"Lunch will be ready in about an hour," Drew's mother stated from the kitchen and she looked over towards the boys with an expression that said she didn't want them spoiling their meals. She had planned a very nutritious lunch that included all of the major food groups while not upsetting Franco's still delicate health.
Drew grumbled quietly at his mother's response, but didn't let her see his displeasure. He hadn't known she was right there, otherwise they could have picked a different passage. In fact...
"We're going to my room!" Drew cried out suddenly, crawling over to the corner behind the sofa and motioning for Franco to follow him. The passage hidden there would lead them to Drew's closet which happened to have a stockpile of candy he had horded over the past few weeks. Franco would get a huge kick out of the stash because most of it was Muggle stuff.

Franco gasped as the woman's voice caught him by surprise. He had not seen her nor heard her around either. He blushed a little seeing his little plan ruined and as he sighed as had not any other idea to replace. But then Drew cried out a new idea which made Franco look eagerly at his friends.
"Ermm... OK" he said uncertainly at first but then remembered this was DREW... he surely had a good idea, he always had good ideas! Franco just had to trust on Drew and followed him to end up inside what looked like a closet.
"OK... now what?" he asked giving a look at his friends, surely Drew's idea of fun was not look for underwears!

Drew pushed his way out of the closet, letting Franco out too, before going back in and climbing up the shelves to get to his secret hiding spot behind the box of stuffed animals he never played with anymore. Grabbing a huge bag of M&Ms, he tossed it on the bed bedfore pulling down another bag of Skittles and then a box of Starbursts.
With the candy safe on his bed, he jumped back down himself and bounced next to the small pile of sweets he had made. "How's this?" he asked Franco with a wide grin.

Franco slowly crawled out the closet and looked puzzled at first wondering what Drew was suppose to be looking for. It did not took him too long to figure out as the other kid started throwing candies on his bed.
"Cool!" he just could say as also jumped over the bed and started examining the packs, shaking them near his ears and reading the names of them "I have never see these ones? M&Ms... Ski... Ski... ttles what they are?" he asked curiously wondering if they jump or made something funny like chocolate frogs.

"The M&Ms are chocolate, but the Skittles and the Starbursts are fruit flavored," Drew answered as he tumbled backwards off the bed and went over to his desk. In the bottom drawer, he had another secret area devoted entirely to DingDongs and Oreo cookies. These, he pulled out as well and threw onto the bed as well.
"Those there are little chocolate cakes with cream inside," he told the Peruvian boy about the Ding Dongs. "They're really good and we can stick the other stuff on them to make them better. The Oreos, you open them up and either lick off the cream or stick stuff inside."

Franco looked with shiny eyes at the pile of candies like trying to decide which ones to taste first. He took the oreos first and opened them just as Drew has instructed, and licked the cream. Woahh it was great!
"Mmmm! this is good!" he just mumbled between licks while took the M&Ms too into his mouth. "But... these ones don't bounce or anything?" he asked shaking the bag again, they did nothing like they candies he was used to eat do "Some one windled you... these things do not work" The boy finally deduced though that did not stop him eating them anyway. They were great, with charms working or not.

"Naw, they don't do anything cool like regular candies," Drew answered as he licked the cream out of a Dingdong and bounced on the bed. "But I'm not allowed to go to the Wizarding stores by myself so I can't get the good stuff." Muggle stuff was still good to eat, so it wasn't like he really cared about the charms.
"Hey! Be careful with that!" Drew cried out as Franco shook the bag of M&Ms, spilling some on the bed spread. "This is the only stuff I got! Don't waste it!"

The kid looked a little more interested about these candies as just then learnt they were muggle candies and started reading the packs while eating, ignoring Drew's complains for a moment. He hardly understood what it says, specially the nutricional facts... Nobody expected to find anything nutricional in things like those! For The boy that just sounded stupid... muggles were sooo weird.
After satisfy his curiosity, he looked back and Drew and grined, then threw a M&Ms to Drew's forehead jokingly then another one up his own head and caught it inside his mouth.
"I bet you can´t do that!" he said as tried the little trick again, missing this time for an inch "D**n" he just muttered as picked the little candy up and tried again.

