Lily shrugged. How did she answer a question like that. She was confused. She couldn't answer it Germany, because that was no longer her home. She looked over at Drew. Maybe he would know what to say? She hoped so.

Drew smiled back, liking how this guy had a Nana too. He had tried calling his nana 'grandma' once and had gotten smacked upside of the head for it.
"California...Los Angeles," Drew answered. He had already pegged the new kid as an American. The accent gave it away everytime.

Nicolae was unaware he had an accent though Lily did have one. A distinct one. She was either Russian or German or something like that. "LA yeah? The rich part right?" Nicolae looked Drew up and down. He had nothing against him or him having money. He was past that in his life. He just wanted to know the kid more.

He briefly toyed with the idea of telling the guy he was from South Central, but figured there was no way he could pass. "Malibu Hills," Drew answered with a shrug, glancing at Lily. If she went off on his 'perfect life' he'd really have something to say to her.
"Lily's from Germany," he answered, noticing the girl still hadn't answered the question. "How about you? You're American, I got that much."

Lily was going to leave with nothing said. Not that she knew anything about Malibu Hills but she did know something about Drew. But not that she was going to say. Well Drew had answered for her, but she wouldn't quite say she was still from Germany. She didn't know what to say if she would have answered.

"South side of Chi town. Yeah I'm the biggest American ever." Nicolae chuckled. He looked at Lily with renew interest. "Yeah I thought that was it, but then again I wasn't too sure." Nicolae didn't realize that Drew and Lily were sharing some sort of inside secret.

"What's Chi town?" Lily asked. "And where is it?" She was a bit confused at this. Geography wasn't really her strong suit. Neither was anything about the United States. That wasn't really the types of things she had read. She more stuck to her fantasy novels.

Nicolae looked at Lily with shock, but it quickly faded into a grin. "Chi town means Chicago. Illinois. It's slang actually. Sorry I keep forgetting that my words may not be yalls words." Nicolae smiled at her and looked back to Drew. "Down here?"

"Chicago... Illinois," Drew answered just as Nicolae did He nodded and led the way to the Snake Pit. "My granddad still has family over there."
And yeah... it was on the rich side of town, but Drew didnt' add that part.

"Sweet you have family in Chi town? What part?" Nicolae knew a few people and though there was a good chance he didn't know his family, they were probably a suburb of Chicago like Boilingbrook or Romeoville he was still interested.

Lily felt slightly left out with the two boys talking about the United States and families. So she just walked, absentmindedly tracing patterns on the walls. Thinking to herself. It wasn't often she was this quiet, unless she was fighting with Drew. Which she wasn't right now.

"Don't know exactly," Drew answered with a shrug. He had only been there once, many years ago. "I was pretty little last time we went over there. I just remember a big house and a lot of cheek pinching."

Nicolae nodded. Though he didn't get that. He waited for Lily to contribute somting, but she seemed lost in thought. He cleared his throat, but had nothing else to say on the subject. "Yeah a house you say. Must be nice," he mused.

"You trying to make him feel sorry for you?" Lily asked. "It won't work. And especially don't play the perfect life card. Sure fire way that's half our arguements isn't it?" She looked up at Drew. She hadn't really been thinking about what she was saying, she just was kind of saying it.

"Cut it out, Lily..." Drew mumbled, hating when she played that card. He loved the girl like a sister, but sometimes she just talked way too much. "No one is feeling sorry for anyone here."
