August 13, 2008 10:03pmThere had to be another way out. He should have never joined in the first place. But he hadn't known... Alfonz stood in the darkest alley in Knockturn, already aware of who he'd find. He had heard of Schmidt hanging low in all of the lowest of places. Must have really annoyed the former death eater having to hide like a sewer rat, or at least that was what Alfonz was hoping for. What kind of leader was Shaw to make his followers suffer so? That was what his argument would be to his off friend. He was dangerous, and soon, he would hopefully be Alfonz's ally. It would be a shaky one, Alfonz was sure. The older man at Hogwarts seemed to want to kill or do away with Brady more than Alfonz had; and of course, Alfonz would have let him. Better he get caught than Alfonz. Alfonz still had his sister to protect. Of course, that also was one of Alfonz's issues with the man. He was the one that had led Celina back into the Great Hall to be in front of Shaw. Man handled her, and roughly at that. Alfonz growled to himself, almost asking if he knew what he was doing, but the answer was all the same... If he couldn't get out one way, he'd make Shaw release him another. How could Shaw be a leader, if there were no followers after him? Sienna London, Azkaban. Apollo Schmidt, on the run. Where was there leader to protect them now? Also in hiding, but at the same time, ballsy enough to show his face and taunt the ministry. Lame. Wothless. Traitor. Mutiny? Absolutely not. Change? Absolutely. (Apollo/open...please be realistic if you do join though. No first year is going to be there and so on )

All good boys deserved fun, unfortunately Shaw must have thought Apollo was a rotten egg or perhaps an exploding egg? He had been cooped up in Cross manor for too long and he needed to stretch his legs just a little, so he went shopping in… that’s right, you guessed it, the not so hidden black market known as Knockturn Alley. He wasn’t in a really deep disguise but a few charms and changes had occurred, he had magically lightened his darkly tanned skin, hooked his nose, turned the corners of his mouth and added a scruffy graying mustache goatee combo which Apollo seriously considered keeping. He walked with a false limp on his right leg and kept his right hand on his wand at all times. He was indeed a wanted man and though these alleys were littered with shady wizards danger from an auror bust was existent.
Apollo removed his hand from his wand and pulled a golden ring off of his right ring finger. The ring was embossed with his family crest, proof of who he was, good luck to anyone who tried to wear it without Schmidt Blood because the most likely result would be the loss of a limb if not life. He wanted so badly to throw caution to the wind and rid himself of disguise but there was no chance he would survive any such stupidity. As it was he was pushing the limits but if he couldn’t do that why bother living right? So he hobbled down the darkest alley he could find so he could disaparate in peace and return to his isolation.

Was it him? Alfonz could only begin to guess for the man who now walked toward where he was limped and looked nothing like the man Alfonz had remembered from the countless Deva planning sessions that had have had to occur before Hogwarts could have even been invaded. But at the same time, there was something about him that almost made him seem…it was him. Alfonz knew it with all of his blood, especially with the way he moved his hands. It was a small mannerism, but one that Alfonz had caught many times before. There was something about it that was irritating. Alfonz couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was that bothered him so about the man, but he could tell that it was finally him.
A smirk of triumph was already pulling at the side of Alfonz’s lips, and as he watched Schmidt walk by, he slowly crept out of the alleyway behind the man. At this time, Alfonz also had his own hand on his wand. It would be a miracle if Schmidt didn’t pull his when Alfonz made his presence known, and for that reason alone he stood back, wand at the ready for a bit of a duel if needed. Alfonz wasn’t good at dueling, and figured that with any luck left in him he wouldn’t have to do such a thing, but he didn’t know, and he rarely believed in luck any more.
“Out of the hiding place you’ve been shoved I see?” Alfonz called out to the older death eater as he watched the man play with the ring upon his finger. It would be his only chance probably that the man wouldn’t be armed and dangerous; the only time Alfonz saw Schmidt being somewhat harmless.
“Or did Shaw really let you out to play? After all, I doubt he’s let you do much since January while he’s been out gallivanting around.”

