((That's too great!))
His fork slipped on the plate, scretching a horrid sound that made the whole restaurant. Alfonz looked up from his plate and finding no words to compensate for the question he had not expected, he had to clear his throat. His sister was probably the only touchy subject that Alfonz actually had. Well, that was before Shay had made her way into his life. He feared to think how he'd react about her if it was brought up in a situation, but he hoped that it would not get in the way as his sister tended to do. "Celina? I've recieved a few letters from her within the past month. The broom you rode is acutally one that I....well, I bought for her actually." He hesitated hoping that the new knowledge would not be anything but a considerate thought of a big brother.
He shurgged, what else was he supposed to say. Shay had made it perfectly clear that she was not to be brought up, even though, that was as hard for him to do. His mind, however, had been preoccupied with not being caught by anyone with any knowledge of who he in fact was. Watching out for his own well being at the moment was crucial, especially since he had hired two people to take care of Celina in the way that Shay had herself advised to do so. "She's having problems with some people she's met, but I'm sure that's common," and delt with, he found himself thinking unconsiously clentching his fork tightly. If those people even as so much as hurt her again, he would find a way into the castle himself and take care of the situation. He didn't know how, but he'd do it himself if the time came for it to be done.
It was times like these, he almost wondered why he had trusted children to do the job of a grown man. They were useless, and Alfonz knew that there was no way that they could accomplish the simple task he had requested of them. Simple minded children, one would think would be able to complete what he had told them to do, but then again, he highly doubted they understood the importance of the situation. He looked back at Shay and tried to smile genuinely. "To tell you the truth, I'm not one hundred percent sure." A hint of worry in his tone, he shrugged and took his fork that he held tightly and put another bite of his food into his mouth.

(-uncharacteristic squeal- I love the new av)
Underneath the table, she lightly tapped the top of his foot. It was pretty common to be a teenager and have problems with several people, but maybe Alfonz thought it to be worse than that. She gave him a concerned but hopeful half smile. "If she's as good of a person as you are, I think she'll come out all right," she answered him, trying to quell his thoughts with her perspectives of the truth. She took another bite of her curry and nodded. With another sip of her iced tea, she looked over at the people in the restaurant for the first time. All the time she had been focused on Alfonz and the servers, but not at the other customers. "I wonder how many of these people know..." she said idly, forgetting to finish off what exactly she meant. But whenever she was outside in the Muggle world, she tended to think about who could have been aware of there being two immense realms.

(( You like it? I thought it was looking for his famous smirk he's always giving. Do you think I found it? ))
Alfonz would never admit that he hoped Shay was right about Celina, but it wasn't as if he was going to allow for anything else to happen when it came to that. He'd find a way to show her the correct path she should be on if it was the last thing he did. As Celina's older brother, he had that job to do. "Yea, I'm sure she'll make the right choices," Alfonz said as he put another fork full in his mouth and also took a sip of his water.
As Shay looked around and commented on the muggles around them Alfonz just shrugged. He didn't care about them, anymore than he cared for the friends Celina was making. All of them were useless to him and frankly, if they dissappeared from his views he wouldn't miss them. "I doubt any here have any clue," he said silently and coolly. Why would she wonder such foolish things? He silently scoffed to himself searching for anything that could change the topic to something more contextual. That's when he heard his name from behind.
A couple were whispering from a table a bit further off. "Jedynak....Alfonz Jedynak. No, Edward, that couldn't really be him. Who's the girl?" He turned his head a bit at Shay and tried to remain calm. All he needed was for a scene to abrupt, and frankly his identity to be revealed to the whole restaurant. Damn quidditch fans, any ways.

(I think so ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) though this smirk seems to be one specific kind of smirk. the text under it works as well) Shay continued with another bite of her food, ready to just dismiss it as a passing thought when she happened to hear what he heard. Finishing it down with some iced tea, she showed her grin as she put down her glass. "I doubt they don't." What may have been embarassment for him was full on amusement for her. She had to cover her smile. Sometimes she tended to forget who this man was, often putting the image of Alfonz Jedynak, man she met at the book store before Alfonz Jedynak, qudditch star. "Fans?"

