Krissy laughed "Oh it does hurt sometimes when you fail, I've crashed into a few walls before" Krissy grinned, it was fun all the same. "I haven't been doing it much, just whenever I get some free time I tinker with little bits and pieces, is quite good fun, I made a rocket powered skate board, it goes real fast" She loved to play around an dinvent things and so making flying devices would be good if she ever did succede, but until then it was awefully fun to try. She wasn't at this moment going to mention either, the fact that she made alot of pranking devices too. They were something she'd keep to herself for the moment. Though she was sure the boy would find out eventually anyway.

Kyle's ears perked up (the effect would be more obvious if he was a dog) at the mention of "skate board".
"Rocket powered skate board?" he repeated with his face lit up. He loved playing with his skate board. He had to say he's not terribly good at it, but he just loved it. "How fast does it go? Do you still have it here? Can I try it?"

Krissy laughed. "Yeah I still got it here, i'm not sure though if I ever got the brakes working properly..." Krissy grinned sheepishly. She had knocked quite a few people over while on that board. "Yeah I still got it its up in my dorm, and sure ya can try it, but you'll have to remember that there ain't no brakes, They keep giving away from the speed its going..." Krissy grinned. It seemed that Kyle liked skateboards. Which was pretty cool. It meant he ahd some form of muggle heritage.

"I don't mind the brakes," he said without hesitation. He wasn't going to try on a rocket powered skate board, which was supposed to go really fast, when there were people around. He would pick a nice and quiet place, and played til he dropped dead. Oh wait, maybe not the dead part, but still, he'd love to try it.
"I will make sure I have my helmet on, so I can just jump off the board when things get out of hand okay?" he asked again. He would be batting his eyelashes if he was a girl.

Krissy grinned. The kid seemed eager and wanted to make her say yes no matter what. But she had already said he could go on it. She didn't mind. Just as long as he knew the risks. "Sure ya can go on it, I don't got it with me, its up in my dorm, so I'd have to go get it for ya, or I could get it for ya another day" she looked around the courtyard there were a few people wandering around but no-one really paying much attention to Krissy and Kyle. "Ya don't gotta wear a helmet if ya don't wanna though." A sudden thought occured to her. "Wait you like skateboards, so you'd be able to stand on one well?" Krisys herself had always roller bladed and so wasn't very good at staying upright on her skateboard, she had made it a bit wider than the average skateboard so she was able to sit on it if she wanted, she normally tumbeled off backwards if she tried to stand.

Kyle was about to point out that he knew it's better to wear a helmet from his own experience, espeically it's a super fast skateboard he's talking about. But his response was put aside when she asked him if he could stand on a skateboard.
He didn't reply immediately, and just looked at Krissy. He wasn't aware of there's other way, other than standing. "Are we talking about the same thing?" he asked with a frown. "It's skateboard, not surf board right? Because I haven't tried surfing."

Akina walked passed the two listening to their conversation though if you looked at her you couldn't tell. She didn't pause, she didn't turn her head or her eyes, there was no giveaway that Akina was listening in on the conversation. Though her steps was slow and deliberate it just looked like she was having a quiet stroll. Muggle things. Interesting.

Krissy laughed "Yeah, A skateboard, I just go not balance and have trouble standin' on it, spesh when it goes at high speeds" She grinned. She wasn't elbaorating by saying she had no balance, she had a habit of tripping over nothing. She was accident prone but it was fun. Or she thought of it as such.
Krissy's eyes glanced to the random woman who was walking past her and Kyle. Krissy didn't know who she was, nor was she all that inclined to find out. Her mind returned to her conversation with Kyle "I made my skateboard a little wider than other ones so I can sit on it if I wanna" Krissy grinned, it wasn't that much wider but it was enough for her.
(Sorry bout my slow reply's, hectic week, will be better by friday until then I'm sorry)

Kyle paid no attention to the woman. He still hadn't met all of the professors and staff, so he had no clue the woman was indeed an odd presence in Hogwarts. Besides, he was way too wrapped in the conversation.
"You know, if you lend me the skateboard and some other fun things, maybe I can teach you how to do it? Properly?" the boy suggested. To him, this was a fair deal. They each got something in return.

Krissy grinned. That'd be kinda cool. Learning how to ride the skateboard properly, though, learning from a first year wasn't exactly what she'd normally do, but this kid seemed alright. Krissy nodded her head "Yeah sounds like a great deal, I can let ya use it, I don't use it as much as I probably should, and then you can test the brakes while I try and fix em" Krissy grinned. Testing the brakes was always a fun buiseness, sending yourself flying down a hall way hoping the brakes will work. It also meant she would learn how to ride it properly. She usually used roller blades, but a skateboard would be fun to learn how to ride.

"Super cool," Kyle nodded with great satisfaction and anticipation. He was excited that he could have his one of his favourite activities back here.
"Anybody here do skate board too?" he asked Krissy. "The more the merrier."

Krissy sat to think for a moment, she knew she had seen other skateboard but she wasn't exactly sure who. She knew Drew, like herself, roller bladed, but she wasn't sure. Maybe he skateboarded too. "There are some others that do it. I think Drew... might" she said the look of confusion showing on her face once more. "But... I'm not exactly sure" Krissy grinned sheepishly. That would always be the case.
"I roller blade myself, as I know does Drew, so you'd never had any trouble finding someone to come out with ya if ya wanted to skate" Krissy grinned. Kyle wasn't too bad.

By now Kyle had an expression of utmost longing on his face. Skateboarding and roller blading outside all day long. Who cared about potions and transfigurations?
"You know, wouldn't it be mighty cool if we get to roller blade together? Or a competition even?" he said dreamily. He didn't know himself, but he still missed his life before Hogwarts. And having something he always liked before coming here, it's his way to cope and adjust.

Krissy grinned. She was always looking for someone else to roller blade with. "That sounds like an awesome diea" she said excitedly to Kyle with a big grin. Krissy did have a habit of hurting herself as she tried tricks and stuff on skates but it didn't worry her. She had fun all the same. It made it awefully cool. She really liked the idea of getting a bunch of people skating.
"Competition owuld be cool too, though we'd need judges and stuff" Krissy grinned. This kid was cool. He liked skating like she did. "We could like get heaps of people together and do it regulary" she said with a grin.

"Competitions maybe be a bit difficult, say let's first stick to getting all the skaters first?" Kyle said. He wasn't too keen on competiting though, a game or two would be fun. Competitions of that in a magical school seemed a bit odd. Then again, having a competition to see who could modify or enhance a skateboard to its fullest ability was way cool.
"Well, you obviously have been around longer, how about you go round up the people?" he suggested with a wink.
