So far, the seventh years had experienced both the sweet and the sour of Raynor's N.E.W.Ts level class. The sweet in the sense that they had not had to sit through any of the historical debates and discussions that accompanied this class as they had been playing a good deal of catch-up. As of this far, they had been forced to get right down to business and right into the practical stuff. The sour was that, the hideous homework load that none of them experienced before beginning N.E.W.Ts with Raynor had doubled as she had added on the information usually reserved for class discussion.
Today it seemed would either end in the same fate, or was a sign of getting back on track with more in-class torture and less outside.
The desks were indeed present, but not in the dreaded neat and orderly fashion with the symmetrical and squared columns and rows. Instead, they had been arranged along the perimeter of the room, skipping only over the door so that the room was actually accessible. Though, getting into the desks would be a little tricky as there were a few tight spaces to make them all fit.
In the middle of the room were six tanks in a row, all covered with black velvet clothes to secure the identity of what was inside. Standing over them was none other than Professor Raynor in all of her five feet glory. Arms crossed, she directed her gaze between the tanks and the students. She had managed to get the desks in a discussion formation while keeping them as far from the tanks as possible. Yet, still looked as if she expected a seventh year to come stumbling over and knock one over.
Well, past experiences might have made her privy to such paranoia.

Mercy on this professor, one of the first to witness true oddness. While Professor Raynor had been around the tanks, two secret agents slipped in sight unseen. "Dun dun dan dan dun dun... do do do...." Beni slipped on her sunglasses and hiked the collar of her beige trenchcoat upwards. Gluing herself to the wall, she walked her way to the edge of one room, almost stumbling into an unexpected desk, but recovered and then made a bunch of confusing signals to her partner-in-crime that it was safe to come it. "Glitter Glitz, we're all clear!" She kneeled, pretending to look hot shot and cool. They were two wild and cra-zay gals, Beni and Britt.

A pair of dark black sunglasses peered around the corner of the door frame, scoping out the scene. Quickly and quietly she slid around the edge and entered the room. Brittany was decked out in a long grey trenchcoat and had her long brown hair smoothed into a high pony tail. Hands crossed into fake-finger-gun position, she jerked her head from left to right making sure it was safe to cross the room. Even though anyone with eyes could clearly see that it was only the three of them in the room. She still had to do this right, if not she would be terminated.
The mission was clear and the life of her partner rested on her shoulders. Okay, so maybe not her life but at least her reputation. With another quick check, she called lowly to her, "Keep a sharp eye Curly Q. Don't need anything getting past us."
Noticing the unidentified objects in the center of the room, she squeezed through two desks to stand opposite of Beni. Looking from the boxes to Raynor then to Beni, she lowered her sunglasses down to her nose and raised an eyebrow suspiciously.

A lot of head jerking was involved with Beni's movements. As she kneeled to hide from the professor, she rolled over and made it under the desks and just a bit next to Brittany. In one fluid movement, she got up sleekly. "Can you ID the object?" She said as she looked at it in awe. She seriously had no idea what it was.

"You guys are nuts," Allegra giggled, coming into the classroom behind the two Gryffindors. She squeezed into the classroom and placed her things on a desk, prefering to perch crosslegged on top of it for the time being instead of sitting in the chair. It was a perfect vantage point to watch the Lionesses in action.

Sora yawned as he sleepily entered the class, his sluggishness evidentally showing in his slow and awkward movements. His bookbag drooped upon his shoulder, causing his black cloak to slip as well. He stiffled a yawn as he gave a tiny wave to the Professor. He noticed that in the middle of the room, surrounded by all the desks placed in a haphazard fashion, were what seemed to look like to be rather box-like looking things that were covered in black clothes.
His eyes looked around the room to see who was in it. He spotted Brittany and Beni sporting rather cool looking trenchcoats, Brittany's was coloured grey while the latter's was a bit beige in colour. He rolled his eyes at the duo's antics. Only they would do something like this.
He had to admit though...Brittany in a trenchcoat was a treat for the eyes.

