Had he heard right? Were they really being given permission to fiddle with Raynor's stuff? Excellent!
He could name and label each object with ease, and knew each ones purpose as well. His first step was to just go around the room and see what there was, making a list as he wandered among the desks. He stopped to try on the invisibility cloak, grinning to himself over the fact that he had disappeared from the neck down. With his list complete, he sat down infront of a strangely silent Sneakoscope, grinning even wider this time. Figure out how to re-able them...
Again... Excellent.

Nic nodded at the Prof. and walked over to where a jacket was laying. "Sweet, a velvet jacket." Nic picked it up and realized it was a blanket. "Oh niiiiiice. A blanket for the ladies. Yo Jade, come snuggle with me in the blanket." Nic wrapped the blanket around his shoulders and watched it close before yelping like a pig. "My legs! My feet! I'm.. gone. I'm..." Nic looked up as realization dawned upon his face. "..invisible."

Jade started at the sound of her name and came out of her trance. Who had said her name? She turned and saw Nic...or what was left of him. She frowned, wondering how he had suddenly become no more than a head. Everyone was playing with the stuff. She walked over to where Nic was and said, "What's that, what's making you invisible?"

Drew had become so engrossed in working on the sneakoscope he completely forgot he was in a classroom full of other people. He squinted at the object in front of him before frowning and flipping through his notes. When he couldn't find what he was looking for, he dug a book out of his back pack and tried looking it up in there, rubbing his temples as he concentrated.

Hiro enjoyed messing with things. He had engineered remote dung-gas mines into proximity mines during project CHAOS, of course only those involved knew about that. At the moment Hiro had found an odd item that was like a rod. It was almost like a large thermometer but it would be a real problem if someone had to stick this in their mouths. Hiro wanted to test how it worked so he called over the closest person.
"Hey I need a subject." He said wishing he had come up with a better term.
(the probity probe is what he's inspecting)

Charlie had glanced around several things, though one thing held her interest. The Secrecy Sensor was something she had always wanted to have, especially when she had three lying dogs of brothers. She gasped. "COOL!" And she took hold of it. Walking around, she waited for a hum of a sort, waiting to see if someone had a something incredible that they wanted to hide. It wasn't going to show her what that secret is, but she would feel the Sensor vibrate, and it would begin to hum. (Come on, someone has dirty laundry... I know it... )

{since no one else is...}
It was the steady humming in his ear that finally got his attention. No, it more than got his attention... it was down right annoying, especially when he felt so close to figuring out what was wrong with the Sneakoscope in front of him.
"Jones! Cut it out!" he finally snapped, glaring at the girl and brushing her away so he could get back to work.

Charlie had been following the sensor so intently that she hadn't minded the push so much. Mostly because it intrigued her. "You got something to hide, Thornton. Spill the beans. C'mon..." A smirk emerged. If she could get a secret or two out of this, then it would be even better.

"Bugger off! I'm trying to work here!" he complained, waving her away again. He had gotten the thingamabob reattached to the doohicky but was still having problems with the whatsit fitting into the whirlygig.
When the annoying hum didn't leave, he finally looked over his shoulder and glared at her. "What?" he growled.

Her smile grew wider by the moment. The fact that he grew increasing annoyed by it showed her that he must have been on edge for a reason. Sinnister and cruel as it was, she thought this was amusing. "The Secrecy Sensor detects stuff that you're hiding. Meaning... you've got some dirty laundry, Drew..." The hum was consistent, patiently waiting for some anxiety. "Come on... tell me what it is, man."

"And you think some dumb humming is going to get me to spill? Yeah, right!" Drew answered back with a scoff, trying to get back to his sneakoscope. In all honesty, he probably wouldn't have a problem telling her, but not right there in the middle of class. "C'mon Jones... shove off!"

"Oh dude, it can't be that bad, cannit?" Charlie said with a tilt of the head. She paused from there. Just to switch it up, her eyes grew wide as she muttered mournfully, "I thought we were good friends, man... I'd tell you my dreadful secret..."

"Yeah, right," Drew snorted, not believing for an instant she would if she could at all help it. "Besides, I don't have any dreadful secrets," he told her, trying his best to focus on what he was doing. Just then he noticed that the whatchamajig was coming between the gizmo and the whirlygig, preventing the whatsit from fitting properly. "WOO HOO!" he cried out as the sneakoscope finally came to life, giving a low whistle like a full teapot.

Meanwhile between Jade and Nic. Nic smiled at Jade. "Yo, how I look? Scary?!" Nic turned around and laughed imagining a head just bobbing around with no body. "I don't know what this is. I think it may be like some kind of make-you-invisible-blanket. Yea, an invisible blanket. Hey..." Nic's devilish smile grew. "Two people could make out and noone would know. Jade, I see a corner with our names on it, girl."

Jade laughed at Nic as he modeled the invisbility cloak for her. She was slightly surprised when he suggested that they make out, didn't he have a girlfriend in Ravenclaw? Oh, well, She thought and smiled mischeviously. "Cool, let's go."
