Splashing the water between her toes, Tianne smiled up at the sun. It was right above her head now, it was evidently the middle of the day. It seemed like she had been sitting out in the sun forever waiting for Jeremy to show his face, but nevertheless, she wasn't getting any more anxious or even angry at the boy, he'd get there in his own time. Tianne was just happy to have her best friend at Hogwarts with her, there wasn't anything more in the world that she could ask for, well, other than Tanya also attending the school. Compared to the weather that they had been having at hogwarts, this day was quite fine. There was a slight breeze being pushed forward by the trees in the forbidden forest, but the power of the sun was overpowering, as Tianne felt the skin on her back which was easily tanned burning ever so slightly. She wouldn't feel the consequences, she never did, but the sensation of the sun on her back was something that would stick with her. Pulling on the cord that tied around her neck slightly, Tianne smiled, shading her eyes from the sun with her forearm. She was wearing that of a crochet white bandeau bikini, with a pair of loose fitting 'beach pants' as her mother called them. She wasn't dressing up for Jeremy, or at least it wasn't a conscious decision to look good when she saw him, but Tianne just liked looking nice all the time. Besides, the white accentuated her olive skin tone, and everyone knew that girls liked to show off their good bits. Lifting her toes up out of the water, and placing them on the rock next to her, Tianne's fingers played at the twined straw that was the picnic basket. She was happy in the sun, but company would have made it better. Tianne just wasn't sure when 'company' was going to show. JEREMY!!!!

sorry," he managed in a breath, before letting go and collapsing behind her. "My watch is out to ruin my life." he mumbled, covering one of his muscle arms over his eyes and letting out a deep sigh.[/ul]

Lying back on the rock behind her, Tianne sighed. She was tempted to leave, Jeremy was never late, and if he was, that meant that there was something wrong. As she watched the people play football in front of her, her mind drifted off back into day dream island. The boys in front of her had the incredibly good looks that could do that to a girl, and unfortunately, Tianne had fallen under their spell. She was like any teenage girl, just because she had a brain didn't stop her from enjoying the views that came with a football match. She was tempted to join in, but her brain had already gone off in the other direction.
Remembering back to when they were just children, Tianne found herself smiling. Up until the age of 12, Tianne had had the biggest crush on Jeremy's older brother. Let's face it, he was a good looking kid. The tanned skin, the athletic physique, and the smile, Tianne had been right to fall under the illusion that he liked her back. But unfortunately he didn't. It didn't bother her as much as you'd think that it would, but nevertheless, she liked him. Tianne was always friends with him more so than Jeremy, like all girls, she thought she was more mature than he was.
When Toby went off to Durmstrang, well, that's when Tianne became good friends with Jeremy. Their parents were best mates, it was pretty hard for them not to be close. And ever since then, the pair had been inseparable, that was, during the summer, as they were separated throughout the whole year until those few months.
Feeling the ball roll and hit her foot, Tianne was brought back down to earth. "Yeah! Tianne!" The blonde boy called out, waving for the girl to pass him back his football. Giving it a light tap with her foot, Tianne smiled, before something surprised her yet again. " 'Bout time! How long did it take you?" She said, her fingers playing with her belly-button, or more so, the bar that found itself in the direct sunlight. "Wanna go for a swim, buddy?"

dreams. He just knew thats the way things were. He was the shoulder to cry on, the gossip buddy, the best friend, the brother, not the boyfriend. Geez, anyone would think he was gay. Not that Jez was at all against gays, it was just hard to swallow that after all these years of crushing on the one girl, he wasn't even game enough to tell her. "Wanna go for a swim, buddy?"Buddy. That word was killing him lately. But he knew thats all they were, and he was greatful for that at least. And thought Jez would never, ever let it stray from his mind, and his mind alone - those footy boys didn't get to hang out with her this afternoon, did they? Merlin, no one ever let Jeremy Adams turn evil, right? But all the same, he sat up and nodded, kicking off his thongs and sunnies, whilst pulling his singlet over his head to revile an extremely tan torso of the fit kind. The boy smiled at Tee, before running into the water and diving in head first, in order to try and wash away any previous sinister thoughts about those boys and where he could shove that footy of theirs.[/ul]

