No, it wouldn't be as cool as stealing Raynor's hat or TPing the Great Hall, but it was still an act of daring that could still somewhat prove the kid's worth and, best of all, wouldn't get Drew in trouble.
"A frog? Really? Alive?" Drew asked, impressed but still a little doubtful. A frog was pretty big and would put up a fight before being swallowed. He looked over his shoulder as he hit the main road, just to make sure the kid was still behind him. If frogs were passe, he'd have to think of something more challenging before giving up his secrets.

"Er... well, it was still partly a tadpole, like it had a tail still. But it was really big and already had legs and what not... just still a tail." It pained her slightly to admit that it had not been a large healthy hopping bullfrog she had managed to down but a frog that was barely even a frog and arguably not at all.
She was nervous about being in the main area of the village but this was quickly over ridden by excitement and a calm that can only come when one is in a crowd and knows that she can easily slip away and disappear. There were so many things and people to see and she knew without doubt that she would return here many times to explore before she reached her third year and was technically supposed to go. And it would all be so much easier if she knew more than one way out the castle.

"Woah... Really?" Drew asked, again, obviously impressed by the little kid. Anything with legs was a real frog in his book and definitely way more difficult to swallow than a mere tadpole.
"Okay, I may have to step this challenge up a bit then," he said, trying to think of something appropriate on all levels of the situation. After all, it needed to be a dare worth the information, but at the same time, fairly safe and free from any impropriety on his part.
"Dung bombs... Acid pops... Blood Lollies?" he eyed the kid carefully trying to measure up which task would be appropriate. "Perhaps a combonation?"
Dang, he was going to be busted for this. He was sure of it...

G was on the verge of confessing that ok, it really had been much more tadpole than frog and she just exaggerated things when he suggested Acid Pops. But she held her tongue, acid pops or blood lollies certainly could not be as bad as having something alive squirming in your stomach as your body slowly killed it. But she would not eat dung bombs, she knew that the second he said it. If that was what he insisted on she would simply find an older student up at the school to tell her ways out.
“Acid pops?” She inquired, “What are Acid pops?” She could easily enough guess what Blood Lollies were but acid pops could mean several different things and one that she hoped it didn’t.

Drew had definitely decided on a combination of things to test the kid's worthiness, but the question was now what? Moving, spicy, and something gross and possibly a bit dangerous. Yes, he thought he had the perfect concoction, especially when he was asked the question.
"Ohhh! You've never had an Acid pop? Totally wicked," he told his small shadow. "They burn a hole in your tongue. Now THAT is pretty cool to witness." He grinned over at the kid, knowing he was faililng to mention it wasn't really permenant damage.

Ga guessed that it would not be permanently damaging, however. If they were readily available to buy then they would need to be non-lethal and able to be consumed without permanent scaring, and besides she didn't think this boy would make her do anything to permanently disfigure herself. Worse case was after an acid pop would be to go up to the Hospital Wing and have the nurse fix her up. The challenge in eating one of those, it sounded like, was dealing with the pain that it would inevitably be associated with it. She was not a wimp, though, and she thought that up to a certain point, she would be able to handle pain. Of course, the name ACID pop, made it sound like it might hurt more than she was readily available to deal with it.
"No," She chuckled. "And I don't see why I would have had one." She made a face, it really didn't sound that appealing. “And the blood lollies?” She asked. “Are they flavored with or made from blood?” He expression showed this option was possibly less appealing than the acid pop.

Not knowing about Acid pops hinted that the kid was Muggle-born and only made Drew more sure about getting her to a more public place. Even if Honeydukes and Zonkos were relatively quite without a town ful of students to contend with, they were still better than the back alleys.
"You know, I'm not really sure," he answered her question, opening the door to the sweetshop so the kid could go in first. "I've never actually had one. They just sounded to gross to even contemplate. I usually go for the Chocolate Frogs or the Every flavour Beans, myself."
Once entering, he grabbed a couple of the candies he had mentioned, knowing whatever wasn't eaten then could be saved for later. He turned to the kid to see if she wanted to try anything in perticular.

“Ooh, I had some of those on the train!” She told him. “The Frogs were fun but the Every Flavor Beans were a bit too unpredictable for me.”
She stepped past him into the shop and grinned. It was just about the best sweet shop she had ever set foot in. "Brother Jacob would go mad if he saw me in here!" She exclaimed as she looked around in wonder. And it was true, he would be extremely jealous, he had always had more of a sweet tooth than she had. In fact she was sure any one of her brothers would give up an entire years allowance for half an hour in the shop.
She stood and looked around at all the options for a good thirty seconds before a thought struck her that really took away from the experience. She did not have her money bag with her, it was up in her trunk at the school. And even if she had had it she realized she probably would not have been able to buy much with the few sickles that she did have.
But she quickly shook it off, now she knew this was here and by the end of the day would hopefully know several more ways to sneak out, she could come back later. She turned around and grinned at him. “Well, where are those…er, blood lollies, was it?”

Drew grabbed a bag of Every Flavour Beans and dropped it into the basket as well.
"Brother Jacob?" he asked, wondering if that was her real brother, or a religious title. A real brother might be pretty jealous to see all the sweets, but any sort of brother night not appreciate Drew treating the kid to a bunch of junk.
He pointed out the blood pops in their display, not sure if he really wanted to subject Phil to those particular candies. How could he when he wasn't all that willilng to try them? Then again, it was probably high time and he had nver been one to back down from a challenge. He grabbed a couple of them and added them to his stash.
