Once again Ryan felt like he had been thrown into something completely foreign to him, which he had. He had forgotten that him and Brax were so different in background because he had been getting along great with Brax and nothing had some up until now to remind him that he was so ignorant when it came to the wizarding world. You would have thought that he would have remembered this when he had gone to get on his broom for the first time but it hadn't even crossed his mind. To him learning to ride his broom was just like learning a new muggle sport and it hadn't even occured to him that muggles normally didn't ride brooms, if ever.
"Are healers sort of like doctors?" he asked not even connecting that Brax wouldn't really know what a doctor was. After all his dad was a doctor and he just thought that everyone would be familiar with them. He was also wondering if St. Mungo's was a hospital or something else but thought that he would ask one question at a time.

"Depends on what doctors are or casts for that matter," Brax said with a puzzled look. He was interested to know what exactly those were, and wondered if Ryan would be able to tell him. But in the mean time he could tell him, to the best of his ability, what a healer was. "Healers are the people in St. Mungo's that heal people of whatever they come in with." He couldn't think of a better explanation then that, but he was sure there was one out there that would make more sense to Ry. He just didn't know what that was. Just as he finished the sentenced he chucked the ball up straight up into the air and caught it.

"Oh so they are like doctors." Ryan said with a smile, "A doctor is a person who, normally works at a hospital but not always and helps people that have been injured though a variety of different ways." He had forgot that his words or knowledge about the muggle world would be just as foreign to Brax as the wizarding ones were to him so he decided to explain what a cast was. "A cast is a type of support device that the doctors use to heal broken bones. It is a plaster type thing that holds the bones in place." he said indicating with his hands where one would be if he had had a broken arm. "It's kind of like a super stiff glove that won't let you move much in it." he continued.

"Doctors seem like the same as the healers we have," Brax said with a smile, "Only maybe they use different methods and things, because I think they cure bones with a spell at St. Mungo's." It was interesting to hear about the muggle differences between things. He thought that cast seemed like an interesting way to take care of a bone break, but if you thought about it logically it really made sense, not that Braxton was thinking logically.

"Ya they do." Ryan said with a smile. He was very familiar with what doctors did, since his dad was one and a specialized one at that. He couldn't wait to tell his dad what Brax had told him about what healers do and how they are similiar to doctors.
"I'm not really sure what types of things would be different, but I'm pretty sure that my dad doesn't know any spells for fixing things." he said with a laugh invisoning what his dad would say if he suggested that he sould try and fix up an injure with just a spell.

"Probably not," Brax said with a shrug. He was pretty sure that Muggles didn't know how to do spells and things like that so it was only fitting for Jason not to practice that kind of medicine.
After a couple of minutes handing in the air he wondered if Ryan wanted to try any more quidditch things. "Should we shoot on each other or something. Like you could shoot on me, or I could try and score on you and then we switch so that we each get a turn?" he asked flipping the ball in between his hands. He thought that Ryan might like this considering he did want to try out all of the positions on the field.

"Sure." Ryan said with a smile, "I'll play keep first for you to shoot on." He was a pretty good goalie in soccer and thought that it had to be similar to that and if it wasn't he was pretty sure that he would still be semi good. Well hopefully he wouldn't suck too bad, but then again it was just practice and that is what they were practicing for. They were practicing to get better, right? Not to see which one was better at doing what. Jeez he didn't even have to think about who would win that one. Of course Brax would beat him in anything if they turned it into a compitition, but they weren't. Hopefully.

"Okay!" Braxton said with a smile, "We just need to figure out what we can use as a goal." Looking around he tried to see if there was anything high enough for them to shoot at. When his dad had played with him he had always magiced a hoop to fly at the desired distance from the ground, but since he wasn't out here they would just have to use something else. But what else? was the question. Not finding anything that would be acceptable in his opinion he decided that he could just go in and get his dad to come out and put one up for them. Who knows maybe even the adults would like to come out and watch them for awhile, or even play a quick game. "Maybe we should just go and see if my dad will put one up for us. That's what he usually does whenever we play a quick game." Brax said with a smile.

"He can make things appear out of thin air?" Ryan asked in amazment, "That is so cool." He had seen Brax's dad do a couple of things with magic but never congure something out to the air without anything to transfigure or alter. "Ya we should see if he would make us one." he agreed after he came out of his slightly amazed trance. He hoped that when they finally went to Hogwarts that they would learn that cool of stuff.

"Okay lets land and go ask him then." Brax said with a smile before he dove towards the ground and landed. Hoping off his broom he carried it with him, after all there was no way he was going to leave it outside and risk someone stealing it. Although he lived in an area where there really wasn't anyone around that close to want to take it, but still he was being cautious. He had never had anything like it before.

Ryan nodded to Brax indicating that he was right behind him and would follow him to the ground. Once Brax went into a drive Ryan followed him, deciding to give the diving thing a shot and not just gradually make his way down to the ground. Speeding towards the ground he tried to pull up in time not to hit the ground but misjudged it a bit and instead hit the ground at an unexpected rate of speed. Flipping over the front of his broom he landed on his back about five feet from where his broom stopped itself. Groaning slightly he laid still for a second trying to decide if anything was broken and then pushed himself up on his feet again, laughing slightly about the whole thing.

Braxton heard the thunk and quickly spun around to see what had happened, only to find Ryan laying flat on his back. Setting his broom down he rushed over to see if he was okay. "You alright Ryan?" he asked with a hint of concern in his voice.
The noise of the not to graceful landing made Braxton's dad come out to see what was going on. His wife would have came out but she was busy getting dinner started so she deligated it to him. She didn't really think it was anything serious, after all there were always small thunks here and there, but still thought it was better to be safe then sorry. They had been sitting at the kitchen bar chatting about stuff when they heard the small thud.

"Ya I'm alright." Ryan said sitting back on the ground for a minute to catch his breath. The only thing that the impact with the ground had done was to knock the wind out of him, besides that he would be fine. He just needed a second or so to recover his breath and he would be good to go. He was a little embarrassed when the adults appeared on the scene. He was pretty sure that his dad might over react and embarrass him, after all he had done it plenty of times before. Ryan just hoped that he realized he was fine and didn't cause that big of a scene.
Jason, following Brax's dad out of the house, looked around to see what could have caused the noise to find his son laying on the ground. Walking over there he caught the hint of laughter in his voice as he tried to assure Braxton that he was fine and bent down to make sure. "Ry, what happened?" he asked bending down to him.

"Hey dad! Since your here will you make us a goal to shoot on. We were going to practice keeping," Brax said with a smile looking up at his dad. He knew that Ryan would be fine, after all he hadn't fallen from that high and he said he was. So he had to be right? Besides he didn't want him to feel to embarrassed so he would just let it go.
"Sure Brax, right after we make sure that Ryan is alright." Brax's dad said with a smile over in his sons direction.

"Nothing." Ryan said trying to push his dad away from him. "I just slipped off of my broom is all." He wasn't about to tell him that he had tried to dive and came crashing into the ground. No, this was a better excuse. That he had just fell off of his broom from a few feet into the air. This way his dad couldn't lecture him on doing stupid things or things that he isn't ready to do yet. That got so annoying to Ryan, even if he knew that his dad always had the best intentions.
"Uhh....." Jason said throughly unconvinced. He didn't know why Ryan insisted on not telling him the whole story but the boy wasn't that hard to read and he could tell that something else had happened. So turning to Braxton he asked, "Brax, what really happened?"