Smiling as the blonde winked at her, Tianne couldn't help but blush a little. She knew that it meant nothing, but it was nice to know that he actually knew her name. She was a fairly prominent part of life at Hogwarts, being a prefect and all, but it still surprised her when people were that nice to her. All she had done was pass the ball back to them, but Tianne figured that guys like that did it to everyone. Still, it made her heart skip a beat or two. Looking back at Jeremy, her cheeks still pink from the blush, Tianne watched as he took off his shirt and ran into the water.
Standing up, Tianne pulled her legs out from the comfort and warmth of her beach pants. Okay, so the sun was enough to keep her warm, but more so the fact that she wasn't comfortable wearing what little she was in front of those boys. She hated herself for thinking it, but she just couldn't stop herself. Taking a couple of steps into the water, Tianne crossed her arms in front of her. "It's cold!" She said with a smile, her hair blowing slightly in the wind. Taking another couple of steps until the water was lapping up against her waist, Tianne pulled her hair up into a bun on the top of her head. "Way, way too cold!" She giggled once again, her brown eyes wandering around the lake, passing by the boys and their football.

Scrunching her nose up as she giggled, Tianne splashed some water up onto her stomach. She didn't want Jeremy to know that she was nervous in front of those other guys, she knew that would just make it awkward for him. Okay, so she was pretty oblivious to most things, but that was something that she knew not to do. It was never good to talk about guys, or let other guys know how you felt about someone else. Although Jeremy was her best friend, she didn't want him to have to put up with the torture that it would entail.
As the boy picked Tianne up, Tianne cursed herself for not being taller, bigger and more aggressive. She probably could have stopped him from doing it, had she been those three things, but she wasn't. Kicking her legs in protest, her toes picking up water and throwing it above the pair, Tianne giggled. "Put me down, Jem!" She smiled, as the cold water soaked her.
"I hate you!" She joked, looking into the boys blue eyes. Smiling as she tilted her head back, her hair getting wet, Tianne loosened herself from the boy's grip, and let herself float on top of the water.

Jem. Jez. Jer. Remmy. Ado. The list of his nicknames seemed to always go on, though Jeremy didn't mind it too much. At least he wasn't being called something stupid like Wombat or Sweetie. Growing up with an older brother, the teenager had always been subject to a series of silly pet names that were the result of something that Jez had done. That, or his older brother simply loved to relay the sorts of nicknames his parents used for him to Jeremy's friends, like hunny bun or big champ. Now that was horrible. Coming from Tee though, Jem wasn't one of his worst. Generally he was only called by Jeremy, Jer, or Jez. Jem and Remmy were very rare to come from anyone else but her. Anyway, watching her giggle before him, the boy was glad she wasn't acting so coy any more. He wasn't fond of other people effecting their time together. But then again, Jeremy was never really a confident person when it came to standing up to others, so he wouldn't have passed a comment about it anyway. As she escaped from his grip, Jez took this moments to duck under the water again, coming back up to tred water near Tianne. "Come on, you know you love me. And if you don't, then you won't be getting any of the food that si stashed away in my backpack." he bargained with a grin, letting his head bob above and below the water level.[/ul]

Nicknames weren't something that Tianne treated lightly. Only her best friends recieved a pet name from her, although she tended to make up a lot for them. Just random ones, like Jeremiah, Germ, Jesus, things that meant absolutely nothing to anyone but her. She was the kind of person that loved her best friends more than anything, and Tianne's affection just took the form of a funny name that she'd refer to them as. Of course, with names that you couldn't do much with it was always harder, but Tianne was happy to mutate the name in order to find something worthy of her lips.
Smiling as she lightly kicked her legs, hard enough so that she moved in the water, but soft enough so that she didn't shower Jeremy, Tianne turned over and dived deep down. The boy may have been able to touch, but thanks to Tianne's height, or lack there of, there was still a foot and a half of water between her and the ground. Grabbing on the Jeremy's leg, Tianne smiled, her eyes closing from the pressure that the salt water put on them. Resurfacing, Tianne giggled, as she pushed her fringe away from her eyes.

In many ways, Tianne had not yet outgrown her childhood ways. She still grinned excitedly at the mere mention of fun, her giggle was intoxicating, somewhat like that of a toddlers, and she found the stupidest things funny. Because she had come to Hogwarts, her childhood had been cut short, and thanks to the lack of friends, she couldn't behave like she wanted to. But whoever said that you had to mature with age? Tianne was happy to call herself a kid, god knows she was the height of one.
Swimming in even further than the boy, in order to be standing properly, Tianne watched the boy in awe. She could never do that properly, and it killed her. She hated Jem for being able to, in a joking sort of way. "That's not fair! I tried my best, and thats all that counts." She said, her arms crossing over her chest, in a fit of pretend frustration. "It has. I bet you it has. But I'm not going to show you."
