Having found a safe compartment for Jeremy to hang out in, Drew jogged down the length of the train to the front compartment, knowing that he and Charlie were supposed to be running the prefect meeting. He wasn't sure what to say or do, but hopefully, Charlie would have an idea.
Actually, maybe there was something he could mention. Back at the end of the previous year, he and Charlie had discussed some options to the recent situations at school. Was this the time to bring it up? Did he even trust the prefects as a group to tell them about the plan? He'd have to see what Charlie thought.
Unfortunately, she wasn't there yet. He opened the door to the first compartment to find it empty. Now all he had to do was wait and see.

After talking to a few buddies of his, he decided to meet up with Drew or whoever else in the Prefect meeting. He walked down the path to see everyone jumping around excited about Hogwarts. He could see about little munchkins running around this whole train. Being 6 foot, it's like he could stomp on them. But he wouldn't do that, now would he.
He made his way inside the room, where he saw just Drew. He plumped himself into a seat. "Ready for this one, eh?" he said to Drew, then looking at the floor waiting patiently. Samuel wasn't here to look after, and Tristan had nothing else better to do. Samuel transfered to Wales Smithie, because of Aunt Yolanda and her raves about Hogwarts having all these disasters and she thinks it's lunatic now. They even tried to get Tristan transfered, but after many threats to run away and never come back, they let him stay.
But he was ready to hear what the Heads had to say.

After sitting with Celina for a small chat, Felicity finally tore herself away from her best friend to go to the meeting. She wasn't fond of the thought of it, she didn't want to be a Prefect. To be put in such close proximity to people she didn't like and to find it such a cruel joke to be given the honour of being Prefect was ridiculous. It was torture, someone thinking she should be a Prefect, what were they thinking? And she couldn't even turn in the badge like she thought she might do because her mum had gotten her up the next morning and saw the badge and the letter on her table. Why hadn't she just owled it back that night when she'd opened it?
However, she couldn't worry about it. She would just have to play the part of a Prefect and see where it got her. Drew was excited like nothing else, but Felicity couldn't help but feel like someone was playing an awful joke on her.
Walking into the meeting, she smiled at seeing Drew and walked over to him and placed a kiss briefly on his cheek. "Hi..." she said softly before saying the same thing, but louder to Tristan. "Hi."

Drew had already sprawlled out on one of the benches and didn't bother sitting up when the door opened and Tristan came in. He and the Gryffindor had gotten to be better friends over the past few months, so Drew was glad to see him even though they had jsut spoken a few minutes ago.
"Dude, I don't know," Drew answered honestly, shaking his head. He had wanted this badge so badly and now that he had it, what was he supposed to do with it? Did all of the previous Head Boys have this problem? For some reason he couldn't see either Kellen on Corey being this clueless.
The door opened again and this time, Drew did sit up, grinning at the sight of his girlfriend. "Glad you made it," he told her, a slight tease in his voice. He had never doubted she would.

Alexander Cronon II was the next to enter the compartment for the meeting. Just getting himself on the train as it was just about ready to pull out, he hadn't even put his bad down in a compartment that held his robes in it before coming into the meeting. His hair was unusually messy and as he filtered his hand through his hair, one could tell that the boy was nervous. There had been a lot of things that had happened over the summer and he tried to sort through them all as if it was as easy as filing through an old court case of his fathers. Not even Felicity knew everything that had happened, and that was because living so far away from each other they could only get together realistically a couple of times.
As he entered the room and saw Felicity, Drew, and Tristan he smiled and gave a head nod taking a seat, but not saying a word. He hoped his smile would be enough, for he really didn't have that much to say that would all come out in one enormous amount of energy and just freaked out family drama blah blah blah. It just wasn't going to work. Why did his mother have to tell him right before he got on the train? There had been no time to figure anything out at all...he just shook his head mentally and leaned back in the bench sighing. Holy crap what a beginning to a new term.

Tianne thought that she was running late. After saying a quick hello and goodbye to Seth, Matty, Ryan and Abby, she had left, as she knew that she had to make this meeting in time. The girl, with her hair up in a messy ponytail, naturally curled as usual, and her robes neatly pressed and cleaned, she was happy to be able to call herself a prefect, even if she didn't think she looked like she was actually capable. Why had they picked her, of all the other students attending Hogwarts that were in Ravenclaw, why had they picked the shyest, most fearful person in the house?
Tianne had actually gotten a lot better at Public Speaking and introducing herself to others, but that didn't mean that she was in tip-t shape for being a prefect. She knew that she'd be expected to be good at helping people, and that she'd have to do that a lot, but there was only room for improvement.
The fifteen year old wandered down to the compartment where she knew that the prefect meeting was being held. Before walking in, Tianne took a deep breath, telling herself that she could do this, and that there was nothing to be afraid of. Pushing herself through the door leading into the compartment, Tee grinned. She noticed that she was the fourth person to enter, and she sighed with relief. The girl had thought that she was running late, but as you could blatantly see, she was not. "Hey." She said, giving Felicity, Drew, Alex and Tristan a small wave, although she didn't really know each one of them. She only knew Alexander and Tristan by name, but she had never met either of them.

