The walk from the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom to the hospital wing was exhuasting and cruel. Charlie's headache felt worse through every vibration and footstep, and the itch was too much that she started to periodically slap her arms to soothe her smoothish rough skin. She was very sure that she never wanted the Dragon Pox ever again. Fire-breathing? Maybe.
When their destination point of the hospital wing was in her view, she asked prof Raynor in desperation, "Have you ever had this before?"

"No. Surprisingly. But I treated it many times, which is rather unusual that I never got it before. When I was a healer, I specialized in herbs, but I mainly dealt with magical maladies. You'll be fine, it's no longer deadly. It's like getting the muggle chicken pox with a few other additions," The Professor offered in an attempt to make the girl feel better.
But even as she did so, she scratched idly at her neck, where, unbestowed to her, a bright blue 'pox' had taken up residence. Raynor's immune system was incredible, but not indestructible. One to many exposers to the illness it seems. But she didn't know that yet.

Selena Johnson was just tidying up the hospital wing. She seemed forever restless. She didn't know if it was just being in a new building or if it was everything else going on in her life or something else entirely. She just wished there was at least one student in the hospital wing right now. Little did she know her wish was about to come true shortly and perhaps be a nightmare as well.

Charlie nodded, glad to know that it wasn't life-threatening. She had enough of life flashbacks for one term. She didn't want another one.
Putting her hand to her mouth but then thought better against it, she spotted a bird outside the window before she opened the door to the wing. "Mmmm...." she thought, all of a sudden hungry, "Think they serve bir--I mean... chick-chicken soup in the wing?"

There was a third symptom, the Professor mused with a shake of her head as the girl opened to door to the Hospital Wing with Raynor on her heels, and of who let it fall closed once more.
"You will have to ask. I have a feeling you will be wanting a lot of... chicken." The Professor responded to the girl with a small smirk before letting her gaze scan the room until they landed on the Nurse.
"Madam Johnson? I believe we have something that requires your attention."

"Yes?" Selena said, looking up and then rising. "How can I be of assistance Professor . . . " She trailed off not knowing which professor this was. No matter, she was examining the both of them, growing more worried by the second. She had seen this before.

Charlie's stomach grumbled suddenly. She still had her mind on the bird. From what she saw, it had flown to the next window inside the Hospital Wing and landed temptingly on a branch. She was about to absentmindly say, "I'm starving," but never made it halfway through the verb when she felt another sneeze come on.
Gasping twice, she roared a big one as jet of fire exited her mouth. "Dude... sorry," she said, thankful she hasn't torched somebody. She would have to save theses sneezes for people she didn't like.

"Raynor," she replied to the other woman with a slight hint of distaste, but it was minuscule. Tamis made an effort to know who her fellow staff were (came with her position, she supposed) and could not expect others take the same initiative.
Seeing Charlie eye the bird outside, the Deputy placed her hand on the girl's shoulder with a grip more powerful than one would expect of her. She could not have the Slytherin jumping out the window, even if it was only the first floor. That was still two stories too many and too much paperwork to deal with if she were to break her skull open.
However, she retracted her hand with a bark of an oath as the girl sneezed flames, trying to avoid getting her hand singed.
"With that, my dear," she said, if the woman was as qualified as she should be, she should not need further explanation.

Having been looking them over this whole time and having now seen the ensuing flames she knew at once. "Dragon Pox," Selena said, having both had them and having dealt with a nasty outbreak her first year as a healer. "Both of you this way now," she lead them over to the far side of the hospital wing muttering to herself. "Going to need to set up wards to make sure no one else gets infected, have to owl Mungo's, they've got the cure. It's going to take a while though." After she had led them back to the beds, she went over to her cabinets. "Are either of you allergic to anything?" She called.

Blowing the hot air of her mouth, she shrugged. "Nothin', I guess," Charlie concluded, but remembered quickly, "Oh! I'm a little allergic to pollen. But it ain't too much to worry about," She scratched her arm, very sure that that was all. Concentrating on her spots, she aveted her eyes form the window to avoid any more thoughts.

"Alright," Selena said pulling down a bottle. "Are you allergic to anything Professor Raynor?" She asked, pouring a glass for Charlie. "Drink this dear," she said. "This will keep you from catching on fire when you sneeze. Since I can't get the cure right away from Mungo's this and making you comfortable is all I can do."

"But I like the fire..." Charlie complained, but went on to drink it. She wasn't sure if Raynor would give her a look for her ungratefullness, but Charlie didn't want to find out.
Downing the drink (which tasted bad-- no surprise to Charlie), she liked the coolness of it on her increasingly hot mouth. Taking the last drop, she indirectly twitched. She was in need of scratching again. Setting down the bottle, she went on to use her arm as a scratching post.

Tamis did not reply at first, still trying to figure out what this lunatic woman meant by both of them. Her immune system was impeccable. She had been a healer herself, after all, and knew what to eat and drink to make sure she did not get sick. For after all, with her long days, one could not afford to get sick.
Her mouth opened and closed a number of times before managing a response.
"Allergies? Yes... gnomes and unicorn hair. But, Madam Johnson. You can not possibly suspect that I have the Dragon Pox. My immune system is formidable... I am the Deputy Headmistress and a Head of House. I have students to look after, papers to sign, things to deal with. I cannot get sick. I do not get sick."

"It doesn't take the fire away," Selena explained to Charlie, as she went to a drawer and pulled something out. "It merely keeps your skin from being burned, much like the way you can use floo without being burned. It should be safe for you too take this too," she said, handing some to the professor. "If you don't believe me you have the pox well then," she held out a mirror that she had just gotten out. "Look at your own neck."

The woman snatched the mirror away from the nurse, not looking at her reflection. Of course she knew she had it, but having it would mean a delay in her duties. She couldn't afford that. If the nurse wanted to get her in bed, she would have to very well make her. And she certainly would not go down without a fight.
Her neck was itching horribly though. But she had too much pride to relieve herself of it right then. She would not be excluded to this wing, she would not.
"I am not sick," she stated stubbornly. Even a bit... irritable.
