As the game went on, Matty was quite surprised as she won. Seeing how sad TY was though, she patted him on the back, and in the game managed to slip him $50 to pay for something. Smirking however once it ended, the game had been really really fun. Nodding then as Shelly suggested that they were to play Charades, Deric then stated "So how do you guys play it? With buddies? Or just as one team and a person out the front?" Matty and her father usually played that there was a team of people, trying to guess what the person out the front was doing. However it was heard that other people played it in different ways.
Either way the night was still going on.
((Finally!))

“Well we usually split the teams up, and one person from each team gets up at a time and the other teams try and guess. Everyone on the team can yell out answers, but the score just goes to the entire team. Each team takes their turn and then the other team has to try and guess it with in the allotted time limit. The team who guesses the most right in the end wins.” Shelly said smiling, “But its up to everyone here which way we want to play it.” It didn’t really matter to her one way or the other. “We can play everyone against everyone else, two player teams and have three teams, or adults verse kids. We just need to make a decision.” She continued smiling around at the group. “I think that us three verse you three would be the most fun,” Jynx said smiling and indicating the three of them, Ty, Matty and himself, against the Deric, Shelly, and Don. “Sounds good to me,” Ty said smiling and looking around at the group. “I guess its settled then,” Don said clapping his hands together and beaming at his group. “So which team wants to go first? And who out of that group wants to get up and give the clues.” “While you guys decide that I will go and get the timer and make us some hot chocolate to drink while we play the game,” Shelly said getting up from her position and walking to the kitchen disappearing from site. Minutes later she returned with a tray full of nice hot coco for everyone. Once she handed the drinks out she set the tray on the table placing the timer on top of it. “Ok so what did we decide? Are the adults or kids going first?” ((Have Matty or Deric go first that way you can have more to RP ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .))

"Perfect." Matty said smiling to her father. That was pretty much the same as any way as playing Charades. Taking a sip of her hot chocolate, she then said "Hey dad, why don't you go up?" she said smirking at him. "Well alright then, i suppose it's better later then never." he said placing down his hot chocolate. As the teams then separated, the adult team discussed who was actually going to go out first. In the end, Deric just volunteered and out he went. As the adults sat aside, Deric thought for a second, before Matty timed him for 40 seconds.
As Deric out the thing to be an hobby he then tapped two of his fingers along his arm, symbolizing that there was 2 syllables to the word. Then finally pressing start, Matty watched as her father carefully got to the ground, and started making swimming like actions. "Umm... life saver?!" she said as he continued. Then shaking his head, she knew that it wasn't right. Looking to the other boys, Matty wondered what they were thinking. 32 seconds on the clock, they were doing alright. Taking another quick sip of her drink, Deric then slightly changes his swimming type to more of a scoop.
No one had yet realized it, but Derick was a surfer.

“Swimmer,” Jynx said just giving his best guess, but knowing it was no good when Deric shook his head. Shaking his head a bit in disappointment he racked his brain for another idea as the timee reached the 25 second mark.
“No that’s not it,” Ty said with a laugh. “I think that he is imitating a rather funny looking shark.” He wasn’t seriously guessing at this point, but it was all he could think about when he watched him so he thought he would throw his two cents in to liven things up.
“Your both wrong,” Don said smiling over in his sons direction laughing slightly, “Its surfing.” Don could tell that he had guessed it right when Deric stopped the charade saying yes as he walked over in his groups direction. The adults were now one up on the kids with the kids turn to go.
Taking a drink of her hot chocolate Shelly said, “So which one of you is up?”
“I guess I’ll go,” Jynx said smiling and getting to his feet. Drawing the card out it said, “Woodland creature.” Oh this was going to be good way to embarrass himself right off. For starters he tried to think of a woodland creature that he was most familiar with. All he could come up with was the image of a squirrel. He would kick himself later for not coming up with something a bit more manly like a bear, but for right now he decided on a squirrel. Turning to the group he didn’t bother telling them how many syllables were in it because in all reality he really wasn’t sure. He began by getting down on his hands and knees and scampering across the room.
“Monkey,” Ty yelled tears coming to his eyes from laughing so hard.
Jynx just glared back in his direction, Monkey, of course its not a monkey, he thought as he continued to scamper around the living room. Finally scampering over to the table with the nuts on it he took a couple and began storing them under the table as though he was storing them. Ty was beside himself. It was obvious that he wasn’t going to get another guess in because when Jynx started gathering the nuts he couldn’t help but roll with laughter.

