"Is it okay?" Drew asked as he tried to peer into the pot. He was also worried about her fingers, hoping she didn't make them worse by not taking care of them while they were still tender. "Here, let me do that and you tell me what to do. You keep the ice on your fingers, okay?" he told her.

Once again, Ellie had come in to steal a few snacks from the kitchen. As she made her way to a particular island, she noticed three juvenile delinquents, Ash, Talia and Drew doing something very fishy.
Oh, it's underwear boy again... she thought to herself. WHY IS HIS SHIRT UNBUTTONED?! she thought furiously, her nostrils flaring with anger.
"Button your shirt, young man!" she barked as she took a loaf of bread and chewed it off savagely.

Great. It was that nosey Ministry lady again. Why was she always around acting like she belonged in his business?
"It's not like I'm in class or anything," he mumbled, but he buttoned up his shirt anyway. So what if his shirt was unbuttoned? He was still wearing a t-shirt underneath it.

Talia noticed the Astronomy Professor munching away on a loaf of bread and grinned. She had run into her before when she was in the kitchens aswell. Talia shook her head and wonder if this woman ever ate up in the Great Hall like everyone else, instead of coming down here all the time. Then again, she had been down here quite a bit herself... Talia sighed and grinned at their last encounter, when Jake offered her a cookie, and she decided to leave afterall.

Ash began to argue as Drew offered to help. It wasn't like she was injured badly, she could still work in the kitchens, no problem, all she needed was the simple curing charm although her mind was rusty with spell names at the moment, "No, really! It's fine, I c-" Ash stopped, hearing footsteps nearing the entrance to the kitchens. Oh my, what is that...
She gave a loud shreak as Professor Solis entered through the large doors. This wasn't supposed to happen, why was she here at a time like this? Although Ash chilled out as Solis began to yell at Drew about his shirt being unbuttoned. Did she know that they weren't allowed down here? If not, she wouldn't tell her.

"Carry on," she said, leaving as soon as she arrived again. Ellie had that habit, she would interrupt people suddenly and would just leave. How rude. Oh well, Ellie didn't really care-- as long as she had another chance to be mean and cruel towards Underwear Boy, she was okay.

Drew waited until the woman had left and the portal had latched shut behind her. He briskly pulled his shirt off all the way and tossed it to the side, making a rude face and noise at the spot the woman had last occupied. "What the heck was that all about?" he asked the two girls.

She gave a stupid smile when Solis decided to leave. She glanced at Drew, "You really hate her that much? I don't know... she's different" Ash said, even though she was truely afraid of the woman, mostly because Solis didn't like her very much. She shrugged and watched the small house elf struggle with a labtop. Ash flicked her eyes at Drew, "You wanted that?"
Ash raised an eyebrow.

"I don't know her," Drew shot back and it was that small fact that made him the most angry. This woman who he didn't know from Adam had been in his face more than was really necessary, pretending to know things about him that she shouldn't and treating him like he was some sort of delinquent. It wasn't fair.

Ash glanced at Drew and shook her head, Solis had every right to scold him. She was a professor, she didn't need to know him to be mean. "You're being over sensitive, she's just doing her job Mr. Thornton." Ash laughed a little, teasing the boy. "She's strict though, I have to agree." Ash said taking a bite out of a cookie she had found lying around, in the corner. She wasn't very careful about what she ate, she just ate anything she found that looked okay.

"Her job? Her job is to mind her own business and stop pretending like she knows me," Drew answered, hopping back up on to the counter and stabbing at his leftover cake.
Yes, he was imagining her face on the plate.

Ash gave him a 'whats-wrong-with-you' look, " She's a Professor if you haven't noticed, Drew. She can dig into your business as long as its in this school."
Why did he think that Solis didn't have the right to scold him? He was so thick sometimes, it bothered Ash. Drew really needed to snap back to reality, everyone gets yelled at once in a while... although Ash was never yelled at by anyone but her mother until Solis arrived.

Drew smirked back, doubting the school would hire a nutcase like that. Then again... they had hired a few oddballs in order to fill the ranks. If she was a professor, it probably wouldn't surprise him.
"It doesn't matter who she is," Drew answered, lowering his voice to a more even tone. "She doesn't have the right to get into my business anymore than I have the right to get into hers."
What he could do about it was a totally different story. Aside from complaining to raynor, there really wasn't much he could do to make her stop.

She shook her head again, deciding to drop the topic, this obviously wasn't going anywhere. Drew was just getting on her nerves again, she didn't want to take it any farther.
"Aih!" Ash called, "You ask for the laptop?"
The house elf looked as if it didn't know where to go, although that might have something to do with the laptop blocking its veiw. She stared at it blankly.

"Laptop?" Drew asked Ash, confused about what she was saying. The only laptops he knew about were Muggle computers, but they wouldn't have those at Hogwarts. Even if he had brought his from home, it would havwe been useless in the castle.
