March 25 To Winter's absolute might, and to its dismay, it had been aware that its reign was coming to an end. No longer could it wrap its sleet and snow to the grounds, the trees, the people with its influence. No, it would no longer dare to make its conquest when the calling of a new season came along... the season of Spring. To the delight of many, this meant a new reason to come anew, to sprout new life in the plants and flowers. It was all a renewal of a warm spirit, ready to embrace the challenges of what would come, be it the coming seasons, or obstacles that would center the personal lives of many. The latter would apply entirely to a young couple in the context of entering a new phase of life, leaving behind the tragedies of the past, and looking forward to the moments to come. On this twenty-fifth of March, where dusk connected day and night... this was the moment Benita Hendrix and Benjamin London were to marry. Though it had been hours before guests could sit comfortably, any student peering over the courtyard could see the fashioning of the Hogwarts courtyard, its transformation from prep school social scene to the flowing fabrics of a wedding. Quietly the set ups were made... The paved ground had been dressed in a blushed white fabric, as well as the chairs that were lined up in rows and divided in the middle. Each end of the row had been adorned with small plant that puffed out little bursts of a glittery mist that floated up gently and then fell to the floor. Fireflies danced around as well, as they coordinated and multiplied when the day became darker and darker. At the front, stood multiple platforms that allowed for guests who were coming to watch the bride and groom, as well as a second platform so that the small, stout priest could rise up between the two and recite the ceremony from a rather large, heavily decorated book. He flipped through the pages every once in a while, and merrily chatted with the arriving guests-- some notified personally, or others through a general announcement in the Hogwarts castle since it was an open wedding. Finally, the one feature to emphasize the coming evening, had been the backdrop of the wedding, where the sun would come to hide behind the mystery of the Forbidden Forest, and its glow would be replaced by the soft lighting of the many fireflies. All the ideas and imaginations that came from the young couple came to fruition on that magical March twenty-fifth, and their one dream would come true on that day. (open to invited guests, and also open to anyone in the castle who would be around that day and would like to attend a nice little wedding.)

"Alright, Ben, this is it," Alun told the young Auror-in-training. Alun had met Ben on his first day on the job and he'd reminded Alun of a younger him. He had been honoured when Ben had asked him to stand up at the altar with him on his wedding day. Alun helped the young lad fix his tie as they stood just inside the school, waiting for the wedding to begin. Alun could tell how nervous Ben was and remembered his own wedding day. Alun had been terrified, but in the end it had been great. With a sigh, Alun took a step back and looked at the boy. He smiled at him and nodded, playfully nudging the boy in the arm.
"You ready, son?" Alun asked the boy.

It had been such a long day, getting ready and not being able to see Beni at all. Ben had been home most of the time, just hanging out with his family for a little bit. They'd been remarkably understanding about this whole thing which worried Ben a little, but still he appreciated it. And now that he was standing there, getting ready with Alun Morgan, the auror who had been helping him get through his training, Ben was about ready to pass out. He barely even heard Alun talk to him and all he could do was nod in response. He missed Beni. He wanted to see her and he knew she was going to look absolutely beautiful today. Having to wait so long to see her was just killing him.
"Uhh, yeah," Ben squeaked out finally to Alun, "Yeah, I'm ready." He looked over at the man and tried to smile. But mostly he was trying to not pass out.

The guests arrived slowly but surely, finding a few seats in front, back, and middle rows. Beni only had a few close relatives, yet seeing as she did have lots of muggle blood run through her family tree, though, she had just as much of a problem, like Ben, inviting all she knew because Muggles could not even imagine being in Hogwarts. So it all boiled down to her two mothers, her grandmother, and muggle-born stepbrother. The rest of the guests were possibly stray wanderers, those who wanted to see a wedding, and lots of friends.
It wasn't too long when it came time for the ceremony to start. Ana had been up front, chatting with anyone, and weaving around until she got back, setting up on the platform to meet the men. "Hi..." She smiled at Ben, Alun, and the priest, but then focused her attention back on Ben. "How are you doing there, sweetheart?" She patted his back gently. "Now do NOT get nervous, because we're going to start in a minute." Her smile was slightly devious. Since the frantic family dinner where Beni and Ben had made their announcement, Beni's mothers had been a bit more accepting of their decision. The two were still scared to know how young they were getting married, but they would never abandon their daughter when she needed them.
Ana quickly kissed Ben on the cheek and got off the platform, going to Beni's grandmother who came prepared with her violin. She lifted it and prepared herself. "Please settle down everyone," the priest came to say. The violin started the beginning of the Wedding March, and made an introduction for the three bridesmaids and... the bride.