Ivy followed closely behind Sora and the first thing that caught her eye were the large covered cages (or were they boxes or tanks?) in the room. She blinked at them for a moment before setting her stuff down. "What the heck?" she muttered.
Then, there was Beni and Brittany. She stared at them, not quite sure what to say. Beni and Brittany are on crack. Yes, that's what it is. They've discovered crack and they like it. They like it very much. This is why they're going around in outrageous costumes.
Or maybe the NEWTs homework was just getting to them. Ivy was never quite the same after finishing one of Raynor's nasty assignments. She gave a smile smile to the teacher before sitting down on top of the desks. "Hello Professor," she greeted.

Kian entered the classroom to find that their desks were present but crammed together and wondered how exactly they were expected to sit comfortably. In the next moment his eyes landed on the tanks at the center of the room quickly pecking his curiosity as to what they'd be doing for that lesson. If anything it seemed like it was going to be interesting and not in the least boring.
Carefully making his way around the desks he couldn't help smiling as he spotted Beni and one of her fellow Gryffindor's. Somehow it didn't surprise him that much that Beni had dressed the way she had. Finding a seat that wasn't too crammed up against other's he sat down and placed his bag on his desk.

"Intruders! Intruders!" Beni exclaimed at the students coming in. Pulling out her wand, she playfully said, "Put your hands out where I can see them!" She dodged her eyes between the lot of them, checking to see if they were friends.... or foes...

Kellen had barely stepped into the classroom when Beni started calling them all 'Intruders' and holding her wand toward him. "Whoa, whoa, what's going on?" was his first reaction for the half a moment before he realized it was all a joke. As soon as he got it, he started playing along. Hands raised in the air, he put on a panicky air. "Oh no! They've found me!"

Eager to see that someone was playing Spies with them, she tilted her head. "We know of your plan, you evil doer! You evil plan will hurt many good people... because it is evil!" Turning back to Brittany, she said, "We've got our guy right here."

Reina walked in and was halfway to her seat when she realized that Kellen, Brittany, and Beni were doing something silly. Reina rolled her eyes. Was every class going to be this stupid and what was with the profs. They really have gone lax.
"Oh MY, for Merlin's sake! Sora...seriously!"
Reina pointed at Brittany for emphathis.

Kellen smirked at Reina's annoyance just for a moment. "All right, ladies, you've caught me," he played on, speaking back to Beni and Brittany. "But you should know, I'm just the muscle here. I'm not the mastermind of the operation," he hushed his tone a bit.
"She is!" he exclaimed loudly, pointing at Reina.

Reina looked at Kellen and if looks could kill he would have dropped dead on the floor. Reina blinked a few times and shook her head before sitting. She looked at Beni and Brittany more at Brittany cuz Brittany knew her moods.
"I'm ... NOT .. playing."

And it seemed the theory behind her paranoia rang true. One seventh year Gryffindor poked her head in, completely dressed in those rather bazaar muggle clothes that the people in the move-ezz had been wearing that Banks’ mother had made her watch with her continuously last summer. The Deputy had come to fear those large boxes with moving pictures. At first she thought it was like a portrait… oh ho, how wrong; far more torturous. And they don’t talk back to you for another thing. It was kind of rude.
But when they entered, she stepped even more protectively in front of her tanks, eyeing them suspiciously. However, a smirk did keep on trying to perk up on her lips, no matter how many ties she smoothed them. Then the infamous Sora Blake seemed to first the first time ever be fully awake in her class – though he did yawn – a pity as the last time he feel asleep the class got a rather inventive display of Transfiguration. And…Kellen was behind apparently held hostage and the smartest comment she had ever heard from Reina had just escaped the girl’s lips. Oh yes, complete rights to paranoia.
“For once, Miss Diablo, I agree with you.” She cleared her throat slightly, swallowing a laugh. “If the two secret agents could release their apparent new informant, as he just betrayed his Commander, I would like everyone to take a seat.”
She ushered them with hand gestures to the chairs. One could humorously compare the action to that which a farmer might do to turn a crowd of chickens scattered flocking into that of more purpose. Though Raynor did pride herself on being able to remember that much of those moving picture things. Then again, with how many she saw… it would have been impossible not to.
