' I thought they were all right there. ' Connor nodded his head, thankful that they had gotten most of them. Granted there still was one running around... but you can't win them all.
The Slytherin boy took a few steps forward and scooped up the frozen paper men, pocketing them in a swift easy motion and turning back around to look at Felicity, his current partner in crime. She looked about as befuddled as Connor felt in regards to the location of the missing piece. He hadn't even noticed any men running or sneaking off.... which would of course only make the search more difficult.
" I dunno... maybe he... uh... ran away? " What did a paper man person thing do when they ran away to try and escape capture. Better yet... if Connor was a paper man person trying to escape... where would he go?

Smiling easily at Connor, she made a slight face. Running would turn to hiding, and she hadn't ever really been good at hide-and-seek when she was younger. The confrontation in it wasn't enough, and she was far too loud for the game. Besides, the hiding part had been absolutely dreadful, especially when no one could find you. What was so difficult about looking in a trash can? Or the cupboard under the sink? Felicity had always thought she was obvious.
"He couldn't have gotten far, though," she hoped. He was tiny, and a piece of paper, how far could he really go? Would windy areas apply to him still? Could he have hopped onto a passerby and rode along until he was safely away from them? "Do you think it'll be difficult to find him?" she questioned her friend. "With all the paper in the library, it'd be easy to hide. But, he wouldn't last long, I don't think. Does he need to eat?"
She didn't think her spell would be strong enough for it to last long at all, but what if she'd found a spell she could actually perform well? Of course...considering the beginning of this event, it didn't look to have gone well.

Connor could barely supress his laughter as he just thought about the whole situation. It was rather funny in the first place, but the fact that there was a mission to be accomplished only made it that more ludicrous. He tried to keep a serious face on, man up about it and just find the tiny person, but the mere fact of them looking for a tiny paper man in a library full of books, magazines, and papers was comical at best. He was pretty sure they could finish the quest. Maybe.
' Does he need to eat? ' Connor shrugged his shoulders, he wasn't exactly sure. What would a paperperson eat, anyway? More paper? He wasn't sure but it sounded somewhat logical to him. " We can find him... We just have to put ourselves in his shoes. " He paused, turning back to look at his friend.
" If you were a tiny paper person about yay big, " He held up his index finger and his thumb to show an inch distance between them, " Where would you go? "

Felicity did her best to keep back a burst of bubbly laughter. Putting herself in the tiny paper shoes of a tiny paper man was all too cute to not laugh over, but she tried to sober up at the thought of how difficult the task before them could be. The mounds of paper around them were endless, this was possibly the worst place she could've chosen to learn her history lesson. But Connor was right, they could find him as long as they didn't tire of the silly chase. And really, so what if a tiny paper man ran around forever in the castle library? He'd be an amusing tale for some, a nightmare for others, but altogether quite interesting.
Pondering Connor's question, her brown eyes swept the area once more. If she were a tiny paper man, all alone in a world of what he thought were giants, his comrades fallen, what would she do? "Try to find more people to help me take down the giants who put a stop to my friends?"

Connor didn't know what he would do if he was a paper person. And Felicity had brought up a good point... what does one eat when one is made of paper? Possibly nothing, but who was to say unless they knew from experience? It was a difficult place to be in he supposed.
" AHA! " Connor shouted somewhat accidentally, throwing a fist in the air at his excitement of her idea. " Woops. Sorry. " A sheepish grin was quick to arrive to the seventeen year old's face as he sunk down into a nearby chair. " Exactly. Revenge is probably what he wants... a reprisal for the ages I think. " A lone man, trying to find a way to get back at the giants. But how would a small person do that? He wasn't quite certain but figured it would be best to brainstorm some ideas before they continued.
" We are rather large to him... well not fat or anything... tall. You know. " He wasn't sure how finicky Felicity was about the comment but supposed it was better to reassure her before she got offended at his words. " I think the worst he can do would be to bite my ankle or somethin'. " He inwardly smiled at the memory.

Covering her mouth, Felicity muffled her laughter at Connor's enthusiasm. She was glad her mistake was getting good humor, and she got to spend time with a friend she hadn't done so with in a long time. Sure, they'd gone shopping together at Diagon Alley for their school things, but she couldn't really remember spending much time with him sense, other than in class and there wasn't much room for more than a 'could you pass me...' Since Celina's sudden disappearance (likely an illness her brother was taking care of since she hadn't been able to find him either), the blonde had been a tad lonely.
Shaking her head to show there was no offense, Felicity giggled again when he told the truth. There wasn't much for a paper man to do. Could he possibly work a wand though? He wouldn't be able to hold it up all on his own, and being he was made of magic, well she didn't want to really think of what could happen. "If he wants revenge, what do you think he might do first...besides hide?"

Connor turned around in his chair to look at his friend, wondering if she had predicted an epic search like the one that was happening now. Well... maybe it wasn't that epic, but it was something to do. Any more interesting that what Connor had originally come to the library for. Plus it was distracting and full of nonsense, both things that were fun.
" I dunno really... I mean I think he would just try to hurt us. But since we're giants - I mean normal sized, that could prove to be a bit difficult for the little lad. " Out of the corner of his eye Connor spotted something moving... He turned now, putting his pointer finger to his lips to signal to Felicity that he had seen something and that they both should stay quiet for now. He stood up as quietly as possible and inched forward towards the small paper creature.
Looking back he saw a magazine on a table close to where Felicity was standing. " Pssst! " He hissed to get her attention, then pointed to the magazine and motioned throwing it, hoping she would get the gist of what he was saying. Hopefully he could trap the paper man.

Felicity agreed with Connor, it would be difficult to really hurt them without a wand at his size, and that seemed the likeliest of outcomes. What did a trapped animal do? They attacked, no matter their size. If threatened, alone, they would attack, especially after having watched their comrades go down. And since he knew they had magical powers, which in his time Giants hadn't had, what could he base his thoughts on? Would he still believe he was in the same century as she'd been reading from? Would he recognize the Hogwarts library? Even a faint glimmer of familiarity?
When Connor moved, Felicity stood quietly, her thoughts still elsewhere, unsure of what the outcome could really be. Would the familiarity of the room possibly lead him to have an advantage? Or because they were more familiar with the way the library currently was would they have the advantage? Hearing Connor's call, she glanced to him, a crease forming as she tried to make sense of his gestures. She'd never been very good at charades, not even as a child.
"What?" she mouthed at him, knowing she couldn't read lips very well either...