Charlie barely had time to make it to the station, let alone the prefect meeting. Since getting out of her brother Chris's flat, she had to make several U-turns back to his place to pick up forgotten items. He had begun to be impatient with her as she kept on picking up spare qudditch gear, new books, and items of memories past. Eventually she had everything totally cleared out, and she was ready to be apparated out to King's Cross, just in time to hear the call for the last board. It was hard to make the departure warm and nice seeing as Chris was mad by then, so she gave him a cold hug and got the heck into the Hogwarts Express.
Inside she could get herself situated with her friends, but yet again she had missed out on a lot because she had to get to the loo. By then she realized something: Prefect's meeting-- LATE! She had rush again to get to where she needed to go, throwing some chewing gum into her mouth while she was at it.
She had practically collided into the compartment door when she stopped herself by the handle. Her arrival was evident by the large thud outside the prefect's compartment, followed by her brunette head popping into the compartment. "Hey, yeah, man. Sorry, I had to tie up some loose ends," she said with a light pant. She took in a deep breath and walked in cooly, seeing not even half of the prefects there. Seeing none of the Slytherins, she sighed. Was it going to be double duty, acting as a prefect on top of her Head Girl position? If they didn't show up, she was going to personally make sure they get into the habit of showing up.

"And you doubted me?" Felicity asked with her own teasing smile. Though she wasn't happy, completely unimpressed, she wouldn't have copped out on the meeting. Raynor wasn't around so at the moment she had nothing to fear. It was when she got to the castle and she would have to interact with the woman that Felicity might possibly cop out on things. Plus, if things worked well she wouldn't be a Prefect for too much longer anyway, she just hoped that what she had planned could possibly work without her getting into too much trouble and making people really angry with her.
When Alexander walked in and only smiled, Felicity wondered why he hadn't actually said hello. Especially to her, they hadn't had a fight that summer, so why was he so solemn? Squeezing Drew's shoulder lightly, Felicity skipped over to the Hufflepuff and took a seat next to him. He wasn't the most sociable creature, but he usually at least said something. But before she had a chance to say anything, Tianne walked in followed closely by Charlie.
Throwing a smile at each, Felicity turned her attention back to her friend and nudged him in the ribs gently. "Hi Alexander," she greeted him rightfully with his full name, like he liked. "How'd the rest of your summer go?"

The time had finally come around for Connor to go to the prefect's meeting. He had left the compartment with Celina at the same time as Felicity had, but got caught up talking to someone along the way. Having realized the time, he started to make his way to the front of the train. And while he was quite sure that there would be prefects younger than him he still felt a little nervous that he wouldn't know what he was doing as a prefect. He jingled the change in his pocket as he walked to the front compartment, preparing himself for the meeting ahead. What would the head boy and girl talk to them about? Anything of too much importance? He wasn’t really sure, but thought that it would at least be nice to see who else had made prefect and even quidditch team captain. He had already seen most of the people who had assumed a new student leadership role at the first year orientation, but now he would have a chance to see everyone.
Connor opened the door of the compartment and looked around before stepping inside of it to see mostly familiar faces, and some not so familiar. One of the people he knew he would have to get more used to seeing around was Charlie. He knew that she was the Slytherin prefect last year and assumed she still had the position this year as well. As he thought on it, though, he remembered hearing something about her becoming the Head Girl. So did that mean there was another Slytherin prefect besides himself? He couldn’t be too sure.

"Never," Drew answered back with a grin. He knew she wasn't thrilled about getting the Prefect badge this year, but for the life of him, couldn't figure out why. In his opinion, she deserved it more than anyone in the house... but that was just his opinion.
With the entrance of a few more people, and most importantly, the new Head Girl, Drew figured they should probably start. They had at least one person from each house, and while he considered waiting for Hiro and Seanna, he wanted to get this thing over with.
"Do we all know each other?" he asked, figuring that was the best place to start. Really, the only one he really didn't know was the new Slytherin Prefect, but he had seen the guy around the castle and at the first year orientation. "Uh... I'm Drew... Thornton... Ravenclaw... and I guess I'm the Head Boy." The last he said with a small smirk, as if expecting them not to believe it. He wasn't sure he even believed it.

The ravenclaw quickly found herself a seat, taking one that wasn't intruding on anyones personal space. It wasn't that she didn't like the people, it was just that she only knew a few of them, but those that she did know, she wasn't close to at all. Tianne looked around at her fellow prefects, taking in the fact that she was the youngest at the meeting. There was four seventh years, and two sixth years, but yeah, she was the only fifth year. How she wished that Matty, Ryan or Seth could have been here now, or at least someone that she could relate to properly.
Tianne fiddled with her thumbs as she waited for the meeting to begin. Every now and again, she would look upwards, seeing a few of the prefects talking. As Drew decided that it was time to start, the girl smiled, glad to be underway. Tianne knew that her fellow Ravenclaw would get Head Boy, but she wasn't sure who else would have, only because she didn't really know anyone else. After Drew introduced himself to everyone, she smiled, knowing that there was no way that she was going to do the same next.