(( Yea, it was the only smirk though. Still looking as always, and I figured that the saying works because of this specific situation and the one with his sister ;D ))
Placing his fork down lightly and rubbing his eyes with his other hand, he groaned softly. "I hope not," course that hope was confirmed later when the man of the couple came over to the table that both Shay and Alfonz were trying to enjoy their dinner at.
"No...hunny! Don't go over there and disturb them...." the woman from the two called out, as the man's stride over to the table was not rushed but certainly not of a fan wanting an autograph. "How could you?!" The man exclaimed at Alfonz, not even caring who he was talking too or who's dinner he was interrupting.
Alfonz blankly stared up at the man, only glancing briefly at Shay. "And what, my dear sir, can you ever be talking about?"
The man looked around, obvious annoyance on his face. "You could have caused the Goblins the game! Don't you understand how to catch a damn quaffle?! My eleven year old daughter could have caught that last quaffle better than you could catch one thrown right in your face." The man grew more aggravated with every word and all Alfonz could do was swear under his breath about how he hadn't wanted to come out in the first place and how he didn't want Shay to see any of these irate, probably muggle born, losers.
"May I remind you sir," Alfonz tone was filled with disgust as he even looked at this man who stood beside him. "That the Goblins did not lose that game you speak of. And the following game that was lost, was done so with our dignity. Now, if you'll excuse me," Alfonz stood. His body stockier than the man who decided to challenge the quidditch player, and just about an inch taller. Alfonz's dark aura thickened, and as he stood more near to the man, he gestured to him to leave his table. "If you'll please be so kind as to keep yourself hidden in this world, I may decide to do the same." Alfonz threatened and as the man scoffed, and stomped away, Alfonz took his seat.
"No, not fans," he blankly stated as he continued to eat his food, and wished highly that he instead had a firewhiskey rather than the water he had to wash it down with.

There had to be something that she could have done, and she could have possibly done it. When someone spoke too blatantly and too rudely to a family or a friend, she was sure to step in to try to stop it or stop it. Instead, it all happened too fast, and before she was done staring at the two and the woman in the background, the man had gone away in a huff, and Alfonz was back down with her, his demeanor a bit more rigid than before.
She cracked open another samosa but didn't quite eat it yet. "Do you want to leave?" It seemed appropiate to ask, what with the man tending to give Alfonz more stares.
Merlin, she knew all about passionate game watchers; they were abundant in Mexico as well. They had a tendency to become split-second hecklers, but she couldn't believe his audacity to do it in front of a muggle crowd. With words like 'Goblins' and 'quaffle' thrown in the air, they were bound to have fixed faces of confusion. You might as well know, she found herself thinking. Sometimes sharing herself between realms proved to be a hard task.

Alfonz shook his head but said nothing. He was not as hot headed as the auror who attacked him had accused him of being, but it didn't mean he was not one to get angry. He needed a few minutes. That game was all his and he would have been able to stop that quaffle if his attention had not been diverted. It was what he had told Celina multiple times, you sever the connections of personal feelling between that of quidditch. When you are playing a game, nothing matters outside of it.
"The game he spoke of, was won. By my team. And I'm sorry for the man's foolishness." Alfonz wasn't sorry, more pissed at the fact that a scene was made. He didn't play the game for the fans like some did. He played it for the money in his pocket, and the joy of the sport. Those were the types of people still holding the expectations above his head.
He tried to smile, as he heard the woman from the other table lecturing her partner on how reckless he was, and shake it off. "It's nothing. Just a game," he whispered silently so that only Shay could hear him. It wasn't what he believed, but it was what he had to tell himself every time he met a fan of the sport. Just a game....and nothing more.

She would have wanted to beg to differ, but knew better than to thoughtlessly voice that. To some, there were multiple reason to deify the game, or reduce it to a few objects. It all mattered on what your experience was with them. And with her experiences (however brief it was), it was a chance to raise it to an art form or even put it through a science. It just had so many faces for her, especially when you could see it the faces that stood in the stands. She remembered them well-- she would try to bring on the cheer, and they would respond just as well or not.
She smiled at him, though. "He probably couldn't even remember his daughter's name," she said in just as low of a whisper, reeling it back to the party when she mentioned his status to him.

Alfonz gave a low chuckle at the memory that Shay brought up. What a party that was. It had told him then that there was something that the two had to accomplish more than he had thought he wanted. Or was it, more than he had wanted to admit to himself? Either way, that was a day where the tables had turned, and he had realized that the cards he held, were much more valuble to him than he thought.
"I doubt he even knows the woman's name he's with," he smirked back at her and laughed again. At least she knew how to lighten the mood. "So, what were we talking about before our intrusion? My mind was focused for a moment elsewhere from where I want it focused." Alfonz looked at Shay and rose an eyebrow.

