Peering first into the wing, Arianna glanced around for the nurse before stepping inside, certain she had felt a small push from Drew. She didn't mind, though. Knowing he trusted the nurse made it that much easier to trust the woman herself.
"Where do you think she is?" the girl questioned as she wandered across the stone floor, eyes wandering from bed to bed for any sight of the nurse.

"MRS. JOHNSON!" Before Ari had even had a chance to finish her question, Drew's voice rang out in the infirmary.
If the woman planned on being the nurse at Hogwarts, she had better get used to the Ravenclaw boy's standard greeting.

"Drew Thornton!" Selena answered him back with a chuckle. She set down the book she was reading next to her chair and marked her place. Coming out of the room she joked with him, seeing nothing immeadiately wrong with the two. "Don't tell me it's time for another exam." She said. "I haven't studied Professor." She smiled at him. "Now really what brings ya'll to my humble wing? What seems to be the matter?"

Drew grinned back at her and the unexpected response. He made a motion to the girl standing next to him. "This is my friend Ari. She kind of has a problem we were hoping you could help us with," he answered.

Selena pulled up a stool on wheels and sat down. She gestured that they should sit down too. She placed her hands on her knees and looked at Ari. And then she looked at Drew. "I'll try my best," she told him. And then she looked at Ari again. "Tell me about it dear." She said.

Arianna had to smile at the woman's introduction. She was certainly friendlier than some of their most recent past nurses, but it was still hard for the girl to find the courage to tell the woman that she had been messing with things she shouldn't.
Taking a seat, Arianna glanced between Drew and the woman.
"I....um...I've been.....changing," she said, her voice betraying her nervousness.

Selena nodded. "It's alright honey," she said quietly in her most soothing voice. "Don't worry about it. Just tell me what's wrong. I can't help you if I don't know what's wrong. I just want to help you dear, that's all I want to do."

Drew shrugged at Ari as a way of prompting her along. Sure, he had found the nurse a little patronizing, but she was pretty good at listening and hadn't produced any needles or potions yet... an excellent sign in his book.

"I...I don't want to get in trouble, though," Arianna complained, sounding more like a seven year old than near sixteen. She automatically bit her lip and glanced back over to Drew again.

"What, you'd rather just keep on with the changing thing?" Drew asked, just a hint of exasperation in his voice. He looked at Ari with wide eyes, motioning to the nurse as if to say, 'Just tell her already...'

Arianna frowned. The 'changing thing' didn't really bug her. It was just a bit of an inconvenience. Of course, once classes started up, she wouldn't be able to hide until it went away. And what if it got worse? She knew there was no way she could keep up like she was without someone getting suspicious.
"I..." Arianna cleared her throat and turned back to the nurse. "I tried to change...myself."

"Go on," Selena said quietly. I mean this was important to know, but none of it helped her unless she knew exactly what kind of changes they were. "What kind of changes?" She asked then, figuring she'd give the girl a little help in the right direction. It wasn't easy for her to talk, she could see that, and she was willing to give it the time it needed. Like she always said, trust was an important thing to her.

"I..I have a book," Arianna started. She was still nervous, still worried about getting in trouble, but felt a bit more at ease with the nurse than she had thought she would. "About Animagi. I thought I'd try it out, but...it didn't work. But now I've been waking up with green skin and funny-looking eyes. They disappear after a few hours, though."

Selena thought about this for a moment. "Alright. Well first off, do you still have this book? I'll probably need to see it, but not for certain yet." Selena paused thinking. "And if you say this happens in the morning after you wake up? Then I think what I'm going to do, is I'm going to have you stay here, overnight, so I can see it right when you wake up, so I know what I'm dealing with. Is that alright dear?" She looked over at Drew. "Drew can even stay if you want him too."

"O-okay," Arianna stuttered. She had been hoping for a quick fix, but if she had to stay overnight, she'd do it. At least the woman hadn't freaked out and told her how stupid she was for trying such advanced magic.
"You don't have to stay if you don't want to," Arianna turned to Drew with a small smile. Sure, it would be nice to have someone to talk to, but she wasn't going to force him to stay.
