The day was surprisingly sunny in the February cold, the snow didn't even seem to be difficult today. It was a good thing because Hiro needed a stress less day. Yes things were not going well for him and a nice snow free bench was in order. After wiping down a bench and rubbing his arm to warm it up again Hiro sat on the bench with his stress reliever. It had been a while since the blind prefect pulled out his acoustic guitar but after a few moments of tunning it was ready for another run. Nothing like a good song in a courtyard to free the mind of its troubles.

Tensions seemed to be high in the school at present and it was messing with Bron's cool so she had left her books by her bed and only taken her sketch pad. Wondering the school was always fun but it was lonely toil. With each passing level of the school, Ron became more and more aware of her lonesome state. Leaving the school and entering the courtyard, Ron heard the melancholy sound of a guitar.
Searching around for the source she saw the blindfolded Ravenclaw that had been with Drew during their Potion lesson. It was an inspiring picture, to be completely honest so Ron moved towards him and sat on the ground in front of him. 'Hiya,' she said cheerfully after a moment. She pulled her legs up and crossed them, balanced her book on her one knee yet still concentrated on Hiro. 'Mind if I draw you playing?' she asked bluntly. She had found that being blunt was the only way to handle boys.

While his music broke the silence of the cold winter day his audience began to gather. He knew from past experiences that when ever he pulled out his guitar students tended to gather. The cold must have turned a lot of people away despite the fact that this was one of the nicest days they had in a while. Usually people would ask for song requests that he didn't normally know but this time there was a different kind of request from one of the transfer students in his class.
"Well hello to you too...Bronwyn right?" Hiro replied a little confused by the bluntness. Usually there was more conversation than that. "I'd be honored."

'Right.' The Ravenclaw noticed Ron sitting there, or perhaps it was her big mouth that alerted him to her presence? It didn't matter, he had agreed to let her draw him and that was what counted. 'Wonderful!' Ron said and clapped her hands together lightly. Bron pulled three pencil's from her pocket and put the two she wasn't going to use right away in her right hand.
Holding the other in her left hand, she lent over her sketch book to begin drawing and realised that Hiro had not started playing. Remaining in her hunched position, Bron lifted her head slightly and looked at Hiro. 'Don't let me stop you playing,' she said mirthfully, 'just pretend like I'm not even here. Play away.' Turning back to her book, Ron began to make large sweeping moved with the pencil over the page.

The moment of pause that Hiro took was longer than he realized. It must have been the first time he was asked to be a subject for an art project. Or he might have been expecting to have a request. In either case it was just a moment of silence.
"I guess I've never been the subject of an art project before." Hiro admitted as he rechecked to make sure he was still in tune. "Do you have any song requests or shall I just play what comes."

At Hiro's question, Bronwyn laughed. It was good for her to do so because little gave her reaspm to do so lately and she was happy for something to make her happy. 'Play what comes,' Ron insistened and cpmtinued to make brash wide storkes on her page. There was much back ground that interested and fascinated her in this setting and she wanted to cover it just right.
Ron had had difficult drawing subjects before but this was made easier by the fact that Hiro was so willing to be drawen. Mostly Ron had to sneak glances or be sneaky about the whole drawing of someone story. Hiro was very open to the idea and Ron took advantage of that, making wider, more daring strokes on the page before her. 'Please, play whatever you'd like,' Ron said as she realised she had the basic outline of Hiro. 'You been playing long, then?'

Hiro decided to go along with a song he had heard by the cauldrons since they were a pretty big band at Hogwarts. It wasn't a hard song to play but he didn't know the words well enough to sing it. As a matter of fact he didn't sing at all when he played his guitar, his talent wasn't vocal.
"This? I've been playing for about five ten minutes before you came." Hiro said with a smile at his (admittedly corny) joke. "Actually I've been playing for about two years or so. I'm allowed to talk while you're drawing me right?"
He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do as a model.

At his little joke, Ron laughed so hard in fact that she had to put her pencil down. Wiping a tear from her eye, Ron returned to her drawing. She really enjoyed laughing, this was the thought that passed through her mind as she rolled her pencil between three fingers and her thumb. She wasn't concentrating on Hiro so much any more as on the drawing on him, even though it was much less entertaining.
'Hmm,' she mumbled as she looked up. 'Oh, yeah, sure, talk, play, do a funny jig, as long as you don't run away I'm happy.' Using her middle finger, Ron rubbed a spot on the page and the line blurred. Happy with the effect, Ron looked up again and smiled at Hiro. 'What made you choose the guitar and not something more classical like ... oh, I don't know, the cello or something cool like that?' She understood as soon as the words escaped her lips that he mightn't agree with her point of view but then few did and the question came across all the same.