"Do you think I remember?" Shay questioned in laughter. "I was pretty much caught up in what you guys were doing as well. I can only hope the rest didn't." And mostly the muggles. By then, she was wondering just how many wizarding folk were around.
Just then, the waiter came by with a nod at them both. "How are you two doing here?" If Alfonz was as fast of an eater as she was, then they were pretty close to the finish line. She had gotten most of the lamb from the curry gone and the rest was a nice mess of rice and curry. Plus, she finally got around to the samosa.
"I'm good unless you want some dessert," she mentioned to Alfonz. "Because that would require an ice cream parlour or something," she added with a wink.

Alfonz too, was almost finished. A few bites here and there and then he'd have a clean plate, and his water was already finished. After the encounter with the man, he had gulped it down a bit fast, praying for the sweet taste of alcohol that never came. "I'm fine," Alfonz said as he looked at the waiter. "But we'll have the bill now."
Looking back at Shay, he smiled. "Do you think you could handle ice cream if we stopped at a parlour?" Alfonz's words dripped with sarcasm as usual. "Because you know, I'm not sure I'll be able to refrain from letting someone wear it, if I find they need to cool off." He glanced at the man that still was as the other table bickering with whomever the girl was. Imbeciles Alfonz thought to himself as he scoffed quite loudly.

"At this point, I might even advocate it," she with a roll of the eyes at the man. He had made a big deal about Alfonz and she just wished he could finish his meal and be on his way. It wasn't any of his business anyhow.
The server came right away with the bill and two mints. "Perfect," she found herself saying and then laughed a little. Picking up the both of them, she tossed one at Alfonz. "Heads up, keeper," she said and opened up mint to pop into her mouth. No doubt she had a spicy breath.

Heads up and hands open, Alfonz caught the mint, almost glad it wasn't a quaffle at that moment. So, he wasn't the most loyal quidditch player in the world, but at least he was skilled and did the job to the best of his ability. It was something he'd only admit to himself, on the outside, he was who it made him: Alfonz Tytus Jedynak, Keeper for the Poland team, the Grodzisk Goblins.
"Let's go then, shall we?" He placed the money for the bill on the table, along with a rahter generous tip and gestured for Shay to lead the way, only briefly glaring at the man who had so rudely interrupted their dinner.

"Let's," she sort of repeated and got up to adjust herself before going out of the restaurant. Out in the cool autumn air, she sighed in the clean atmosphere. "I'm sure this nice air makes things better for you," she said as she gestured to walk one way. However, once they were out of the way from the windows of the Indian restuarant, she looked both ways and smiled devilishly at Alfonz.
By the wall of the next building over, she made sure to stop him there and go up to his tall stature to give him a kiss, even if she still had the mint in her mouth. "I'm sure that did, too," she said with a bit of a laugh. With and despite everything between them, he did make her feel some surges of confidence in herself. He had that roller coaster effect on her.

Walking out behind Shay he breathed in the cool air. Yes, autumn was one of his favorite seasons. The end of the quidditch season that led into winter which would be his time to relax and see Celina again. Yup, very nice indeed. "Yes, I find it to my liking." He agreed with her, unknowing of the plans that had just formed in her mind.
Away from the windows and the peering eyes of the couple and whomever else may have noticed who he was, Shay backed up against a wall and smiled a smile that Alfonz would not forget for a while. An eye brow had just enough time to raise before she was pulling him into a quick, but equally as powerful kiss as all of the others they had shared. Alfonz found himself with his arm above her head on the wall, and as she pulled away, he licked his lips a bit to taste the mint that she had still had dissolving in her mouth. Opening his eyes, the storms never ceasing to be storming, threatened playfully as he scoffed a little. "Yes, that too was to my liking," he assured her as he bent back in to take from her another.
Back and forth within his mind, he knew he should be looking around to find those who could be looking, staring, and using what he was now doing against him. He knew that there were many other reasons that his mind still worried, but his body took over and the animal instincts and carnal cravings were too much for the twenty one year old to withstand. Alfonz tried to fool himself multiple times into believing that he was much older than he actually was, when really, he was just a young man, whose body spoke louder than reason.
