"Hmm" Humming thoughtfully to herself, wondering now if Lucas used magic or not, but from the way Felicity described the catching of the squirrel, it didn't sound as though Lucas used any magic. It really didn't sound like that Sammy would need to go to the kitchens if there was plenty of food in the gryffindor dormitory for him to eat, either. So that left the girls with no other option other than that he could be down in the dungeons somewhere. Hopefully not in the Huffle common room, though, especially not in the seventh girl's dorm room, either. Who knew what the squirrel could get up to in there?
"You know what?" Seanna said to Felicity, turning her brown eyes towards her, all of a sudden grinning at her as well, in a excited way. "We're going all about this all wrong. I mean, we have to think like a squirrel, but we're not acting like one. Wouldn't it be much better if we got down on the floor and started to walk like a squirrel? Or well, act like a squirrel?" Seanna asked Felicity, her grin getting wider. The Huffle really thought that was the best way to go about chasing after the squirrel, it might look really strange to other people, but to think like a squirrel, the girl figured you'd have to act like one as well.

The sudden change in her tone made Felicity jump in reaction. While it wasn't scary, it was completely unexpected. And had Felicity known anything about the things Sammy could get into in the Hufflepuff dormitories, she would've flipped a bit and found Alexander to request he keep an eye out for her squirrel. Even if he couldn't go into the girl's dormitory, she knew he'd at least keep watch at the floor just beneath the stairs for her.
"What?" she Gryffindor asked in response, catching her breath just after the excited outburst from the girl. If Felicity was anyone else, she might've thought the other girl was nuts, but she wasn't and didn't. The idea of acting like a squirrel was amazing, and it would have to work. A squirrel didn't only think like a squirrel, but it acted like one, so what would be the harm in acting like a squirrel on top of thinking like one? Nothing, Felicity was positive of it.
A smile splayed out on her own face as she looked with amazement at the other blonde, she was incredible.
"I think you're completely right!" Felicity agreed with enthusiasm. "Not only does it make sense to think like Sammy, but to act like him would surely enable us to think even more like him. It only makes sense."

Seanna could find only one negative thing with acting like a squirrel. If anybody saw them crawling around the floor, hands up in the air like a squirrel and sniffling the air at the same time, they were bound to get a few weird looks. Then again, she was used to weird looks by now and she really didn't care what people thought it might look like if they found them running around the castle acting like a squirrel. The only thing that really mattered to Seanna was finding the little guy and keeping him out of the dangers in the castle, the other people that gave them weird looks along the way, were really just missing out on all the fun anyways.
"It does make sense. I 'spose we might get a few weird looks from people, but if it means catching Percy quicker in the end, it'll be worth it, right?" Seanna asked the girl, her smile growing wider with excitement. The only other second negative thing Seanna could think off was that she had no idea how to act like a squirrel, she was more of a duck person, after all. Seanna had only encountered one other squirrel before and that was the one that Drew had hexed and it had acted more scared than anything.
"The only problem is, I really don't know how to act like a squirrel. I know they kind of run around with their hands up in the air and that they sniff the air a bit, but I really don't know much about them, other than that. How should we start off to act like a squirrel?" Seanna asked Felicity, figuring she would know more about squirrels than what she did. If they could figure out that small, tiny detail, they would be on their way to catching that squirrel before Sammy had decided to extirpate everything in the castle.

"Let them look," she told the blonde. If people thought they were strange, well, that was their own faults. She needed to find Sammy, if they couldn't appreciate the fine art of acting like a squirrel to get into the same mindset as one, what could she or the Hufflepuff really do for them? Absolutely nothing. It would be fun to act like one anyway, so really, in the end, besides hopefully making the goal of finding Sammy, they would have lots of laughs along side it. "If they give us strange looks, we ignore them or give them back. I mean, just because they might think we're acting strange doesn't mean we won't thing they're acting strangely, right?"
It was set in the younger blonde's mind that they were really in the right. After all, it wasn't everyday someone had to find a squirrel, and therefore had to act like one on top of it all. Really, it was an ingenious idea and she loved it. Maybe it wasn't necessary, but she was sure it would be likely to put them closer to mind of her pet's.
Felicity's jaw dropped slightly, and then stopped as she thought about the Hufflepuff's concern. Squirrels, they ran on all fours and then stopped randomly and stood up and sniffed around in the air before taking off again. That was how a squirrel acted, right? Kind of scatter-brained too, right? Or was that only in television?
"Well, Sammy runs around on all fours and sometimes he'll get up and sniff at the air-- like this," she told her giving her own example of how Sammy stood with his tiny little forepaws in the air, sniffing all around. "And I don't know what he'd be searching for, maybe nuts?" But then again, she had lots of them stored for him in the Gryffindor girl's dormitory, so she didn't know.

