"True." Banks said, following the man's eyes under the desk where to his surprise the cat still resided. "I'll remember that. Thanks." he said.
Noticing the frown, Banks perked a brow at the man but decided not to ask. He did not want to be prying.

"Well; enough about you, I might as well give you some background on myself." Robert started before raising an eyebrow. "Unless of course, you'd rather not listen to a partial life's story." He added with a chuckle, the eyebrow now raised in question.
The man's name now clicked as to where he's heard it, could this be the man Tamis had mentioned? Lord he was so far behind on everyone, he simply had tog et in contact witht heothers, the old gang.

"Oh, no. Please go ahead." Banks smiled. "I really don't want to talk about my own problems anyway." he said.

"Well then, in that case, where to begin I suppose I'll start here, 13 years ago. My Hogwarts years were like any others, full of learning and jokes alike, and if you are who I suspect, I knew, well, am no reacquainted with your bride-to-be. Same house, same graduation class." Robert began, curious as to what his opening would get him, aside from a possible hex into oblivion.
Perhaps he had not chosen his words carefully enough, but it couldn't be helped now, if he went back to cover hist racks it would only seem suspicious.

"Oh, you knew Tamis? What a coincidence then." Banks nodded, "We are actually married, now." he told him. They had finally managed the date and all the wedding stuff that came with it after his father died.
"But tell me, what was Tam like back then. At Hogwarts I mean?" Banks asked after some moments of hesitation. He knew she had changed very much since Tait died, and only had a glimps of her in her teen years when she had hit her head at one point.

"You want Tamis in a nutshell, or Tamis drawn out for five minute, in a nutshell she was, rebellious, but one with limits. Heavens chap, I remember the time her, myself and McCreary rendered Flitwicks's office unusable for three weeks because of dung-bombs! Oh that was a joyous day to be had indeed." Robert exclaimed, laughter escaping the man for the first time in a long time. Well deserved and well needed.
"Blimey lad, she was one of the good ones, Ravenclaw through and through. Kinda reminds me o' one of the young chaps I saw earlier today. Only back then rollerskating in the Entrance Hall as forbidden, believe, it still is. But I, do not ruin too much fun." He said still chuckling. He never did get the boy's name. No sense in starting off on the wrong foot with the student body.

Banks sat in awe as he heard the things Tamis had done. Now she was much calmer, reserved, and a deputy headmistress. That was enough to be said to explain how different she was now. There were still times where Banks would see her other side. Banks was privilaged enough to see her rare smile.
"Oh, do you mean Drew Thornton?" Banks asked about the boy Shaw had met. It was a guess, but a confident one.

"Didn't get his name, but I'd suppose so, you'd know him better than I." Robert replied before continuing. "Tam did her studies lie the rest of us, we just occasionally went out for a prank run of our own. Any decent prank pulled in Hogwarts was Ravenclaw's doing and everyone knew it. If it showed a sign of planning, we always got the pointed fingers." Robert claimed chuckling.
"Pointed fingers we always dodged. Dumbledore, great man, reasonable as well. Knew a good joke when it was intended as just that, a joke." Robert finished, suddenly overcome with silence as he realized one of his idols was, and had indeed been dead for fourteen years now.

"Sounds like today's Ravenclaw." Banks smiled.
"Except we do have some pranksters in Gryffindor. The Starbreeze sisters - " Banks cut off and took a deep breath, "Always up to something. I know know that a mixture of paint, glitter, and glue does not come out of hair easily." he smirked.

"Mmm, indeed, then perhaps I shall have to watch my own office, yes?" He questioned a small grin approaching his face. As long as the world turned, there would always be a prankster in Ravenclaw.
"Great man Dumbledore, bloody great man....d'you know if those chaps at the Ministry still have his portrait up in the foyer?" Robert inquired curiously, if it wasn't there, the man was bobbing around the castle someplace. It would do some good to see the old man once more. Even if he was, dead.

The man chuckled, "They have never struck my office, but the common rooms are another story." he smiled.
Banks shook his head, "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if the portrait is there still." he replied. "Sorry."

"S'all right chap, no worries, just means I'll have to find, and pay the man a visit. Along with the current Head eventually." He claimed waving his apology off. Which really wasn't needed.
"Haven't hit your office eh? Well, I'll rig something up anyways, the only to beat a prank is with a prank. Tha' was one thing we did learn in my years." Robert stated chuckling. All the man would have to do is ask Tam and she'd back him up, he hoped, it was a true fact. Merlin knew the Weasley's works were everywhere then.

"It's worth a try." Banks chuckled. He had never heard that type of method before, but no use in not trying it. That would have been a good method to have tried when he was the Head of Gryffindor. "Maybe all of the common rooms should have something rigged up in case of a prank. That seems to be one place that is a favorite for pranks." Banks smirked. [so sorry for the delay forgot about this one. ]

"You were head of the Lions' at a point eh, I may consider the position once I become aquainted with everyone. As far as I know the position is open." Robert said a tad uncertain. No one had told him the position was filled, but no one had decreed it open either. That was one oddity of a pickle.

"Yes, I believe it is open. The lions are a good group. I am just in no shape to head them at this time." Banks told him.
"You should definatly consider it." he added with a smile.
