Running in bare feet was an odd concept to Felicity, being a shoe-wearer, though she wondered how different it felt to run without them. Maybe it felt freer, more adventurist, but she wasn't willing to try at that moment. Hogwarts wasn't safe for trekking in bare feet and she wasn't about to go on a lovely run only to end up in the Hospital Wing because she stepped on something that hurt her, it would be her luck.
Following the boy out of the common room, she waited only a moment for him and his comment. "The only way you could be beat me," she started giving one last stretch to her calves, "is if you can even catch up." And with that, she started down the stairs, feeling a no mercy running match ready to take place.

Jake smirked at her comment, taking the challenge and ready to beat her. She started off down the stairs before he had a chance to move but Jacob was right beside her a moment later. He shoved her playfully with his shoulder, not hard enough to knock her off balance but enough to show he was game. He sped up a little, creating a bit of a distance between them. Jake turned, walking backward to he could face her as they made their way out to the grounds.
"So where's the finish line?" he asked her curiously, "You know, just so I can make sure there's enough room there for my victory dance. it's quite elaborate, I'm sure you'll enjoy it."
