A slight, forming smile overcame her lips at Drew's request. "You're going to be too excited to tell me about everything to hear about all the boring things at Hogwarts," she told him gently. Though, she could only hope everything remained boring that term. "Besides, I'm only going to go to lessons and study. I all ready handed in my badge, and I don't think I want to participate in Quidditch this year."
Without him to compete against, the sport had kind of lost its appeal, besides, she wasn't the best flier anyway, even if she was an asset otherwise. To keep in shape, she was still planning on going for her early morning runs, even if she'd been slacking most of the summer. "But I will write you, about things, anything, as long as you promise to reply every time."

"I doubt that," Drew answered with a small smile in return. "I'm going to want to hear about everything... and I'll probably want to especially hear the boring stuff. The more boring the better." He kind of had a feeling that telling her about his first year of training would be enough to put her to sleep, but even then, he knew he'd love to hear about it if only because itt was what she had been doing.
"You know I will," he replied, again wishing he could just lean over and kiss her.

"But the boring stuff is so...boring," she giggled. "Besides, you'll be doing new and interesting things, and that'll be more exciting than plain, boring old me with studying." And though she was telling him now how boring her life was going to be, she knew she would tell him all about it anyway, if only because it would make her feel closer to him. It would kind of be like talking on the telephone with him.
"I know you will," she repeated after him with a smile. "But I still like hearing you say you will." It would definitely make the year go by quicker if she had constant responses from him, because it would give her something to look forward to as often as possible.

"I don't know about new and exciting," he told her, taking a bite of chicken and washing it down with some more milk. "I heard that the first year is a lot of grunt work." He was anticipating a lot of razzing being the new kid and all too.
"I'm going to reply to you every time," he told her, knowing there was only one thing that would keep him from answering. Even in that case, he was pretty sure she would get a reply to her letter.
But he really didn't want to think about that. All he wanted to think about was the girl sitting across from him. "So, what's for dessert?" he asked with a wide grin, wanting to get to the sitting on the sofa together as quickly as possible.

"But it'll be new and exciting to me," she pointed out with a cheesy grin. He'd be out of school, in the real world, doing things she couldn't do. The only thing she was worried about still were other girls, because he seemed to attract them easily, without meaning to, and she was afraid of what they'd do. Even if he would be completely honorable and loyal to her, that didn't mean they'd care that he had a girlfriend.
A big smile covered her face when he said it again, though she knew he would. It was just something she liked to hear, because it made it more comfortable for her about leaving his side the next day.
"Dessert?" she asked, pretending to be unable to believe he had room for any. Though, their dinner was a bit skimpy that night compared to other nights she really hadn't had a big plan for dessert that night. "Hmmm..." she hummed with a sly smile carving to her face. Leaning toward Drew, she took her time at taking in every breath she could of him. Touching her nose to his, she closed her eyes, wishing her mum hadn't told them no kissing. No one was around, nobody really cared other than her dad and sometimes her mum that they kissed on one another, so why couldn't she just kiss him that night? They'd be responsible, and not get into things too much, especially when anyone could walk in on them. At Hogwarts, very few cared. "I wish this..."
But it couldn't be. "But what about some leftover cake, or biscuits?"

Drew gave a small laugh back, thinking that hearing about even the most ordinary of her days would be enjoyable for him too, simply because it was news about what she was doing. And knowing the school as he did, it would be almost like he was right there when he read her letters.
As she leaned in towards him, humming her answer, he felt those old butterflies act up again. He could feel her breath, smell her scent, and it was all he could do to keep from kissing her. For a moment there, he thought she might kiss him despite the fact that they were in her parents' house. He gave a low, nervous hum wondering if he'd get that particular bit of sweetness for dessert.
But nothing except an offer of cake. Not exactly what he had been set up for, but a decent enough second choice. He gullped hard and nodded back, knowing his voice would crack if he attempted to actually speak out loud.

Drawing back, Felicity waited for Drew's answer, a smile on her face as she got to watch his reaction to her words and actions. Honestly, if her mum hadn't said none of that, she would've been happy to kiss him right then, even the smallest of pecks, but she had to abide by her mum's rules since she was allowing Drew to stay that night; even if it was on the sofa.
Seeing his answer, Felicity grinned and jumped up, grabbed both of their plates and promised to be right back. Taking their dishes to the kitchen, she placed them in the sink, knowing it was Matthew's turn to do dishes that night anyway and placed her focus on finding some really good sweets. Pulling one large supper plate down, Felicity dug through the box her mum kept cakes in and cut a large piece out, placed it on the plate, dug out a few cookies, grabbed a handful of grapes from the refrigerator, and then poured some milk into a pitcher before making her way (with a couple of forks) to the living room to present their loaded dessert plate to her boyfriend.
"Does that look good?" she asked, once more tempted to lean in for a kiss and snuggle.

He was still in the middle of thinking about kissing her when wisked away the dishes before he could even offer to help with them. She and the plates were gone by the time he got enough clarity of mind to even consider standing up and when he realized he was alone in the living room, he sat down again, his knees still pretty weak from that almost-kiss.
When she returned, his eyes were focused completely on her and while he knew she was probably talking about the dessert she had found, his mind was still on how badly he wanted that kiss. "Mmmhmm..." he answered, giving her a crooked smile. "The cake looks pretty good too."