"I doubt I'll be dancing a jig." Hiro replied with a laugh. Hiro had this thing about dancing, it went along the lines of not doing it. His fingers continued to hit the notes and repeat the song that he had running in his head as she asked another question.
"You don't think the guitar is cool? Dang and here I thought everyone liked the guitar." Hiro joked. "Actually I didn't choose the guitar. My cousin sent it to me as a gift after I was hospitalized. I just picked it up and taught myself the notes."

Ron laughed along with Hiro as the image in her head of him dancing was too hilarious. Still smiling to herself she continued to draw Hiro. He was a most fascinating specimen to draw, or perhaps it was the mix of an instrument. Bronwyn couldn't tell but it was fun never the less. The music that was being played was propitiating and Ron thought that it made her drawing softer then it would usually be otherwise.
Looking up again when Hiro spoke, Ron smiled. 'Course I think guitars are cool,' Ron said with a little snorted chortle, 'it's just that everyone's playing em, is all. If I decided to play an instrument I'd chose something that's not that popular. Like the cello, fer instance, but that's just me.' Ron shrugged and looked down to her drawing. It was coming along nicely though Ron was having a little trouble, therefore spent a bit of time on it, with Hiro's face. The angles she drew never sat well with her but she didn't mention it.

"Around here you're lucky if you can find enough people for a band." Hiro replied switching songs to another popular wizard rock. "There is no 'popular' instrument around here."
His breath lingered in the cold air as he talked. Tapping his foot to the beat in his head and mouthing the words to the cd player in his head Hiro played right along with the unheard band. It was easy for Hiro to get lost in his own music so before he got too far Hiro spoke up again.
"That or everyone hides their musical talents. A while back there was supposed to be a band formed but nothing ever happened."

Ron snorted. 'Good point,' she said, once again erasing the jaw line. She still couldn't get it right. Taking a deep breath, Ron put her pencil down and simply watched Hiro play. It was much better then getting agitated with her perfectionist tendencies. She thought of Hogwarts having a band. It sure would be an awesome achievement of co-operation and amenability. Ron would love to see something like that but it was a pity nothing came of Hiro's attempt.
'Hmm,' Ron mumbled, nodding. 'Perseverance. I always say that all ya need to get something happening is a bit of perseverance.' She shrugged. It was just her out look on life and it kept her moving forward. It was kept her at her books, kept her grades up and kept her smiling. At least that was what she thought. 'But a band would be nice, don't ya think. You really should keep trying.'

"A lot of the potential members have graduated from Hogwarts now." Hiro said moving his fingers along the strings to keep his song going. "It would have been a pretty weird band anyway. Several drummers, a guitar player, a piano player and no one willing to sing. I funny sounding band indeed."
The wind blew through his hair and made the ends of his blindfold dance as the wind continued its journey. Though it was cold, Hiro was too occupied with his music to let it bother him.

The chilled wind blew Ron's pencil off her sketch book and it clattered to the floor, rolled away from her. 'Whoops,' she gasped and threw her knees onto the floor, hands meeting to cold stone. She scuttled after the rolling pencil on all fours and clapped her hand onto it. 'Ha!' She scooped it up and fell backwards into a sitting position. 'Gotcha!' Ron said with a little giggle. She jumped up and walked back to her sketch pad, the pages blowing around.
Bending down, she picked up the book. Paging back to the incomplete drawing of Hiro, Ron looked up at Hiro and took a seat again. 'I wasn't aware that the school had many drummers,' she said absently. 'Suppose it's good though, gives you options. But singers are a dime a dozen, easy enough to find.' She set her pencil to the page again and smiled as she got Hiro's angular jaw just right.
Ron’s pencil moved swiftly over the page as she listened to the guitar. It was a very pleasant sound, she though, and hummed a tune that matched the one Hiro was playing. She couldn’t help but smile. 'But don’t ask me to sing for ya,' she laughed, 'I’m no good at it. All my voice is good for is being loud and the occasional song in the shower, though I often get a towel to the head for it.' She laughed as she remembered the towel.

The music had been just loud enough to hear since Aleeza reached the ground floor and now that she'd found where it was coming from the redhead was intrigued. Soft, accoustic guitar tones floated around her head and lead her write to the artist, a boy sitting and playing calmly, having a conversation with a girl. Neither of them looked familiar and, rather then sitting back and watching from a distance Aleeza decided that maybe this was the time to step forward and meet some friends.
Heart pounding in her chest, the fourth year made her way as confidentally as she could, ignoring the people around her who weren't the people she intended to talk to. As she approached she cleared her throat, resting her hand on the strap of her back pack.
"Mind if I join?" It was a simple question, one who's answer was nothing to fear, but she couldn't help the nervous blush creeping up her cheeks. Curse this Irish complexion, she thought, shifting from one foot to the other.
