Lainee's door was open even if she was not. She had forgotten something and ran out the door to retrieve it. She knew the students would settle in and wait for her return.

Anna walked into the classroom, with her books, to find that there was no one in the room. "Guess the professor will be here soon." she thought. She found an empty desk in the middle, put her things down and sat down. She was hoping that she wouldn't be the only person in class today and hoped that everyone else would show up soon.

Jade entered the class and took a seat in the front of the room. She saw Anna and said, "Where is the Professor?"
Jade took out her Defense Against the Dark Arts book and her quill. She left her wand in her pocket because she liked it to stay where she could grab it easly is needed.

Anna had just finished settling in and looked up when a girl came into the room. When she asked her where was the Professor was she just shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, I just walked in myself so I wouldn't be able to tell you now whould I?" she smiled.

{Jade why do you have your DaDa book out?}
Lainee ran into the room coming to a screeching halt. She bounded to her desk and started scribbling notes out. She glanced at the board a few times and seemed to be thinking hard before turning back to her notes.

Anna just sat there and looked at her watch to see when class would start. By the looks of it, not many third years were going to show up to class considering that there were only two people in there. In the mean time, she just stared around the room and at her cauldron.

The potions room was just flat-out empty.
It was something that Kent really hadn't been expecting, so he was a little taken-aback to see the complete lack of third-years who hadn't decided to show up for the lesson. Idiots, the lot of them. Surely they didn't expect to learn anything if they didn't show up.
There were two girls sitting, though, so he had to pick one of them to sit next to. Putting on his most charming smile, the third-year strode over to one of the girls and nodded politely at the seat next to her. "Hello, how're you doing? Mind if I take a seat?"

Melody bowed her head as she walked into the potions room. The dungeons, a work of evil criminal master minds. So dark, and damp, and unwelcoming. She hated them, and she couldn't help but with hating the dungeons, dislike potions to a small extent. Melody had always been better in the actual outdoors, and staying in a stuffy classroom with hazy fragrances to make her wozy weren't doing anything.
Melody walked past a table with a tall boy (in her opinion), and a girl, then past a second one with a single girl, she stepped into an empty desk by a wall that looked as if someone had cracked their skull there. She lazily put her bag atop the desk and looked away, back towards the front of the classroom.

Jade smiled at Kent and nodded, "Sure." She closed her DADA book and put it back in her bag. Even though potions was one of her best subjects she found it boring because it always came so easy to her.
(I was reading my DADA book before class started because I was bored)

"Thanks," the Slytherin replied, pulling out the chair and sitting down, taking a quick glance at the book the girl was reading. Defense Against the Dark Arts--one of his better subjects, but certainly not his best.
He first took the time to make sure that his bookbag was settled firmly against his chair and out of the aisleway before turning sideways to talk to the Gryffindor girl, left elbow resting on the back of his chair. "It's Jade, isn't it?" he asked, looking appropriately apologetic for not being sure about the girl's name.

Aston wandered into the classroom with a book in his hands. He had intended on reading the book on his way to class, but his brother, of course, wouldn't let him. How could he be expected to get all his reading done if no one would let him read between classes? Aston wasn't the fastest of readers and was barely able to keep up as it was.
"Bugger someone else, will you?" Aston grumbled, gently shoving his brother through the classroom. "I'm sure you can find someone else to bother."

"I TOLD you to stop reading all those other books," Addison claimed, rolling his eyes slightly as he was shoved into the room. "If you would read your school books first and read all the others for later, you wouldn't have this problem."
Pushing his brother back, Addison slipped into his chair before he could be knocked over with another shove. That didn't save his arm from a slugging, though.

Kyle entered the potions room, his books under his arm. He looked around to see who was inside and noticed that the teacher had arrived already, or perhaps he was just a little slow today. Noticing all the third years, Kyle wondered if combining the two classes was really such a good idea. He wasn't so good at potions to start with.
Only seeing the Wallace brothers from his year, Kyle went and took a seat in the center of the room. He wondered what was taking Harmony and Parker so long to get there.

Parker made her way to class, stumbling as she got in and dropping her bag. With a nervous 'ha' she picked it up, a little red and looked around the room. Seeing the only person she knew, she sat down in the center by Kyle. The center... Right... Great just where everyone can see me...
"H-hi Kyle. R-ready?"

Harmony had followed the professor into the classroom, quietly traling behind her. She didn't think that bringing the third year class and the second year class together was such a good idea, although, she wasn't about to argue with the new teacher- she was bad enough at potions to start with.
Stopping in the doorway Harmony frowned and looked at all the third years in class, but then she brightened as she spotted Kyle and Parker in the corner and walked over to them. "Hey! Quite some class we have isn't it?"