A huge smile and a giggle were Felicity's first responses to what Drew had to say. It was always nice to hear him say that he liked how she looked, and while it made her nervous, it also made her extremely excited. Felicity liked how Drew looked too, but she found it hard to say in words rather than just being completely at peace just staring at him for hours.
Setting the plate down in front of him, Felicity had a brilliant idea, and was quite happy she'd only grabbed one plate instead of two. Carefully stepping around and right in front of him, she let herself down into his lap, thinking that as long as they weren't kissing her mum wouldn't mind too much. After all, Freddy wasn't in the room with them and she'd forbidden kissing for the night.
Picking up a fork, she dug into the cake and offered the forkful to him with a slight turn of her head. "I like it, too..."

He loved hearing that giggle and he smiled back at the sight of her grin. Okay, so maybe it had been a corny line, but if he got to hear that sweet little laugh, he didn't mind sounding like a dork... nevermind that he absolutely adored her and would be happy just staring into those gorgeous brown eyes all day.
He got his chance when she surprised him by sitting on his lap. The forkful of cake that she was offering looked awfully good, but at that moment, it was her lips that he found most tempting. So close, so sweet... surely he could have just one small kiss. With her mom resting upstairs and Matthew busy with Snowflake, the only one he needed to worry about was Freddie... but if he was fast, he could get a little kiss in before the small boy caught them. She was so close, that he couldn't resist those soft lips. Drew reached up to cup her cheek and pull her in closer for just one quick kiss.

Just barely being able to see Drew out of the corner of her eye, Felicity knew there was something more going to happen that really shouldn't. But she wanted it to as badly as she was sure he did. And they wouldn't really be doing anything wrong, her mum and dad kissed often, so did Harold and Raquel, and Meredith and Sam, not to mention Fawn and Zachary. And when Lindsay started to bring her boyfriend over, she kissed him quite a bit, too. It just wasn't fair that she couldn't when there was nothing wrong with a little kiss here or there.
When he touched her cheek, she felt her heart flutter rapidly in anticipation, and a split second later her eyes closed waiting for the feel of his lips on hers. The fact they weren't supposed to hardly filled her mind as all she could think about right at that moment was how much she wanted to kiss him, had wanted to since he arrived, and wanted to continue all night.
After the initial touch, Felicity turned away from him and set the fork down on their plate before she very carefully turned around in Drew's lap, wrapped her legs around him, and placed her arms directly around his neck. She wasn't supposed to, she knew, but she really, really wanted to.

She turned away and Drew thought he'd have to go without the kiss, but then she turned back, shifting her position slightly and now he really felt that he had no choice but to kiss her. She was just too tempting right then and there. Besides, it was his opinion that they'd get into way more trouble over the way she was sitting on him than they would by any little kiss he would give her.
So close... so tempting. He leaned in and kissed her gently, meaning to break it off after just a second or two, but finding it hard to give up those lips once he made contact. How could he be blamed? It was their last night before she left, their last chance to be together for at least another two months.

As his lips touched hers, she felt no choice but to give in. While she really didn't want to make her mum upset, at the same time, she couldn't find it in herself to stop the motions either. It would be their last night together for a long time, Christmas break at least, and that was only if he was allowed to magically stay over again, which was quite doubtful. Beyond that, their next night together would be the next summer, if he was still able and willing to help her get settled in Kenya, and then she'd likely have to deal with room mates of some sort which would be bothersome; especially since there'd likely be assumptions when she and Drew were quite angelic compared to such rumours.
Just having him so close was intoxicating, and with his kiss there was no stopping. Following along with his lead, she direly desired to kiss him like that all night, however there were too many obstacles in the way. Why couldn't he have to be at Hogwarts just one more year? Of why couldn't she leave a year early? That was when the thought came to her...she didn't have to go back...

Deep, deep down, he knew he probably shouldn't be kissing her, definitely not in her parents' living room, but when she was that close to him, it was awfully easy to forget. The only thing going through his mind at the moment was her sweet, soft kiss and the fact that he wasn't going to get to do this very often for the next year... maybe even the next three years seeing as she was going to be in Kenya and he in London.
He fell deeper into the kiss, his fingers entwining themselves into her hair and ignoring the fact that anyone could walk in on them at any time.

Following instinct and desire, which both directed the blonde to kiss Drew, Felicity had a number of thoughts running through her mind. She didn't have to return to Hogwarts, even if her mum would be broken hearted over such a decision, she wouldn't be angry, but Felicity also knew the consequences of such a choice, muggle school and university following. Not that there was anything wrong with the choice, it just wasn't something she wanted to do, especially university. At one time she would have given anything to attend, knowing that was where David said his life had always began. He found his calling, his true love, everything at university, but Felicity all ready knew all of that, just from Hogwarts.
The feel of Drew's hands in her hair made her relax at the thought that he was really all she needed, knowing her dad would kill if she ever spoke that thought aloud. But all other thoughts flew from her mind when she heard a noise move down the hall from the kitchen and she quickly withdrew from her boyfriend and peered around him, hoping they wouldn't get into trouble.
The wait was agonizingly painful, but she giggled when she saw who came to visit them. Her family dog, Pahndah was slowly making his way toward them, as though checking up on the two.