It was time to focus. Getting Prefect had been a shock to him, and yet, Alexander found that he gladly accepted the position. Hell, if Rolen could do it, then any git could...but that was just his opinion on the matter. Listening to Drew start, Alexander nodded his head. Did it figure that his classmate had gotten Head Boy? Yes. Alexander wouldn't know anyone in his year who would have gotten it, that was for sure. He was the most known older year in Alexander's opinion, and he had the over confidence that was needed for such a position. Alexander was just glad it wasn't him.
Looking to his side where Felicity had sat, he flashed her a sweet sideways smirk. Alexander was happy to see her there at the meeting, and even happier to see that she was sitting right next to him. Over the summer when both the Hjorts and Cronons had found out that their children had both gotten Prefects, a huge dinner was held for them. Felicity didn't seem to thrilled then, just as much as she seemed thrilled now...but at least it kept his mind off of what news he had found out about home. There was so much planning to do after this year, and especially if there was to be a new edition...Alexander didn't exactly know what he was going to do, let alone his parents.
Shaking his head to clear the thoughts of home away, he waited for anyone else to speak up. After a few moments of waiting, he couldn't take it anymore, and figured he'd get it over with. "I'm Alexander Cronon, Seventh Year, Hufflepuff." He smiled looking around the room, hoping that he had made sure every blemish was off of his face that day. Where was Seanna? Alexander rose an eyebrow... he was hoping his partner in crime that year would be there. Now who was he going to make faces at?

Pulling her feet up on the seat with her, Felicity caught Alexander's semi-smile and figured things must have been all right, otherwise he wouldn't be putting on that kind of a look. It'd be more of a facade otherwise, wouldn't it? Besides, if something was wrong he knew he could talk to her, just like she could talk to him. They were friends, had been for eight years, and things couldn't get much worse than what they'd been through together all ready, could they? She doubted it.
As Drew got the meeting started, she couldn't help but grin. He was Head Boy. He'd wanted it pretty badly, though he tried not to let it on too much and she was happy for him that he got it, he deserved it. How hard had he worked for it in just the last year? Quite hard and now he could relish in knowing he'd done something to be extremely proud of and hopefully something that would look good on his application to the Academy as well.
And as Alexander introduced himself, Felicity rolled her eyes when his smiled paused on her for the briefest of moments before he turned it to look at everyone else. He knew she was proud of him, the feast of a dinner their families combined was more than enough for him to know everyone was proud.
"Felicity Hjort," she called out next. "Gryffindor." Did it really matter her year?

Introducing again? Hell, everyone started to call him James Bond at school for awhile, however that was. Of course he thought it was a muggle, since the lot of them that called him James Bond were muggle-born. But whatever. He didn't care. He stood up from his seat and cleared his thoart. Not trying to make a speech, but he if talked it would came out like he was a having a squeaky voice or something.
"Uh, Tristan Howard. Seventh Year.. Gryffindor?" he said as he plumped back down in his seat.

He didn't care. He didn't care. He. Didn't. Care.He knew he was late, but he didn't see a point. They already knew their House passwords and really what else was there to do on a bloody train besides make sure the fresh-bait-pixies didn't get motion sickness or something of the like? He didn't want to be there, and if he had his way he'd be off making his first (negative) impressions on some of them somewhere. But no, instead of doing something he could classify remotely enjoyable he was about to be stuck in a compartment full of prissy, high-nosed, goody goodies for at least what,a half hour minimum? Ugh. The thought of it made him want to puke - and he hadn't eaten much of anything yet. The seventh year entered just as the blonde-topped Gryffindor announced himself, having already garbed himself in the hated Hogwarts attire. His personal piece of pewter made it clear he was in fact warranted to be there even if it would be against many other's wishes. So I trudge all the up here just to give my name, rank and bloodline? Do they want my birthday too or is that still privvy to me and me alone? the Slytherin thought with the slightest of dry smirks. Seeing as he'd just rudely interrupted a meeting he was supposed to be at five minutes or so prior he decided he'd let someone else go. Eyes were on him (what a wonderful human reflex), and he just so loved to disappoint. Personal habits died very hard...and then still bit from the grave. "Don't let me stop things. I assure you I've no intent on remaining long if I can help it." Damian offered dryly, his green eyes making a brief scan of the compartment. So there was Unclassy, Klutz, Pretty-Boy, Sod, Little Girl and Comrade. Oh yes he had a pet name for all of them already, just as a couple probably had more than a couple handfuls of berations for him. It really was only fair of course, no? The only one of the group who didn't get a name was Jones, and that was only because her last name was more than enough to suffice. Vague, short and possibly most insultingly of all common. Oh yes he did so much want to puke, especially if this was to be his administrative company... He'd just have to mind his shoes... (All pet names are purely IC, you guys know you're awesome. )
