"There were some pretty interesting potions... but they all look slightly illegal," Drew admitted, hoping she knew he wouldn't go there... probably. It had been a while since he had done anything really major to get in trouble. Most of it was because he just didn't feel like that kind if guy anymore.
"I don't know. Maybe we'll just let it loose if we can't find something really good to do with it," he said, pretty sure it wouldn't come to that. It had been a pain in the neck to figure out how to even contain the lightning and there was no way they were going to waste it. "But right now, we're trying to figure out our own use for it though. Kind of create our own thing with it."
He thought that maybe he had said more than he should, and started worrying about the news spreading. "You won't tell anyone, right? Not even Celina?" he asked, knowing that would probably be the sticking point. It wasn't that he cared if Celina knew, but he wasn't sure she'd keep stuff from her brother.

Immediately he held her attention, and not just because of the colour of his gaze. Potions? Felicity was all right in potions, it was something that she enjoyed, got good grades in, and didn't need help from anyone else in. But lightening in a potion? She'd never heard of such a thing, and it made sense when he explained about them being slightly illegal, and her eyebrow rose even higher, doubting most were only slightly illegal.
"You can make glass with lightening," Felicity told him, remember having learned that in science once. "I think you need sand though...and I don't know if it'd have to be an immediate touch or not, but I heard that you can." No, she wasn't trying to butt in where she wasn't wanted, but if he was talking to her about it, then he must have wanted her to know, right? And she wasn't saying he had to do anything she said, she was just talking.
"If you don't want me to, no," the blonde answered, frowning slightly. As long as it wasn't something that came up in conversation, she didn't have to worry about it. But if it was asked of her, even Drew knew by now, or she thought he did, that she couldn't tell lies very well. "I can keep secrets, as long as no one asks me about it." A small smile crept over her features as she looked the boy over momentarily, before forcing her brown eyes back to his face. "I mean, I haven't told anyone about your adorable gold snitch boxers..."

The glass idea sounded kind of neat, and Drew had heard about that before... or rather had seen a movie where they did it. It had actually been that kind of thinking, harnessing lightning, that made him look into catching it. Maybe they would use one of the lightning jars for that. Hiro wouldn't mind too much, would he?
He was relieved to know Felicity wouldn't offer up the information. He figured the chances of anyone directly asking her about it were slim. Even if someone asked what the Ravenclaw prefects were up to, there were so many ways to answer that without even coming close to lying.
But when she mentioned his boxers, he gave an embarassed smile, and he felt the blush creep up his face. It wasn't that she had seen them, but more over the fact that she always called them adorable. He found it funny to think of his underwear as adorable, but at the same time, he kind of liked it.
"Those aren't much of a secret," he told her, wishing the heat that flushed his face would go away. "I mean, half of Wizarding London has already seen them."

"Maybe not," she shrugged. Perhaps it wasn't as big of a secret as she liked to think of it as. To her, it was a pretty big secret, being they were the first pair of boxers shown to her before, outside of washing laundry or shopping in a shoppe. But maybe to him it wasn't quite as a big of a thing. Then again, he had told her before that she wasn't the first girl to see his boxers, so maybe it was just that. He was more experienced with some things, this being having his boxers seen by other people.
Carefully sitting her notebook down next to herself, Felicity pulled Sammy into her arms to hold him. It gave her something to do while she tried not to feel overly-depressed about what he said. Even if he had blushed, she was feeling a little disappointed with what he said. To her it was secret. Sure, he'd said he'd stripped down to go swimming before, and she knew some boys didn't always wear their pants pulled up like they should've, so technically, if he happened to fall in that style, his boxers really wouldn't be all that big of a secret.

"But I think you're the only one who ever calls them adorable," Drew added, a little hesitantly. He had felt a strange shift in her mood and he wasn't sure what had caused it. And it was awkward enough that he really wasn't sure he should ask about it. Of course, talking about his underwear in and of itself was awkward enough. "Yeah... I'm pretty sure no one else has ever said that..."

The tugging at the corner of her lips was inevitable. He was pointing out something about herself that she was pretty sure he liked about her. He hadn't ever objected to her saying something of his or about him was adorable before, so she was pretty sure he didn't mind. And if he did, he would've told her so, like how she told him she didn't like foul language, it was kind of, sort of the same thing; at least it was the same basis.
"Well, they are adorable," she repeated, biting lightly on her lip, looking at him out of the corner of her eye. Truthfully, she did think that. They glowed-in-the-dark, though she'd never gotten to test that theory, but she believed him when he said it. "At least they match their owner, right?"
The adorable factor for both was very high in her opinion.

"Comfortable, clean, and glow in the dark," Drew finished knowing what she had been implying, but deciding to leave that for her to say. He wasn't too sure if the added information on his boxers was a bit on the TMI side, but he couldn't very well take it back once it was out there. Besides, they were.
"I always thought my Looney Tunes were a better match though..." Again, possibly TMI, but hard to resist the joke.