It was indeed deserted in the alley yet Apollo’s guard wasn’t down. He knew something was wrong, to be honest everything had been to smooth, to easy for his little excursion into the actual world. The rubber soles of his black leather boots made a soft scuffing noise every time his right leg moved forward scuffing the sole against the cobble stone. In a way the boots were so like Apollo, the spit and sine was worn off, leaving a gruff exterior yet functionality still remained. Apollo didn’t waste his time shining his boots but as he looked down at his feet he couldn’t help but notice that he should have his elf shine up these very old boots the scuffs gave them character, depth, an integrity of their own; and this was character worth preserving
“Out of the hiding place you’ve been shoved I see? Or did Shaw really let you out to play? After all, I doubt he’s let you do much since January while he’s been out gallivanting around.”
There was indeed someone behind him but this didn’t surprise him, by the voice he recognized Jedynak. He didn’t know much about Jedynak except he was also a member in the Deva and had helped in the take over. “Perhaps.” He said as he turned around to face Jedynak. “Have you been looking for me? Or do you hope to catch some poor helpless soul this late at night?” Jedynak was wrong though, Apollo was always dangerous, it was just a matter of what methods. His right hand dropped to his wand which he kept in his pocket ready to fight, it was just a matter of who would move first.

"I don't bother with hopeless individuals," Alfonz stated bluntly, looking around in the darkened streets. He wasn't fully dumb to what danger he may have just put himself into, but at the same time, he found it necessary to do. As a leader, in Alfonz's argument, Shaw had failed. Two of his loyalest members, locked away, or in hiding with no jobs to do but wait for when Shaw had enough gull to create some other disaster that would only blow up in the Deva's faces. That was a brilliant take on it, in Alfonz's opinion. "I was looking for a character such as yourself. Seems as if things need to be done, and yet, we're not doing anything but sitting around. Waste of what talents we have, don't you think, Mr. Schmidt?"
Alfonz smirked and took a couple more steps near the man. Oh, yes...this wouldn't be hard at all.

Apollo grinned widely when he mentioned not bothering with the hopeless, which was one of his personal philosophies, call him a Darwinist, but it was indeed the survival of the fittest. As Jedynak stepped towards him Apollo also advanced. As he stepped closer to the other man his right hand was carefully moving his wand up his right sleeve once he finished this unnoticeable movement he withdrew his hand slowly seeing how tense Jedynak was he moved deliberately, call it a false sense of security but hell if it gave him an edge it was worth it. He displayed his hands leaving them unclenched palm up in front of him at waist level. “I could agree to that, enough dancing around the subject, what do you propose?” He was indeed being direct he knew Jedynak would only bee saying that if there was something he wanted, unless Shaw put him up to this to see where Apollo’s loyalties lied. He would have to be careful where he tread in this conversation.

The man was all business, and Alfonz could see this from his way of speech. "I propose that someone else take the lead," Alfonz said calmly. It would not be he who would do such a thing, absolutely not, for he wanted out. Celina's life was more in danger with him residing with the Deva than they had ever been when he was not involved. He had just wanted an easy way into Hogwarts, that of which he accomplished. However, it had come with a grave price that Alfonz Jedynak was not willing to pay.
"I think the Deva need a new section leader, and I'm willing to get them into that position of power," Alfonz smirked as he said so, watching Apollo closely as if to prepare himself for any sudden attacks the man might throw at him. He was not dying in this alley, nor any other that his sister told him she fretted about.
"But of course...there'd be a price...a catch of sorts," Again, Alfonz smirked and nodded his head. "I think you know where our real goals lie, Schmidt. And I want to help you achieve them...in Shaw's place, you'd be the one truly to succeed. The invasion on Hogwarts wouldn't have been such a failure under different leadership..." Alfonz paused. "Interested?"

