Always trying to top him, Charlie said after him, "And Maryhu, take off the cap! We don't want no runners runnin' into the bleachers 'cause they can't see 'em." Looking back at DJ, she just glared at him. "I don't get no say, huh?" She crossed her arms.

"Yes you get 'say'. Charlie." Dan muttered through gritted teeth looking her up and down. His patience was wearing unbearingly thin, and he certainly didn't want to blow in front of the potential players. "Lay off a tad. You'll get more 'say'. M'kay?" Ah. Benefits. Nothing in the world sold without benefits. And knowing Charlie, she was sure to accept that.

Charlie only looked at him grudgingly and nodded. She had her fists balled up tight under crossed arms, but tried to push any thoughts of homocide away. If she wanted to get first dibs on his position after he got thrown out after graduation, she had to listen to him somehow, but she couldn't help out. What was once an effort to bother him was in an awaken innate sense to bust his chops.

Arianna stared at Charlie for a second or two, her mind racing for a good reason why she should be able to keep her cap on. If she took it off, her blue-streaked Raven black hair and, perhaps, her face would give her away. She needed to keep the cap on if she were to keep the facade up.
"You don't want me running into the bleachers, so you're askin' me to get rid of the very thing that keeps my hair, which is a bigger pain than this here cap, out of my face?" she questioned, still amazingly keeping her fake accent at its peak. "Doesn't that make a whole lotta sense."
The girl shook her head at Charlie and made no move to remove her hat. She was rather arrogant for a new kid, wasn't she?

Charlie surely did hear the arrogance in "Marty"'s voice, and she wasn't liking it one bit. "We're in a wide open space, Maryhu. You don't need to care about runnin' into something. 'Sides, if you really need something to hold your hair back--" Charlie pulled at the hairtie holding back her ponytail. "--then use this. We're not dementors, hiding our face like that. We're a proud team."

When the captain told him to run he started to Jog, but not without flipping him the bird VERY noticably. Artemis who was about a quareter of the way around the field noticed the person in a cap refusing to remove it. he silently walked up behind her and the manuver would be quick, his hand would come up flp off her cap and reveal her face, if he timed it right.

Arianna shook her head at Charlie. She didn't need no stinkin' hair tie. Especially not one from a snake's head. Besides, her hair was cut in layers that just didn't seem to want to be held back into a ponytail anyway. The elastic would do no good.
"No tha..." Arianna started out just as a hand came up in front of her face, knocking the hat off her head. She quickly turned as her streaked blue and black hair fell from it's confinement, muttering, "Jerk." at the younger boy as she did so.

Artemis smiled and laughed as he took a step backwards to avoid retaliation. " there Charlie you have her face UNcovered!" Artemis said between bursts of laughter. He finally added " Isn't Blue hair a no-no?" Artemis asked not knowing much about who the girl was. He loved being so small he was ignored sometimes and this time was one of them.

Charlie was still deciding if his action was praise or beating-worthy when she saw the tufts of blue and black hair. Oh, there was only one girl to have that...
"SHRIVER!" Charlie shouted, and really without thinking much about it (since she seemed to do it so much), grabbed her beater bat and ran at the girl with it, swinging it rather menacingly. "YOU'RE DEAD!"

At the sound of her name being hollared, Arianna turned back to Charlie, a wide grin on her face. It was funny how the younger girl was trying to threaten her. The Ravenclaw wasn't scared one bit by that bat Charlie was waving at her.
"Oh, is that so?" she questioned, folding her arms over her chest, her broom still in her grip. She continued with her Scottish accent, wondering just how far she could push the prefect.

It seemed that all that week her nerves and patience were being patience, and it didn't stop even on the Qudditch pitch. If only someone could probably hold her back... But still, she was at a far distance, her bat being gripped tighter as she swung it around, sort of like a nun chuck.

Arianna snorted. Was Charlie afraid to actually TRY to hit her? Arianna suspected the girl didn't really want to hit her, which was why she hadn't budged. She was having too much fun antagonizing to even think that what she was doing might possibly be stupid. "So, is she your Quidditch Captain?" she questioned, turning her gaze to the other snakes. "Bloody loony, if you ask me. You sure you want to be taking orders from her?" {Well, I was going to wait for the other two to reply, but I got impatient }

Ty ran out onto the Quidditch pitch hoping that he hadn't gotten there too late and that the tryouts were already over. He wanted to at least have a shot at making the team and was looking forward to get back into the air and start flying again. When he reached the field he was shocked at what he saw. One of the older students was swinging her beaters bat viciously towards another student. After jerking his eyes away from this sight he spotted two other students, one that looked younger than him by a year or two and another that looked several years older to him. He approached the older boy and said, "Are you the Quidditch caption, because I would like to try out for the team." Ty had his broom in one hand and his keeper gloves in the other. He was a very good keeper, but also could play all of the other positions too.

Daniel’s cobalt eyes whipped from left to right in desperation as the two of them bickered on. Wide-mouthed, the captain, shook his head in disbelief as ‘Martie’ became Ari. He thought he recognized those eyes. Putting the clipboard under his elbow, he cupped his hands, fingers over fingers, and called out to the two of them, “Oi. Shriver. Get off the field. Now.” Ok. So that wasn’t much of a threat. But watching Charlie ‘handle’ the situation was much more amusing. And bound to get her in trouble. Ignoring the fresh parchment, the 7th year wrote on his arm a quick note on Charlie’s behavior, and watched in amusement as Charlie ‘chased’ Ari around. Daniel almost felt a grin touching his lips when he heard a ‘little’ voice down below. So it wasn’t exactly a little voice, it was the fact that Daniel was about a foot taller then him that made it seem little. Looking down at the boy, he studied him up and down. Hrm... Lets see here.Daniel thought before stating trying to copy Ari’s canny accent ( ), “Aye. That would be I. Umm.,. N.Y.P.?” Taking the pencil in hand, he bent his knees trying to get slightly closer to eye-level with the boy.

It wasn't until Ty was right up next to the older boy that he realized how much taller he was than himself. He looked up at him when he informed him that he was indeed the Quidditch captain and was relieved that he had guessed right because if he had to approach the one currently swinging the beaters bat he wasn't sure how he was going to do that. Assuming that he understood what the initials N.Y.P meant correctly. "Ty Calister, Second year, Keeper or Chaser, like to play Chaser more but am better at Keeper." he said watching as the boy got down to his level a little bit more.