Seanna knew Felicty was right. Even more so when she took into consideration that they were going to act like squirrel's so that meant that they might now think that humans were strange. That, or they could just sniff at them and then run away from them if any human did come up to them that didn't smell right. "You're right. They can look, they're just missing out on all the fun, is all" After all, it was all going to a good cause as well. The cause of finding Sammy before he got lost and entered into the wild land with the other squirrels, same cause was for also not doing anymore damage to the castle as well.
Seanna got down on her knees, pulling the strap of her backpack over the front of her, so now that it was in a more comfortable position than just sitting on her side and hopefully it would stay there as well, while she ventured into the land of being a squirrel. Watching Felicity do her imitation of Sammy, the blond nodded her head in agreement with the gryffindor girl. "Nuts... maybe he might be searching for other squirrels as well?" Seanna added on, bringing her two arms close to her chest with her hands out, the Huffle trying to imitate what Felicity was doing.
"So, this would be the way he kinda would act?" Seanna asked her, the sixth year was now moving around on her knees, her hands to her chest pointing outwards like a squirrel's front paw would. The girl was also putting her nose in the air and sniffing it, but not smelling anything besides smelling the dust that was circulating the corridor. "Achoo!" Seanna sniffled and looked over at Felicity, sheepishly. "You know what? It must be really hard being a squirrel if they were to be allergic to dust" The Huffle said, letting out a few giggles, as she tried to keep herself steady on her knees.

"Hmmm," Felicity hummed in response. It was quite possible he was searching for other squirrels, but she really hoped not because all other squirrels were hibernating outside, and while it wouldn't be too hard to find him, she figured since his paw prints would be in the snow, she didn't want to go outside either. "He could be looking for other squirrels. After all, he did just wake up in a fright, so it wouldn't be that surprising. Maybe he's in search of something familiar?"
It wouldn't surprise Felicity, when she was scared or startled, familiarity was nice to find. And really, the blonde could see Sammy being the same way, searching for some form of familiarity, but she really hoped he wasn't going outside. She didn't have her jacket and wasn't dressed for the outdoors.
Her brown eyes observed the Hufflepuff and she giggled a little bit when she saw her. It was going to be fun trying to create the movements of a squirrel, not to mention, trying to track one down. Felicity matched her friend a little, trying to resemble as best she could how Sammy looked, of course, without a big bushy tail, it was hard to do.
"I'm sure it would be," she giggled in response. Thankfully Sammy hadn't seemed allergic to anything as of yet, though he had a minor cold before she left for break, but he seemed better now. "They would take in a big whiff and then would be sneezing it all back out. And with them being so tiny, could you imagine them going into a sneezing fit?"
To Felicity she could imagine it as a cartoon squirrel, but not seeing a real life squirrel doing something like that.

"Yeah... poor squirrel. It really must be tough being an animal. I mean, they would have to put up with a lot when you really think about it" Poor animals. It was no wonder that pets often spent more time finding ways of getting away from their owner then actually spending time with them. Even Percy had the habit of suddenly disappearing from the common room... though, the Huffle secretly thought that duck had been off trying to find that cat of Celina's, whom Seanna suspected he had a crush on... however weird that really was.
When Felicity mentioned that Sammy might be after something familiar, the blond suddenly thought of the library for some, strange reason. There was wood in there, after all. Seanna also knew there were mice in the library as well, after encountering a family of them once while she had been studying. "Maybe Sammy was heading to the library? It's got wood and mice in it... " Seanna trailed off, leaning back on her knees in thought.
It would make some kind of sense. Even though Seanna had thought she had seen the squirrel run down the corridor, maybe he had made it to some other stairs and decided to go back up to the second floor where the library was located. Then again, he probably would've found some other secret passage way as well, that made it's way to the second floor. Anything really was possible when it came to animals.

It was entirely true. Animals really had to put up with quite a lot, muggle or magical. Sammy was usually good about sticking by her, but he had his moments, like a lot of creatures. He enjoyed his freedom, and while Felicity didn't mind giving it to him, she really didn't like when he wanted freedom right when she wanted him most. Whenever she felt the biggest urge to hold onto him, that was when he escaped her, when he took off and made her go on a chase. However, many times she was lucky in a way. When he took off, she found people. Whether she ended liking them or not, she enjoyed meeting them. Meeting people was more than interesting, especially with the different range of people she met at Hogwarts, they were so much fun. Raising an eyebrow at the Hufflepuff, she thought about the suggestion. Felicity had only taken her squirrel with her there once or twice, so it wasn't that familiar, but it did have a lot of wood. Perhaps the wood was familiar, after all, would he really want to run outdoors with how chilly it was? The blonde certainly hoped not, but she couldn't be sure either.
Familiar places? The Gryffindor Tower, where he always seemed to run from, the newspaper office, he loved that drawer of hers, the library, the dungeons, and outdoors. That was a lot of space to cover, but the library was the closest, therefore it made a little more sense. Though, the great outdoors was very near as well, but she was crossing her fingers they wouldn't have to track him all the way out there.
"There are mice in the library?" she asked the girl, more interested suddenly in them than her squirrel. She hadn't known that, had she, she would've been leaving bits of food for them in there. Now she would have to find them, and if they went to the library, perhaps the Hufflepuff would be able to point out an approximate location, it would make it easy to find them and leave them bits of food.
"All right," she answered the girl, nodding her head. "To the library!" she giggled and began scurrying like a squirrel in the direction she knew how to get there from where she was. Only a bit before she'd been feeling pretty helpless, but she was glad the Hufflepuff girl (though she wished she could remember her name) was helping her.