Apollo reached around slowly and carefully pulled his hood over his head his mind was moving rapidly. What this man proposed was treason, pure, plain and simple. Apollo had to agree though, Shaw was doing a very poor job with failures around every corner, and Apollo failed to understand why they had so fool hardily stormed the school with nothing to gain from it but massive failure. 'Price, price, price.' Rang though Apollo’s skull crossing his head repetitively 'Of course there is a catch but what was that catch? Was it something simple? Obviously not or Jedynak would have done it himself. This whole thing screams trap.' He thought to himself knowing that if he said the wrong thing here it could very well be the price of his life. “You want a revolution, treason? What do you stand to gain Jedynak and why me?” His voice was harsh but surprisingly neutral as though he were speaking to a child who bellowed ‘anarchy’ despite a lack of knowledge as to what anarchy could cause.

"I want nothing but a way out, and I'll do anything to achieve it," Alfonz's eyes narrowed at the man, and his face hardened. He wasn't afraid for his life, nor was he afraid of Shaw or Schmidt. He wanted out for Celina's sake, and if that meant putting another man in power that would allow him to do as such, then so be it. As long as Alfonz was set free, there was no other gain for him. Nor was there any other goal.
"My ideals are the same as they always were, but Shaw does nothing for his own people except treat them like dirt, leave them in prison, and when they want an out, threaten their pureblooded families. I want out, for he's not a man I want to follow. Especially, when his focus is obviously on a school that the ministry doesn't even seem to care that much about." Alfonz let all of what he said digest in the man's mind for a while before continuing.
"You're wallowing around in the mud, while you should be out there...free and in control. London is still in prison...rotting away as a worthy pureblood shouldn't be. I'm in no better shape...trapped in a school and threatened by Shaw daily," he lied. "You want to know why?" Alfonz paused. "It's because he's afraid, and clueless about what he needs to do. Can you prove to me otherwise?" Alfonz waited for the man's response.

These lines rattled around in Apollo's head there were gears within gears working here and to be honest it made Apollo think and think hard. "Can you prove otherwise?" "First of all what do you want a way out of and how do I know that you won't use me to oust Shaw and take the reins for yourself?" he voiced as he slowly lowered his hands to his side stepping closer to Jedynak hoping that this advance might put a small bit of fear, to be honest at times Apollo had frightened several adults with just a smile or smirk. It was a talent as well, a smile was so often more frightening than the evilest of the evil stares.
Shaw was inept and unable to act, he let emotions and attachment get in the way of the mission, that was unwise and impractical. Not to mention that was a mistake that could quickly become fatal.

Alfonz smirked as the man moved in closer, oblivious that he should have been shaking in his robes. This was his way out for sure, and Alfonz watched as Schmidt took the bait and proceeded with what Alfonz was hoping he’d do. Of course, all of what Alfonz had said was true…Shaw was an inadequate leader for the Deva, for what he was trying to do. He seemed to have something that drew him to Hogwarts, more than naught, and that was unacceptable. Especially, if the reason he scourged the grounds of Hogwarts time and time again for Raynor…Alfonz felt a pang in his gut. Shaw needed to be taken out.
First of all what do you want a way out of and how do I know that you won't use me to oust Shaw and take the reins for yourself?
“I want a way out of the Deva with no consequences. I don’t want any of this to effect any of my family, for it already has my sister,” Alfonz said slowly as if to allow the man to understand that he has a weakness; a flaw. Alfonz knew it to be as such, and with it he found that his dealings with the Deva became more dangerous every time. If not for himself, than for her.
“And how do you not know?” Alfonz questioned him, repeating back what he had just asked of him. “You don’t, but it’s your choice to wallow in the mud, or take a risk.” Did Alfonz think that Apollo Schmidt could really take over the Deva? No. But distract Shaw away from him? Absolutely.