"Squirrel!" Matty said with a rather urgent tone in her voice. She was determine to get art least one guess in between giggles. Hopefully that would've been the right answer, because even the adults were saying things like 'ape, flying fox' and other sorts of weird creatures. As she took a sip of her hot chocolate, Matty waited until Jynx or replied to her, or not. The charades game was plain nutty though it was one of the best games Deric and herself knew of. Always had a fun and exiting affect.
Looking around she watched as the other still continued to laugh at the nut-collecting-Jynx.

“Correct,” Jynx said beaming in Matty’s direction. He was just glad that someone had guessed it after all because he didn’t want to have to keep that up until the time had worn out, even though that was only like 10 seconds more. Walking over to where his group was located he gave Ty, who was still rolling with laughter, a nice smack upside the head.
“Ouch!” Ty said through his continued laughter. “I can’t help it if you make an extremely convincing squirrel.” Still laughing he could barely contain himself to watch as his dad made his way to the front of the circle.
It was Don’s turn to go, so he made his way up to the front of the circle and drew what he would be roleplaying. The score was now tied at one to one, and Don wasn’t about to let it stay that way. Deciding what he was going to do he sat down the card and indicating how many syllables it had. Then he immediately dove into his roleplaying, imitating a good old fashion pirate sword fight. When Ty had guessed the right answer, a pirate, Don reluctantly went back to where he was sitting. The kids were now one up on the adults so if the adults wanted any chance of winning they would have to guess the next couple right. After Don went it was Ty’s and Shelly’s turn. Ty imitating a rodeo rider, while Shelly did a nice imitation of a dinosaur. Both of there performances were quite entertaining. When Ty had got up there Jynx was nearly as worthless at guessing as Ty had been because he couldn’t keep himself from laughing long enough to get his guess out, so it was no surprise when the adults took that point from them. However, the kids took back the lead by Jynx’s smart-alec remark that actually proved to be what his mother was imitating.
Now it was Matty’s turn to go. She would be the one who determined whether or not the kids tied with the adults or if they won. Everyone sat there in anticipation waiting to see what Matty was going to come up with.
“Alright kids one more then I think it is time to get to bed.” Shelly said looking at the clock over her shoulder and being taken aback by how late it had gotten. The time had just flown by while they were all having such a good time guessing what each other was acting out.

As the others rounded up things, Matty decided that is was in fact, her turn. Grinning and standing up in front of the whole group, she drew a card, before looking at what it was. Bursting out into a fit of laughter, she steadily put it back down before holding in her stomach. Taking a few steps back, Matty pretended to lash out something from her pocket, before mouthing a spell and twiddling her wand around slowly. Yes, the perfect card for her... Matty was indeed a witch. Who would have thought that one of the non-magical people in the two families might have drawn this amazing card. The effect was priceless.
However returning her minded back to the game, as her father called out "Angry boss!" she giggled again before grabbing a mop in the corner. Hitching it to just above her knees, Matty pretended to kick off, then she held out on oh her arms, in the flying superman position. The game Charades was alway fun, and it seemed that both teams were tyeing, so whoever guess Matty's charade first, would win the game. Unless in the case of two people calling out 'witch' at the same time, therefor making it a overall tie, their game was to end soon. And just in time, because everyone had run out of hot chocolate, and they were also running out of time until it was Christmas.
So looking to Jynx quickly, she hoped that someone would get it. After all being an angry boss and riding a mop, was always going to get those laughing. But what the hey, wasn't that the purpose of the game?

They all watched as Matty got up to do her charade. This was a crucial round to win, because it would decide which team came out as the victor.
Smiling Jynx watched on as Matty pulled out her wand. He thought he knew exactly what she was acting out and couldn’t help but laugh when Deric said she was an angry boss. The rest of the Caffee family also got a laugh out of the guess to. “You know Deric, now that you say that I think she does resemble my boss when she is angry.” Don said laughing. They were all having a great time.
“I got it,” Jynx said smiling after a couple of seconds thought, “You’re a witch.”
Ty just looked at Jynx in surprise, trying to hold in his laughter, and said in a mock serious tone, “Now is that anyway to talk to your girlfriend. I would have never expected that of you. I can’t believe you just called her a witch.” Of course Ty was only kidding and just wanted to give Jynx a bad time. He knew that Witch was the term used for a female magical person, but still thought it was funny considering that it had a different connotation in the muggle world.
Jynx just laughed. He knew his brother to well to get all upset by his little joke. “Shut it Ty,” Jynx said with a laugh. “Your just being thick because you know that’s not what I meant.”
If Jynx had indeed guessed it right then the kids would win the game, all that they needed was for Matty to confirm that she was indeed acting out being a witch. Once she had indeed confirmed that Jynx had guessed it right Shelly got to her feet smiling and said, “I think that we should all call it a night so that we can get up and open presents early tomorrow morning. Nice game everyone.”