Brittany was practically shaking in her heels and it wasn't even her getting married. She had been adoring Beni for the past half hour on how gorgeous everything looked and how she looked. Being the bridesmaid she got to spend the day helping her best friend get ready for one of the biggest days of her life. It was so exciting, being in the rush of everything and being right beside Beni all day. She definitely saw how time consuming and hectic putting together a wedding could get. Now it was just minutes before she and the two other bridesmaids would walk down the aisle before Beni. Fidgeting with the skirt of her dress, she looked behind her at the other two girls that were bridesmaids with her. Brittany had absolutely loved the dress that Beni had picked out for them to wear. It was a bugundy, pink color that came right to the knees and had thick straps that set right on the shoulder. She was wearing her hair down so that it flowed around her shoulders and had curled it. As the violin introduction that cued the bridesmaids entrance started to play, the young woman came to attention. Looking back at Beni and giving her a wink, she pulled her small bouquet of flowers to her. With a smile she took the arm of her escort, Beni's stepbrother, and they began their descent down the aisle. Bridesmaid's Dress

Pretty dress, huge party, good friends, and the best looking quidditch player she knew by her side... Allegra thought this bridesmaid deal wasn't all that bad. She knew she was a ways from getting married herself, but one look at Beni and Ben together and Allegra knew this was meant to be.
The music started and the cue was given. Allegra, too, looked back and grinned at Beni, looking stunning in her dress, before looking up the aisle and trying to catch a glance at Ben. She wasn't sure if that was nervousness, or excitement she saw on his face. Maybe a combination of both.
She slipped her arm through Chad's and smiled at him. "Thanks for doing this with me," she whispered, before starting down the aisle herself.

Chad wasn't going to lie, he did look pretty darn good and clean up pretty darn well when he had to. Clad in a sleek black suit, he stood at the end of the aisle with Allegra at his side. He looked over at her as she spoke and he grinned back at her. Chad leaned over and snuck a quick kiss in on her cheek before he whispered into her ear. "No problem at all," he told her. He was about to add in some joking comment about her not getting any ideas, but the more Chad thought about it, the more he didn't mind her getting ideas. In all honestly, Chad could probably see himself spending his life with Allegra. She was incredibly beautiful and incredible smart and just incredible all around. Who wouldn't want to keep her forever?
Looking back at the bride, Chad smiled at her. He didn't know her very well and they had only really met this morning, but she seemed pretty nice. Looking ahead, the groom seemed pretty scared. Glancing sideways at Allegra, she just looked beautiful. "You look fantastic, by the way," he told her out of the corner of his mouth.

Deryn Morgan was wearing a dress. For most of her life, these were avoided at all costs, but today was a special occasion, and she didn't mind having to suck it up for Beni. It was, however, rather uncomfortable and Deryn fidgeted with herself, trying to pull the dress out of all the uncomfortable places without ruining it or her hair. With a sigh, Deryn just stopped and let it go, having to walk down the aisle now. The Gryffindor turned around to look at Beni, smiling at her as everyone else had done and then started off down the aisle, with Lucas at her side.

Lucas had been rather taken aback when Deryn had popped up out of nowhere, asking him to be her date for the Hogwart's wedding. He had, of course, agreed to it eventually, thinking it might actually be fun and it would give him a chance to talk to Deryn again. He hadn't actually seen or spoken to her in a while, but he was glad he was seeing her now. She looked amazing in that dress with her hair all done up the way it was and Lucas found himself staring, if only for a moment. Smiling at her, Lucas took her arm when it was offered and they started off down the aisle together.

It was time. The time was now. This was the time... No matter how Beni put it, this was her wedding. Her wedding. After all the arrangements, rehearsals, fittings, appointments... it was time to act it all out, and show the world her love for Ben. That didn't make her nervous, but the idea of her wedding already there... she was at the summit of anxiety and nervousness. True to form, she was a blushing bride, complete with a random meekness that came out of nowhere two minutes before that violin sounded. The whole thing was ready to be set in motion. Because her father was a Muggle (and therefore unable to even interpret a place like Hogwarts), her adoptive mother Ana was the person to escort her down the aisle. When she had popped up in their starting place, she knew very well what was to come. She almost gasped, but said nothing else. To say something meant saying something absolutely ridiculous, perhaps about celery, and she was too nervous to say anything really. And now came the time to walk. Two by two, she saw her bridesmaids and their partners go down, and they were all absolutely supporting with their looks alone. They look so stunning, she thought to herself as she smiled widely at them all before grabbing the bottoms of her dress and taking the first steps. THE dress was an uncommon design of wavy lace and fabric tied together with white flowers, and an adorned bodice completed it. She had been hunting for a dress forever until it took a collaboration with another to help create her dream dress come true. She added on a yellow flower to the lower portion of her done up hair, but the dress itself was the main part that held her own personal touch. Going down the aisle, she followed the rhythm of the violin. "Who knew this Wedding March could be catchy?" she whispered to Ana, and Ana almost let out a nervous laugh herself and squeezed Beni's hand. "My lovely daughter," she said quietly. The procession of bridesmaids, partners, brides, and mothers-of-the-brides continued until the bridesmaids were separated on side where Beni would stand and their partners going by Ben's side. Ana still held her hand when they were still up there on the platform. "Who shall give this woman in marriage?" questioned the stout priest, and Ana looked up at him. "The mother and I do," Ana replied and smiled slowly. She turned her head to Beni and gave her a kiss on the cheek with one last squeeze on the hand before letting go. Beni let out a small laugh and choked back any tears. The two let go, and Beni's hand instantly found its magnet with Ben's hand. "Then we shall begin," said the priest, and opened his book. (FYI: this thread is indeed open to onlookers and wedding crashers-- just don't ruin anything or it'll be your head )