This was getting interesting and very fast. Apollo had a choice here although it wasn't much of one. if he wanted to he could report Jedynak to Shaw but that would reveal what he wanted, and his true opinion of Shaw not that it wasn't hard to figure out really. The other obvious option was to indeed roll the dice and play his cards, take the risk let vents unfold. That is what Apollo wanted, power was good and destroying an inept leader was even better. "Alright, Jedynak, do you have any ideas as to go about our revolution?" he hadn't truly agreed he just wanted to know how Jedynak and he were going to accomplish this. The alley was indeed the darkest and it was getting darker as Apollo puller of the sun started to set on the day of Robert Shaw.

Our revolution.
It was a statement made that Alfonz was sure he wanted no part of for revolution was not exactly how he would have phrased it in his own mind. However, Schmidt was interested and hopefully it would make everything all that much better. “Well, one thing I do know is that we cannot do it on our own. We need others within the organization that feel the same way and will follow a new leader when one arises.” Alfonz thought of London in Azkaban, and even Waine with the ministry. All of which were sitting back, biding their time and waiting for an answer to come to them, when none actually perceived it would come.
“We need to talk to London, and Waine. Express to them…” Alfonz hesitated with his wording. “our idea, and your ultimate victory. And then…reel Shaw into it.” Alfonz smirked as his mind was reveling in what could be done. “I can talk to London and Shaw…I’m thinking we need something. One last thing to show the Deva members that Shaw is in adequate for the position.” He nodded.
“Is there any way else you can talk to the others within the org?” Alfonz asked. London would be the key part for what Alfonz was cooking up, and he could talk to Shaw. Shaw may suspect something, but he’d never expect anything to this extent. Shaw put too much of his faith in Alfonz’s protection of the younger Jedynak, and not enough thought into exactly what he’d go through to protect her.
“But,” Alfonz stated. “After everything is said and done, and you are in power. I’m out with no consequences. I have other business to attend to that interrupts the development of the Deva…and I want out.”

London. He had hit a key player. She was indeed rotting in Azkaban and that was a problem one he was sure he could fix and quick if he could get the resources. Others. There is the problem, how do you control your own riot to land you on top and how do you know that when the dust settles that someone won't pull the same stunt?
Already plans and counter-actions filled Apollo's head with the possibilities which he brushed to the side of his rapidly working mind so he could concentrate on the moment. “Yes, I have a few people in mind Jedynak.” He said carefully not wanting to tip his hand, to be honest the people he knew in the Deva were few, and even fewer knew him well enough to follow him but of all the people he knew he figured all of them had at least one question about Shaw’s leadership capabilities. “So after the dust settles and I am in charge you just want to fade into the black? Leave memories and return to your life that isn’t very simple or easy. People know who you are especially the rest of us and that would be a problem for a life that will be peaceful.”
This night was indeed becoming blacker and blacker the question was and would indeed be will the sun rise on Apollo's leadership or will it also set just as fast as Shaw's?

Apollo knew people? Even with as news as it seemed to be to Alfonz, his facial expression was never changing. Maybe Schimdt was smarter than he looked; Alfonz had to smirk at the thought though. But he was agreeing and he was double checking everything within his own thoughts. That much, Alfonz could see and tell with the man's words. "I understand what could happen, and yet that is exactly what I am asking for," Alfonz replied. This man had nothing on what Shaw had in all reality, and Alfonz knew it.
"Those who think they know are no threat to me, and those who do know, know that I am no threat. I have things holding me back, and if anything, more of a liability than anything else." Of course Alfonz kept what was holding him back to himself. All he needed was for Apollo Schmidt to know that the ebony haired girl that he had man handled in January at the take over was his sister.
"But it's up to you. I'm willing to help..." Alfonz said shrugging and making his way to turn from the older man. "hell, I'd even set the entire thing up." Alfonz already had an idea of how, when, and even where...all Apollo needed was to take the fall and the credit for it. In the end, Alfonz only found this more and more promising as the conversation continued.
