She didn't know? He didn't know? He couldn't know? Oh but he did know. Not only had January's escapde by the Deva been dropped all over by the Prophet, but it had made its rounds about the pureblood family circles as well. Many still supported it's cause, many still believed in an eventual puritan society but fewer and fewer were willing to rise and become a part of it's movement. For Damian, it was simply a fact that there was little he could do besides be a near imitation of a servant boy, and that sort of degradation would not be applie to the Piper name. Not with his beating heart.
"You were both here in January were you not, and yet what answers have you received to your endless questions. People ask the Ministry, the Propehet daily still for answers and yet they receive none. Surely that still hurts even you? Surely you are wise enough to understand like me...that even when we come of age we will be nothing more than children to them? That we will never receive answers to the questions we ask."
He paused.
"There will never be closure for us."
True, Damian knew more than they already through his father by mere affiliation. But did that not mean he had to stand by and play nice and make merry with the girls? The one, Celina. She had an attitude, a sudden fire that he had only seen come from his father's associates, but if she was like himself then why associate with this...this...klutz of a witch beside her? Pah! If she was like him, she was a waste of the blood who knew nothing of her status and even less of her rights. And enlightenment would not be coming from him, it was not his job nor would it ever be.
"Now if you'll excuse me...I have business to attend." And with that he began his journey up what would soon become the longest trek of stairs he had ever encountered. Two floors, then five more and a wait, ph the agonizing wait. This school was annoying, how he was expected to make his home here was simply impossible to comprehend and if his company was to be at all like the two young lasses from below then it would be impossible. It would be impossible and he would return to Durmstrang with, or without his parents wishes.
Hogwarts did not deserve another drop of the Piper blood, nor it's supporting fortune.
