Drew wasn't trying to brush anyone off. He just didn't want to get involved in the trunk and he didn't want to get into a Felicity conversation.
"She's doing fine," Drew answered, again thinking that if the details were Jax's business, then Felicity would tell her herself. The bigger question was why Jax seemed insistent on getting in the middle of the whole Celina-Felicity issue as if that were really any of her business either. As if the girls needed more gossip circulating about them.

Since everyone seemed to be taking their time responding to Arianna's question (or maybe they simply hadn't heard her), she reached back into the trunk to see what else she might find. There was lots of interesting stuff. Most of which she hadn't seen in years. Some of which she only ever saw when she visited the Thorntons (oh, yeah, that was Drew's last name!) One, in particular, Arianna wasn't so sure of. It was a tube with one end shut off by a bit of metal. The tube itself looked to be made of cardboard and had weird symbols on it which Arianna couldn't make out.
"This must be your hat," she claimed, handing it over to Hannah with a grin. "You're the only one small enough to fit it."

"I dunno....it's not what Felicity told me in class. I was just hoping that by now it was a bit better for her." Jax was glad to hear that Drew knew she was doing better than she had been and Jax gave a small smile. Jax considered both of the older girls friends before the Deva invasion, and figured that that gave her the right to inquire about them. Or at least Felicity; Celina was another matter all together. In the younger girl's mind Celina had done much more than just what she had to the older Gryffindor, rather, she had also infringed upon the chances she had with Snake, whom also was in Gryffindor.
Just that information alone ticked her off. To think that because of one stupid Ravenclaw girl, the rest of them would have to suffer and be thought of as untrustworthy to the rest of the school. And though Jax had no real proof that any of the school thought that way about them, it made perfect sense to the thirteen year old. Why else would she have not found Snake anywhere lately? It made perfect sense to Jax, and for that, not only had Celina lost the affection of the younger girl, but she also lost any hope to recovery it as well. It was already hard enough to hide her secret from everyone, and now, she didn't even have anyone who shared in it who would speak with her.
Jax's smile faded a bit as she looked over to where Arianna sat, playing with the first year. With everything that had happened, Jax wish that she too had lost some of her memory. Maybe in her case, it would have been amnesia of who she was, that way she could create someone new; someone without a secret that she had to hide every time she hung out and acted like one of the guys, and liked another girl.
"I think I'm gonna go and hang out with Ari," she said softly to Drew as she got off of the arm of his chair and started to walk away from him. She flashed him a smile to make sure that he knew she wasn't mad or anything at him, she was just bored and all of the talk about Felicity had brought up pangs of doubt and wonderment. Jax knew she had brought it up, but at the same time, she didn't want to admit to it or to any defeat that came with it.
"I dunno, the hat seems even a bit small for her," Jax said smiling a bit more brightly as she stood over the two girls with her hands in her pockets. Forget about it... Jax said silently to herself.

Drew still didn't think it was his place to give out the details to how Felicity was or wasn't doing. Especially as the boyfriend, he felt it was his duty to respect her privacy. If Felicity wanted to give out more than a "Fine" to people, then she would... not him.
He usually liked talking to Jax, but with her recent obsession with the Celina/Felicity situation, she had become a downer to talk. Drew wasn't too disappointed when she decided to move on. "Enjoy," he told her, turning back to his notes but keeping an ear open on the group by the trunk. Any buzz of trouble and he'd put a stop to it.

"Well, maybe it's yours, then," Arianna teased, sticking her tongue out at Jackie as she offered the tube to the third year. Before, she would have been afraid to talk to Jackie like that, thinking she might somehow upset the girl even if Jackie didn't outwardly look offended by her words. Now, however, ever since their little talk on the front steps, Arianna felt a little closer to her. She wouldn't tease her in the same manner she and Krissy teased, but a little bit here and there wouldn't hurt.
"I think...I found someone's shoe in here, too..." Arianna reached into the trunk once more and produced a large foam ear that was about as big as those fingers people waved about at football games. She waved it toward Drew, though she was certain he wouldn't play. Arianna felt a bit bummed about that, but if he wanted to be a party-pooper, there wasn't anything she could do.

Drew actually did glance up at the mention of a shoe, knowing that his were quite distinctive simply by their size. He smirked when he saw what she was holding up, but made no move to join the group.
"I was actually looking for that," he teased back before returning to his notes. If nothing else, it was good to know that Arianna remembered his shoes even if she didn't remember his name.

"Aww, but that's my fishing hat" Hannah pouted when Arianna took her fishing hat off her head and handed it over to the older girl who she couldn't remember the name off. "And that was my fishing rod" Not that Hannah had ever been fishing before, but she remembered lugging a few items for fishing at Hogwarts for some reason or another. Plus, the big shoe/fishing rod was big enough for her to sit in while she went fishing in the lake, that was, if she ever decided to go fishing in the lake.
Hannah had to let out a few giggles when Arianna called Hiro, Hero. The first year still thought he was some kind of hero, kind of like Superman in disguise. Spotting a white and blue sheet in the trunk, Hannah pulled it out and held it up for everyone to see. "I think I found a Hero's cape" Hannah announced, tying the red and white sheet around her neck, hero style. Next, the young girl was off and flying around the two girls. "Look! it actually works! I'm flying!" Sure, Hannah could fly around in the sky when she was playing quidditch, but she had to be on a broom to do that. This way was much better, she was free styling around the room that had now became her own blue sky.

