Catching sun by the lake

Anna slept soundly in her bed until the rays of sunlight shone through the window to her eyes causing her to wake. At first she was pretty annoyed having to wake up, but after taking a look outside, she decided that it might be a good idea to just sit out there for a little while with a good book. Getting dressed in her jeans and Werid Sister's t-shirt, Anna went downstairs into the Gryffindor Common room and out the portrait hole.

After walking down a lot of staircases she finally managed to get to the ground floor and went out the doors from the entrance hall. Since there weren't to many people out at this hour, she didn't find many people along the way. Walking along the pathway to the lake, the wind blew gently through her dark brown hair and the sun shone in her dark eyes as she aproched the lake.

Finally finding a nice patch of grass to lie down in, Anna sat down and stared into the lake for several minutes before opening her book and lying down. It felt so nice...

He woke up in the morning with the sunshine hitting down. "No! Go away sun, no one likes you," he said. Then putting the covers over his head. But it was no use, he was awake. "Er, I hate you," he said to the sun. He then got out of the bed. His hair was messed up and wild. He put on a blank red t-shirt on with some blue shorts on. He put on his DVS shoes and he was on his way.

He decided to fix his hair later for he wasn't 100% awake to do so. He walked down to the common room and no one was there. He should go to the lake for awhile and do something. He thought maybe someone was already there. After walking out the common room, he saw not a single person in the hallway. This was going to be really fun, or unless everyone was outside.

Walking down the staircase which Tristan hated because he thought it was a drag. Then walking outside where the sun beamed down. "Son of a gun," he said. It was like 80 or 90 degrees right now. But upon walking down the lake. He saw someone. He couldn't tell because of the stupid sun. He ran and stopped to see it was Anna. "Miss Anna Becket, what are you doing out here?" he said in a Ministry man's voice. He grinned to see what she say.

Anna heard someone walking behind her in the grass, but decided to ingnore it at first thinking that it was probobly someone she didn't know or just the wind. She got about a paragraph further into her book when she heard, "Miss Anna Becket, what are you doing out here?" At first she though who in their right mind would call her 'miss'? "Maybe it's one of those ministry people'' she though. But, it sounded incredibly familiar, then it hit her. Without lifting her gaze from her book she said, "Working for the Ministry now Tristan?" Smiling, she turned another page waiting to see what he would do next.

"Nah, I went to the Ministry during the summer and had a glance of what Auror's do with one of my uncle's workers. My uncle won't get off his working butt and doing anything," he said to her. He forgot all about his wrecking hair because he just woke up. He looked at the lake, then looking to see part of the Quidditch Pitch. He then sat on the grass still looking at it.

"Nice." Anna said. "I'm not too sure about what I want to do when I leave school. Maybe Auror." Wondering what Tristan was looking at, Anna turned her head to see a bit of the Quidditch pitch. It just reminded Anna how much she couldn't wait for the Quidditch match they would play sometime soon. She was about to say something about it to Tristan when she all of a sudden felt something moving in her pant pocket. Putting the book down, stopped reading about jinxes, and reached in her pocket to find a little white, black spoted kitten. "Coquito!" she exclaimed. "I thought you were sleeping in the dorm still!" Anna said putting her kitty on her shoulder.

"I was sleeping until he," he said pointing to the sun," woke me up with his dumb sunlight hit my face," he said to her. Then hearing she might wanted to be an Auror maybe,"Eh, well I kind of changed my mind. I either want to be a professional Quidditch player, somehow. Or be an Auror. The guy said I might make a great Auror," he added. Then remembering how the hair.

He then took out a comb and brushed it. He liked the bangs in his eyes. "So anyways," he said then looking at the cat," Uh, you still on the Quidditch team?" he asked her. He asked her this during the summer but since it was already October, he wanted to know if she was still on. He then grinned that he knew the new seeker of Gryffindor.

Anna smiled. "Yea, the sun was half the reason I got up this morning as well. The other half is I wasn't asleep anymore." She listened as Tristan said about maybe being an auror or quidditch player. "Well, I don't have you in class, so I wouldn't know how you are at spellcasting and such." she smiled again, feeling her cat move around. "And yes, I'm still on the team as a beater." Anna said. "But I'm not to sure about everyone else on the team."

"I'm a good spellcaster," he said with a grin. Then his grinned went down," I think I am, I don't know," he added. He really didnt' know if he was or not. He hasn't done anything good in Professor.... that Charms professor's class, so maybe he wasn't a great spellcaster. Then hearing she said she don't know about the rest of the team.

"Well, I know who the new seeker is on the Gryffindor Quidditch Team," he said with a grin.

"Well, I'm sure your a good spellcaster." Anna smiled. "I think that I'm a good spell caster but I practice a bit in my spare time." Which in fact was true. Jinxes and hexes were her specialty, but she only practiced when no one was watching her except a few girls in her dormatory. Hearing that Tristan knew who the new Gryffindor Seeker was, her eyes lifted up. "Really? Who is it?" she asked.

"Let's just say. He has DARK brown hair, very dark which people get confused of saying black. He is a fifth year in Gryffindor, of course. And your talking to him, " he said with a grin. She would have to know who it was now and if she didn't he'll have to tell her. But the 'your talking to him' part should of been easy for her. He waited until she responsed.

Anna giggled as Tristan started to describe himself. Even though it was obvious that Tristan was the new seeker, she decided to to play around for a second. "Yes Tristan, I know that's what you look like. But who is the new seeker?" Anna said sarcastically. After a second she couldn't hold it and just started lauging. Hopefully Tristan would realize she was kidding.

He laughed. "Me," he said with his tounge sticked out, then he grinned. He knew Anna knew that he was the new seeker. But Tristan knew he was tired of Gryffindor not being the best. The first game agaisnt Slytherin was probably going to be tough. He heard that the new seeker was a littledude named Artemis. He knew it might be easy to catch the snitch, but he would never doubt a littledude.

Anna stuck out her tounge back at Tristan. "It wasn't that hard to guess." she smiled. "So, do you think your up to being our seeker so we can do better than last year?" Anna wasn't to sure about his flying skills or the new one for Slytherin for that matter. Then Anna started blushing for a bit, though she didn't know why. She did like Tristan, but did she want to tell him now since they were by themselves?

"Heck yeah. 7 hours a day for the whole summer practicing. Are you kidding me?" he said to her grinning. "I'm the new Viktor Krum," he said joking. He knew he never be Viktor Krum, not even if his life depended on it. But he didn't know what would come up next summer. He hoped that his aunt would get married so she wouldn't have to come back. He knew once he gets back their to that home. That Aunt of his will be kissing and hugging.

Anna laughed. "You're the new Viktor Krum? Well, If that's the case then Gryffindor is sure to win! Just don't get to overconfident, could cost you some trouble." she joked. As she started to calm down, Anna still thought about wether or not to tell Tristan what she thought. It was now or never it looked like. "Hey Tristan? I kinda have to tell you something." she said at last