"Right," she answered, not really quite what she'd been thinking. If anything, she was thinking about how adorable they were, and how Drew was quite adorable, and he was especially adorable in the boxers. Then again, he had pulled her toward the loos in the Leaky Cauldron to tell her what he was wearing, and a good bit of kissing had been gotten from that, that was all under that adorable label as well. How could it not be? But sure, Drew was clean, and comfortable when he had his arms around her and she was in his lap, but she didn't think he glowed-in-the-dark, too.
"Looney Tunes?" she asked, a little confused. What were Looney Tunes?

"Bugs Bunny?" Drew answered with a question, not sure if everyone knew the cartoons he was familiar with. "I've got Tweety Bird and a Daffy Duck too." Those were pretty comfortable too, come to think of it.
He bit his lip and fell silent, not exactly sure why in Merlin's name they were discussing his underwear. It wasn't that he minded Felicity thinking about his boxer shorts, but it still felt really weird.

Unaware of the cartoons he was speaking of, even unaware that they were cartoon characters, Felicity shook her head. She knew Scooby-Doo, and only then knew of him because of her nephews being obsessed with the dog and his gang of kids that solved crimes, she hadn't even actually saw an episode herself yet, but she knew her sisters liked to buy a few movies through the internet for the boys. Sometimes Lisa was even interested.
"I'm afraid I don't know," she told him, chancing turning and seeing him straight-on. He looked almost nervous, and she wasn't sure why, but she got the feeling he wasn't really up to continuing the discussion either. Pulling her gaze from his face, her eyes again landed on his hand, still looking awfully close. Why? And she had Sammy in her hands, she couldn't just let go of the squirrel to hold onto Drew, could she? No.
However, she could shift over a bit, which she did, placing her right up against his side. Swallowing nervously, Felicity carefully leaned her head against his chest and leaned a bit more into him overall. It was comfortable, and she really liked being there with him like that.
"Sammy's gotten better about being around people," she told him, pulling the grey squirrel up a bit to show she could even lift him in the air without too much of a fight.

She snuggled up to him and he felt his legs go weak. Good thing he was sitting...
His arm automatically found its customary spot around her, and by the time he realized it was there, it was too late to think about taking it back. Not that he wanted to... he just didn't know if he was allowed. When she sat that close to him he could smell her hair and he closed his eyes, just taking in her scent.
"I'm impressed," Drew told her, snapping out of his daydream when she spoke to him. As she lifted Sammy up, he did a bit of his squirrelese as if the squirrel might really understand.

The feel of his arm snaking around her felt so good, it felt so normal, that she had to smile. Good thing Sammy was there so she could kind of use him as reason to smile. That he was definitely allowed to do, she hadn't ever told him he wasn't. And as far as she was concerned, as long as he wanted to, he was still allowed to put his arms around her whenever he wanted, and hold her hand, and pull her close... They may not be technically dating anymore, but that didn't mean she didn't like him anymore, nor did it mean she didn't love him.
"You are?" she asked, a bit surprised. It wasn't that she didn't think he could be impressed by such a little thing, but she didn't really think he'd be impressed about it either. And his squirrelese made her laugh, thinking again about the day when he had to get her down from the tree. That was in her notebook too, everything she could remember about that day, and how she thought it was funny that she didn't like him then, but he thought she had when she jumped on him from the height of the branches.

"Well, yeah," Drew answered sincerely. It was pretty impressive. "I mean, Sammy's a wild animal and you pretty much tamed him. That's not easy. Plus, he looks like he really likes being with you. That's really a big deal. I don't think everyone can do that." For sure, he didn't think he could.
"I like it when you laugh like that..." he said softly, getting embarassed by the admission, but unable to keep from saying it. He just couldn't help but think he was setting himself up for more trouble.

It was true, Sammy had been a wild animal and he was good enough to be considered a pet. A real, live pet. At home she had a dog that belonged to Freddy and his siblings, and her mum's owl, but she'd never had her own pet before, and a squirrel just seemed too cute not to have one. Besides, a long time ago squirrels used to make regular pets like cats did today, and the blonde wasn't too fond of cats. Emerald was all right, but she preferred not liking cats.
"You think he does?" she asked. Did Sammy look like he enjoyed her company? She wasn't sure, he still liked to wander a little bit now and then, but then again most of the animals had free reign over some area or other, usually the common room, but why not the entire castle?
And when Drew told her he liked her laugh, the lioness's cheeks turned a rich shade of red. Was she allowed to say that she liked that he liked it? Or was she supposed to be quiet? Or maybe apologize? But for what? She did what she felt was needed to be done, and she'd told him that.
"I like when you've got your arm around me like you do..." she answered, trailing off with her words. If he was allowed to like her laugh, then she could like that, right?

Drew didn't know how to answer that, and he really wasn't sure why he had said that about her laugh. It was true, he did love the sound of that little giggle, but why did he have to tell her? Now he just felt self-conscious over where he had his arm. At least she said she liked it there. It would have been worse if he had it around her and she didn't like it, right?
"He sticks around you so much, so I guess he must like it, huh?" Drew answered, finding Sammy to be a much safer topic of conversation.