As Ben heard the music start up, he froze entirely. He looked down the aisle, not able to see Beni yet as the others came into view, all looking stunning. He sighed as each one of them passed until he saw her. Ben couldn't help but let a huge grin spread across his face as he saw his Beni, looking absolutely gorgeous in every way.
All Ben could do was watch as she got closer and the sea of bridesmaids and groomsmen parted, revealed her in the middle of the aisle. He watched as Ana spoke and gave her a slight nod as she stepped back and let go of Beni. Beni's warm hand in his made it hard to be nervous about this whole thing and he just smiled at her, holding her hand tightly as it began.

How peculiar it was to see a pair of people so happy. They must have been delusional…
As dusk settled in, as did the shadows around the courtyard and it’s festivities. Sure there was light, but at the same time, just enough shadows so that Alfonz could slip in and watch whatever was going on, and then disappear as soon as it was over.
In all the years he had lived, he had not once ever been or seen a wedding in person. Why would he? All of the Jedynak family that was left was married years long, or too young for such events.
And what was with all of the smiles plastered on everyone’s faces? Alfonz leaned against the stone wall, near to the door to leave the courtyard if need be, and crossed his arms. Was that really this joyous of an occasion? Alfonz sighed finding it surprising that he actually wishing he understood, but at the same time hating himself for caring. He didn’t even know most of the people there. All he knew were that they were that they were taking up his spot he usual went to think. Figured.
As the violins started and those whom were in the wedding started to walk down the isle, he watched…trying not to show how interested he actually was. Thank Merlin for the shadows that he thought were enough to cover his presence. He didn’t want to be noticed witnessing an event that wasn’t of his concern to be at.
The bride walked down the isle next and to himself he commented on the craftsmanship of the dress, also wondering how the girl had even gotten into it. To him it didn’t look like there was much room for movement in it, but then again, his specialty was definitely not in women’s wear.
The priest spoke, and someone shifted in the way of Alfonz’s sight. Grumbling under his breath, he moved a bit to wear shadows were thinner, and he would have been more able to see. Now, however, he saw no one who would be looking anywhere but the front of the ceremony.
Then we shall begin
Please do… Alfonz thought to himself without realizing it. How interesting this really was…why would anyone want it was beyond him…

Ever since the violins started up, Shay quieted herself as much as possible. Merlin knew, she was already running up and down the aisle, capturing the bridal party, capturing the groom's ineffable expressions, and capturing the silence of the guests. Her duty as a photographer was never limited and never did it end, because if one wanted all they would need to supply their memories, it meant wanting it all. Partial images didn't complete the later intangible feeling of a rendez-vous in a memory.
One by one, she shot the procession and saw Brittany and Allegra look absolutely marvelous. In fact, everyone was beautiful, most importantly the bride. Her expressions were the ones Shay was more excited to catch. She was a nervous young one, glowing with pride and happiness. At one point she said something to the lady escorting her and in turn she almost laughed. To that, she shot away at that scene, where they all relied on a little humor. She figured this wasn't the end of those great shots.
Now that the two, bride and groom, were joined, Shay hopped over to a corner, getting a good shot of their backs to her, but the priest announcing regally the ceremony. This wasn't going to be the last position for her to be in. She needed the couple's expressions as well as the guests.

To any involved in the big event who remembered Hiro from their school days his presence would seem like a bad omen. On contrast to what the others might remember of him from their days at Hogwarts Hiro wasn't here to cause trouble, the opposite in fact.
Hiro (as atonement for his last wedding) had offered his help for the wedding in any way he could. Benita, whom he hadn't spoke with since the holiday party, was more than delighted to have Hiro help out as an usher, and knowing his past events she had also asked him to keep an ear out for any of his kind. So here the blindfolded usher stood helping those to the bride's side or groom's side of the benches and a general sentry against those students who would think it fun to use a few dungbombs. Fortunately he only had to collect a handful of pranking material so far. These of course would not make it back to the hands of the original owners.
As the music started Hiro was standing in the back after ushering the last of the guests he gave encouraging smiles and subtle thumbs up to each of the pairs that walked by.

What the bloody hell am I doing here?
Such thoughts like these ran through Sora's head as he stood in a uncrowded corner of the courtyard of Hogwarts. He wore a simple black tuxedo, crisp white dress shirt and black bowtie. He decided to forgo the usual wizarding dress robes since he wasn't really familiar with them at all.
The young Auror stilled himself as he violins began to play, echoing softly around the courtyard. He watched with intrigued eyes as the bride began to slowly glide down the isles. Sora glanced upwards, noticing how nervous Ben looked. He really didn't know them that well but from the looks of it, they both really looked like they were in love.
Lucky them.
They deserved it. There were lots of troubling things in there world and wherever Sora looked, there was pain and loss. It was good that there was two people in the world that shared happiness.
Sora was silent, crossing his arms as he continued to watch the ceremony, oblivious to everything and everyone else.
