there, but tonight was a special occasion. She filled a glass with water and took a sip.

Anthony quietly walked in the Great Hall, wanting to go un noticed by the students. They would see enough of him as time went on. He took his place among the stafff table and gave a smile to each other member as a sign of greeting before observing the students. His gaze fell on the hufflepuff table. It was a shame that only a few had arrived. He could see he had a lot of school and house spirit to cultivate this term.

A rather small and nervous Jase Payne entered the Great Hall after a chain of professors, looking quite throughly harassed about that. Too many Professors in that close of a proximity was not a thing that he wished to happen to often. Then he would be noticed. Being noticed equaled being recognized and being recognized equaled higher-ups noticing more often if he got himself into trouble.
Ambling over to the Ravenclaw table, he waved to his fellow birds merrily, watching the females carefully as always; never knew when this Allegra would sneak up on him.

As the rest of the staff began to surface, Robert grew a tad more at ease. However, there was still no sign of his employer, Ms. Ticloon. And that, is probably what worried him the most. He had no personal impression of the woman.
"Mr. Gallaudet." He replied with a nod in greeting as well.
A few more students had trickled in recent minutes, but not enough to make a considerable difference to the numbers. It seemed the feast was reaching its climax.

Reaching it's climax the feast was, and Tamis, already on the edge of her seat was only getting worse. Outwardly she remained serene, calm, reserved, everything that an official of the school should be; but inwardly she was a four year old face to face with a Hungarian Horntail.
As most of the staff made their way in at once, she returned Banks' smile lightly, almost not seeing it at all. The Headmistress' chair was still empty as she feared it would be. A great example that.
Having waited long enough, and deeming that the rest of the student population -- and staff -- could get the "start of feast" information from another, she stood and cleared her throat, waiting for silence.
When she had it, she addressed them; standing next to the empty Head Person's Chair.
"Welcome back, to another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am personally thrilled to see so many fresh, familiar faces return to use... and some new as well."
She paused there and smiled at them, but then her expression suddenly grew serious. "I know most of you are awaiting your meal, and I ask you to only bear with me a few minutes more. As we all know, the wizarding community is not as at ease as we would like it to be. When you are within these walls, I ask you to put aside petty differences, to read the Daily Prophet if you get it and keep what you read to yourself. In here, we are one. We are Hogwarts Students --" She looked over at the adults next to her. " -- and Hogwarts Staff. Never forget that."
Another pause to let them soak that in for a bit. It would confuse some, but it's meaning would be stark clear to others. To those with conflicting loyalties.
"The Headmistress expresses these views as well, but she is regrettably..."
This time it was hesitation. What exactly was Tamis suppose to say. That the Headmistress was missing and had been for weeks now? That she had left Tamis not even a note that she would be gone? Of course not.

"Little dude..." Drew greeted Jase as he came in. With a nudge to the young boy's ribs and a nod in the direction of the tall girl sitting nearby, Drew gave a knowing look and mouthed one word... Allegra.

It was in that slight hesitation Tamis made that the two oak doors to the Great Hall opened with a bang that echoed strangely in the quiet hall. A tall woman stood in the opening for a moment, pausing there as if restraining an urge to break something. It wasn't the first time she had stepped onto the grounds of Hogwarts during her prolonged absence. None of her staff certainly knew where she had been, not even her trusted Deputy Headmistress. After a long moment, she set off at a brisk pace, the ends of her dark plum robes flowing out behind her.
"Bloody prats. Couldn't just give me what I wanted. No...had to make it difficult for me." came the dark mutterings that the students wouldn't have been able to hear -unless they had superpowers- as she came up along one of the walls, heading straight for the front of the room.
She appeared not to notice that the entire student body and most of her staff were probably staring at her. She kept rambling and ranting under her breath, only stopping when she halted behind the seat she should have been occupying ages ago. Only then did she finally acknowledge the hall full of hungry students and a puzzled Tamis Raynor with a sharp blue gaze.

Brittany had been listening to Professor Raynor partially, getting bits and pieces of what she had to say. Though at the sudden opening of the doors behind them, all turned to see a woman standing there. This, she figured, was their new Headmistress. As the woman made her way to the front she noticed that she had been mumbling something to her self. Nothing that anyone but she herself could understand but talking to her self none-the-less.
Narrowing her eyes as the lady turned to everyone, just looking out to them. Brittany wondered if she would speak or just let Professor Raynor finish whatever she had been saying. Not taking her eyes from the strange lady, she unconsciously tapped her fingers lightly on the table.

"Headmistress is here..." Drew announced softly as he cleared a place in front of him to make way for the food that was bound to follow soon.

"... joining us," Professor Raynor finished as the grand oak doors of the Great Hall flew open at the mercy of the Headmistress herself, rambling away under her breath quite fluently.
Puzzlement did follow; but so did a quick recovery, evident in the sudden thinning of her lips and the annoyed glint that tickled Raynor's eyes when something occurred that she had not expected. She knew Fiona would return within the next few days, but had not expected her for at least one more.
"Trying to take over the Ministry again, Fiona?" Tamis asked the Headmistress in a tone that did not carry beyond the staff table.
The blasted woman had tried just that on numerous occasions. Two of which occasions Tam had come to Fiona's rescue to find her dog-piled by at least five harass aurors to keep her off the minister.
Clearing her throat, she addressed the school again, summing up the rest of the speech remarkable fast. "A reminder to old students and a warning to new; The Forbidden Forest is and always shall be forbidden. Students of course should not be wandering about passed hours or at Hogsmeade unscheduled or you'll find a very angry Professor Raynor at the end of your journeys. And now, I'm sure Headmistress Ticloon has a few words to say."
With that opening, Tamis returned to her seat, this time her being the one muttering to herself, key words such as "irresponsible" , "foolish", and "concentrate on Hogwarts" rising to the forefront most often.

"Regrettably joining us..." Drew snickered, echoing Professor Raynor's introduction of the Headmistress. He continued pushing things aside (mostly so that it blocked Allegra's area) so that he would have a clear path to dinner.

The Gryffindor girl couldn't help but giggle silently, of course, at what Raynor had said. Regrettably joining us. Jolly good welcome for one that's supposed to be running the school. Raynor does not look like a happy camper. Brittany thought as she looked back to their Headmistress.
The woman gazed upon them and seemed to be in deep thought. Brittany, however, desperately wished that the Headmistress would get out what she had to say. Everyone around her was starting to get restless and it seemed that the whole room might strike if they were denied their food for much longer.

The entire confrontation; from the Deputy beginning her speech, to the Headmistress barging through the front doors, and the continuation by the Deputy went completely unnoticed by Jase. Not even the comment his cousin had made concerning the Headmistress' arrival had made it into his large but rather useless head.
He had followed Drew's nudge to the girl he had pointed at, or rather he was now ogling her. Allegra! his tongue caught in his throat he lost his seat, falling straight off the bench before quickly regaining it. She would make him study!
Ducking down he tried to hide himself from her with Drew's height as a shield and yet peer at her at the same time. The evil commander of the girls...
