"Yeah, I guess so," Arianna shrugged at Drew's comment. Yeah the noodles were cool and all, but she really had never seen them on a real Asian dish back home. She even wondered where the heck the idea even came from.
"Green onions, maybe" the girl called out to the elves before she could get herself into trouble with whatever other thoughts she had on the Asian food. She was starting to wonder if the house elves would go crazy trying to get everything together for them. But, no, that wouldn't happen. They loved doing whatever you told them to.

"You might be right," Jynx said with a shrug, "I was just going off of what they put on them back home when we have gone out." He didn't really care one way or the other, because he liked it all the same. If it tasted good to him thats all he cared about.
Then turning to Drew he added, "Stuffing sounds good. It's one of my favorite dishes." before he turned his thoughts back to what he actually might do to the two ingredients.

A flick of his wand to get his iPod going, and Drew was quickly in the zone, bopping his head to the music as he deftly pushed the skin aside and started deboning the large fish. He would let the filets marinate for a few minutes while he made the stuffing concoction. What he'd marinate them in, he wasn't sure yet, but he'd get there by the time the bonig was done.

As the house elves arrived with the supplies he took the ingredients that he would be using on the fish and began to get the marinade mixed so that he could drop the fish into it once he, too, had skinned and deboned it, his least favorite part of the preparation this far. He removed the knife from the table and began to peel the skin away from the good part of the fish.
After a couple of seconds, however, he realized that there were little helpers all around them just waiting to help out so he placed the skinning and deboning in their hands and turned back to his marinade that he had only gotten half the way finished before getting sidetracked with preparing his fish.

Without any experience with deboning or filleting fish, Arianna couldn't seem to get the fish separated from the skin without leaving large chunks of meat on the skin. She'd only gotten a fourth of one side done before deciding it just wasn't going to work. So she brought her wand out instead and, with a simple flick of her wrist, smiled satisfactorily when the skin and bones vanished. That was simple enough. Now she had to figure out how to do the rest.
NOt sure which ingredients would really work together, Arianna figured she might as well try a bit of everything. You couldn't know what it tasted like until after it was cooked anyway. So in went the onions and herbs, along with a dash of salt, some butter, and a little milk. She then dipped the fish in the mix before coating it with the crispy rice. Soon it was frying nicely in the pan, smelling much better than the girl would have ever hoped.

Drew poured a number of things in a bowl and set the fish inside before pulling another bowl towards him and working on the rice crispie stuffing. It didn't take too long and he wondered what else he could make as he looked around the kitchen, hoping to get some ideas.

"How are you guys doing?" Arianna asked, peering around at the boy's stuff. The kitchen sure was smelling good. Though the rice krispies on her fish didn't seem to be handling the heat too well.
"Oh, shoot," the girl grabbed her pan and pushed it off the stove, smoke curling around her head. "I forgot the...Ow!"
Yeah, that was smart. Arianna had, in her hurry, grabbed the side of the pan instead of handle. She immediately dropped the pan back onto the stove, losing one piece of fish onto the floor, and grasped her hand with the other. It didn't feel good at all. Worse, she felt stupid now.

With the house elves having skinned and deboned the fish for him he thanked them and set it aside until his marinade was complete. Once the marinade was complete he quickly chopped up the fillet into four equal servings and gently set them into the bowl, so that the marinade covered them completely. Turning to his preparations for his side dish he heard Ari ask them a question and was just on the verge of saying that everything was going great so far when he heard her exclaim again. “Are you alright?” he asked walking over to her and grabbing some ice. “Here put this on it.”

"You okay?" Drew called out to Ari, concerned. He went over to check on her hand. "No ice! Cold water." he told Jynx, leading Ari over to the sink. Ice sometimes stuck to the burn and added a frostbite to the problem.

Arianna instinctively pulled away from Jynx. She knew the boy was just trying to help, but also knew that it wasn't the best idea to put ice on a burn. Especially one like this one.
"I think so," she replied, letting Drew guide her to the sink, though her eyes were stinging from the pain. She could feel it clear up into her elbow and once the water was on, the girl dunked her hand in, relief momentarily filling her. She hated this part, though. Her hand would get too cold after a while, but if she tried to pull it out, the burning sensation would start up right away. She'd have to keep it in if she didn't want pain.