"Hey!" Drew cried out in protest after being beaned with candy. His protests were quickly silenced though, as Frano said the "D" word. Drew's eyes got big as saucers and for a moment he kept as still as a mouse to make sure his mother hadn't heard the whispered curse. She had good ears; he could never be sure what they could pick up.
After a moment, he was confident that she hadn't heard, but just to be sure, he threw a hand up towards the door to shut it properly. With a small push of magic the door swung shut and they had privacy... which set off Mrs. Thornton's radar in an instant.
"BOYS! What are you doing up there? I don't want you messing around and wearing yourselves out!"
Drew made a face at Franco, showing off the crumbled Oreos mixed with crunched candy pieces inside his mouth. He knew full well his mom was yelling at him not to over extend Franco on his first day up.
"We're just playing with stuff!" he shouted back, throwing a handful of M&Ms back at Franco. If it came down to it, Drew would hunt them all down and put them back in the bag. He had vaccumed his room the week before so it wasn't too gross on the carpet yet.

Franco did not even realized Drew's shock as he said the "D" word, he used to hear worse things than that at home, it was just normal speaking at home. Of course he tried not to use them, but some times he could not help it, they just slipped out. It wasn't that Drew was someone he should be careful with when using words anyway.
He gasped a little as heard Drew's mom calling and instinctively tried to hide the candies with the pillow, just in case, but seeing that Drew did not tensed in the slightest the boy relaxed as well and grinning started again with the little candies' war. Trying to dart them straight on Drew's open mouth.

As Franco threw more M&Ms towards him, Drew tired to catch them, but missed most of them. The whole game made him laugh out loud and he ended up spraying a mouthful of Oreo crumbs onto the bedspread. This made him laugh harder and he put his hand to his mouth to keep the contents inside... which only made him snort Oreo up his nose. That wasn't a very pleasant sensation.
Thinking he needed to start taking this game seriously, he tried to hit Franco with a green candy, aiming for the other boy's eye to see if Franco would try to dive for it.

Franco laughed too most at Drew doing faces while trying to catch the candies, and also making faces himself, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as grabbed more candies and threw them into his mouth.
Then seeing Drew new tactic, the boy tried to catch the green candy with the mouth as did not imagined that Drew's real intention was to get his eye. The green projectile hit his cheek and bounced somewhere over the bed and Franco at once tried to catch it and throw it back to the offender, kicking the ones lying on the bed toward Drew's side while snorted too and choked as were both laughing and trying to swallow.
The boy coughed trying not to spread crushed candies out of his mouth by covering it with his hand, then swallowed and grinned back at Drew, while continued with the little combat, not aware that his skin was getting red and bright, assuming that the hot sensation he felt on his cheeks were due to the choking and that it would pass in some seconds.

Drew giggled back in response, thinking this was a great game to play and most certainly follwed the rule of not getting too silly or too hyper when Franco was still recouperating. The rule about ruining their appitites was forgotten, being nowhere as near important as the don't mess around rule.
Franco missed the green candy and Drew groaned at the defeat but dove for it when Franco threw it back. The younger boy missed the chocolate as well, falling off the bed with a thud as he over extended his reach backwards.
"What happened?" his mother's voice came up from the kitchen and Drew answered her as he rubbed his head. "Nothing!" His mom never believed it, but Drew knew they were good as long as it didn't happen again.
Getting up from the floor, he started laughing at Franco choking, knowing it was just from laughing, but neglecting to realize that joining in wasn't going to help any. It was when the older boy started turning strange colors that Drew stopped laughing, thinking maybe something was really wrong.
"Dude, you okay?" he asked, never seeing someone turn so bright red before. Franco wasn't just turning red. He was glowing like he was hooked up to a neon sign.

Franco tried to shut his coughings and snorts when Mrs. Thornton called out again... he did not want her to hear him and enter to ruin the fun by sending him back to bed for rest. Luckily Drew knew how to handle things even at home, so far...
"Yeah fine!" he said cheerfully while helped himself with more oreos, trying to shove Drew's silly worries away. It was strange that he looked so worried just because a choke, they have passed through worse things at school than choking that Franco thought Drew was just trying to have a laugh at him.

Drew's mother seemed to be temporarily appeased, but that didn't help the younger boy's concerns any. Even though Franco had stopped gagging, the Peruvian boy was still glowing bright red. Drew had never seen anyone do that before and it was definitely cause for concern.
Of course, it was then that Drew remembered that Franco did that changing thing. He was a Metamorphmagus and was probably just trying to scare the younger boy. The tall Ravenclaw was no idiot and was determined not to be fooled by the trick.
Still, it was freaky, not the usual funny games Franco usually played with his gift, and Drew moved back just a little as if he was worried the other boy's bright red skin would burn. "Okay, man. Ha ha. Funny joke. You can cut it out now. I'm not falling for it anymore."