Arianna's nose scrunched up. Yes, they were playing around, but how did the giant ear come to be anyone's fishing rod? It was silly and utterly preposterous. Yet, at the same time, Arianna could feel her artistic wheels turning. Other things might be all topsy-turvy in her head, but artistically she as good as she ever was. In fact, it was the little art project she had made for Valentines Day that seemed to have kicked her out of the stupor she had been in since her run in with the Deva. It hadn't been up to par with her usual stuff, but she gradually got better and was very nearly back to her top form in the drawing and painting department. Her imagination still worked, though, and she was imagining her drawing already: silly little Hannah with her tiny hat and an ear-shaped fishing poll. The thought made Arianna laugh out loud.

By the time Hannah heard that laugh, Hannah had made her way flying around the common room, which had turned into Hannah's blue sky, back to where she had started from and that was next to Arianna. Having had enough of playing super hero for the time being, Hannah took off the hero cape and handed it to Arianna. "Here, I think you deserve to be a super hero" Hannah told the older girl, handing the sheet over to her.
And yes, they were playing around, but at the same time anyone was welcome to her ear-shaped fishing rod and small fishing hat. It wasn't exactly hers anyways, seeing as how it came out of a trunk of stuff. It was just that the foam ear/ ear shaped fishing rod just went so well with her tiny little fishing hat.

"Thank you....Hannah" Arianna accepted the cape and tied it around her shoulders. Just putting it on made her wonder if it did have some sort of powers. She felt better in the few seconds she'd had it on. Arianna hardly noticed she'd just remembered the girl's name, if only for a moment. It was just as soon out of her mind as it had been in it, so to Arianna it was as though it hadn't happened.
"What else is in here...?" she asked, pulling more goodies from the box. "Ah, ha! It's....it's a Super Bad Guy Shrinkerizing and...and Switchermarizing Gun!"
Well, okay, it was just an old camera....
"You know what this does?" she questioned, pulling herself up onto her feet. Arianna turned to Drew and pointed the bulb of the old camera in his direction. "It shrinks super bad guys' badness and then makes their good side bigger." Kinda like the Grinch's heart growing toward the end of his namesake book and movie.

Drew looked up again and noticed Arianna pointing her "Bad Guy Shrinkerizer" at him. Figures. He had already decided that getting on the good side of the Ravengirls was pretty much hopeless. They all hated him so why wouldn't he be the target of the Bad Guy Shrinkerizing gun?
He once again turned back to his notes, now more than ever wanting to stay clear of the game.

Since no one seemed to want to tell him what the muggle device was really for Hiro decided to move on. Reaching into the trunk again he pulled out a weird 'Y' shaped stick with an odd stretchy thing connecting the two top points of the 'Y' stick. The thing was an oddity, you could pull the band thing back but it would shoot back to the flimsy band again. What could this possibly be used for? It was far too simple to need that energy that muggles use.
If anyone could answer his question his fellow prefect would know what it was. It wasn't like Hiro to interrupt studies but no one would answer his curiosities. Walking over to the other boy with the item Hiro tried to get some straight answers.
"What is this thing?" He asked bluntly. "It's too simple for those small muggle energy packs."

Drew wasn't getting Shrinkerized because he was a bad guy. It was because he was being a stinker and didn't want to play (seriously, he studied way too much. Even for a Ravenclaw). Arianna remembered him used to wanting to play and always joining in. Now she was certain he didn't want to join because of her. No one else seemed to mind her smell, though. But maybe they'd just gotten used to it. Of course, if Drew would just join in, he would get used to it, too. Eventually.
"I think it's supposed to send messages," Arianna called over to Hiro even though his question hadn't been directed at her. "If you don't mind, I'd like to borrow it. I want Drew to come play with us."

"It's a sling-shot," Drew answered Hiro, looking at what the other prefect had in his hand. Drew was honestly surprised Hiro had never encountered one before. They'd have to try it out later... or better yet, make a more powerful one. Off the towers... that would be perfect.
"You'll want to save that and put it with our stuff," he told the other boy, ignoring Arianna.

"Okay." Hiro replied sticking the thing in his back pocket. That didn't really seem to answer his question but there was a hint of the old Drew that escaped his voice. What good could this thing do? It was obvious that Drew must have seen value in it and it was important enough to bring to Hogwarts. Muggles were just weird. Just then Ari got into the conversation, saying it sent messages. If that was the case Hiro had to try it.
"Hannah you should try and find another oddity in there." Hiro said quietly into the band and then shot it in her general direction. He couldn't hear anything but maybe it was only delivered to the person it was meant for.
