Alright, so maybe Charlie was about half an hour early to the nine o'clock practice and try out. She had rushed her breakfast that cloudy Saturday morning and was pretty much all warmed up for the meeting. She had anticipated this all week, usually trying to beat DJ to the punch when it came to qudditch matters. She hung up the notices and even included personal notes in everyone's dorm beds. With all the promotion she had put, she was sure to round up a bunch.
Her way of doing things without even telling DJ was mostly out of spite and anger, seeing as she had been passed up for the captain position for the third time in two years. Sure, she was perhaps a bit young for it, and almost screwed it up royally the one time she took the Captaining position herself. But this year she would forceably redeem herself in order to get first consideration when DJ graduated that year.
She didn't bother with waiting for them in the locker room, seeing as she thought that the sooner they were on the pitch, the better. She wanted to everyone in their gear and down at the pitch at nine on the dot. Her expectations were high, even though she wasn't sure if her housemates thought the same. Almost always her house got smug prissies who wouldn't dare to even touch a broom. But she was sure that if some first years were to come, she could whip them up into shape for the first match.
By five to nine, Charlie was in the air herself, ready to start things. She knew she had to be patient, and at least wait for DJ to get on the pitch. But hang it all! she concluded, she would definitely take everything into her own hands.

Daniel was sick. Sick and tired of Charlie forcing matters pertaining to the Quidditch team before he had time to put in his own thoughts ( ). More then likely right before as well. Bloody girls any all their quick speech. He never understood how they could talk and spread the word so fast despite the fact she had left notes in everyones beds. Speaking of that, Daniel had only known it was Quidditch Tryouts when he had received a Quidditch Tryout note inbetween covers every night for a week. The little CJ signature at the bottom gave it away as to her. And he thought he was going crazy. Daniel took his time at breakfast, finding that the spare time he had that morning to be enjoyable. Breakfast and Italian were two words that meshed together perfectly, and expecially with waffles, who could resist. He was so going to get cramps on the field, but meh. Could be worse weatherwise certainly. Coming out onto the field with his Quidditch robes intact (despite the fact they were a bit tighter then last year) and broom in hand. He was not looking forward to this. Ok. Maybe he was looking forward to telling people they sucked and to get off the field, he was certainly not keen on telling Charlie to cool down and sit back. She was Co-Captain. In his mind, Co-Captain were meant to be the people taking out the Quidditch balls, putting them back, booking the field, and training the noobs. Captain had all the glory, and although shoving it in her face had been fun for the first week, she was taking her job a bit too far. Seeing Charlie in the year, the Seventh year shook his head silently as a soft breeze roamed the field. She was ready to go, certainly. The question was, what was to happen when he told her to cool down?

Though Charlie had enough energy to power Dublin for four years, she stopped herself the moment she caught sight of someone down below.
"Hey! DJ!" Charlie waved at him, though it wasn't like she was hard to find. If he had thought her tactics to be annoying, then she knew she was doing her job. Just like with Reina, the previous captain, Charlie had been the little steam engine behind the captain, purposely going ahead on things in order to get a reaction from the captain and kill two birds with one stone by urging the Slytherin team foward. Really, if Daniel wanted to be the rock star of Qudditch captains, Charlie didn't mind it at all. But she was going to get this team into shape.

Well, this was certainly going to be fun. After picking up a flier after it had been dropped by a few second year snakes at breakfast, Arianna thought she might check things out and see just how the new captain would do. She was especially interested in who, exactly, that new captain was. And maybe annoy him and his co-captain while she was at it. Arianna wasn't about to sit back in the stands and watch, though. Oh, no, she would be going undercover today; the best way to get right in and do the job she was out here for. Stepping out onto the field perhaps two minutes after Daniel, Arianna peered out from under her green baseball cap, which not only hid her face but also the tell tell blue-streaked raven black hair that would definitely give her away. She had also 'borrowed' a set of practice robes from the Slytherin lockers. They were dingy and smelled faintly of doxy breath, but Arianna would live with it if she wanted to show herself as the true snake she wasn't. "Oy! Not too late am I?" hiding behind an uncanny Scottish accent (she'd had lots of practice), the girl swaggered over to the two Slytherins, swinging her broom beside her. This would definitely be good. ((*prays you all play along* ))

Although Artemis Tayern was a first year he had heard about Quidditch and wanted to try out for ether the Seeker or keeper position. he had an older school broom slung over his shoulder as he entered the pith and the same thought crossed his mind. This is my HOME I love this place. Artemis looked up to see a girl already in the air, he had seen her before but he didn't recognise her. " You the Slytherin Quidditch capitan?" He asked.

"Hey! DJ!" Daniel gave a curt nod in her direction, and pursed to his lips to show that she was getting on her nerves. "Hey Charlie." He said indifferently with a hint of sarcasm, for at the time, they were the only two on the field and he was pretty sure they both knew who the other was. He didn't bother to push off, he had to look at the signups and decide who was going first and all. "Oi Charlie. Which position should we try out first?" With this, the first person trying out came out onto the field. Placing his broom on the floor and picking up the clipboard scrowled on with many signatures, he took the pencil (finding pencils much more practical then a quill) and asked her with a tad bit of enthusiasm (because scaring off the potential players before having them try out wasn't good), "Not at all. Name?" He held the pencil close to the paper and searched the girl's face not able to put a name to the face. Seeing a much smaller student pace on the field, he yelled through cupped hands with the clipboard under elbow, "Oi! Rookie! Come on over!" He was extremely annoyed by the fact that the student approached Charlie before himself. She was really beginning to get on his nerves. ((ooc: I heart the accent Ari ))

Charlie was already liking the firstie before DJ called him to his vicinity. Unconciously, she gritted her teeth. Despite the fact that she did things before DJ to annoy him, she had also seemed to have grown... posessive of taking care of business.
Flying down to follow the herd of two to DJ, she landed and walked up to him, instantly peering over his shoulder to look at the clipboard herself. She had an advantage now with the extra inches she had gained in her height, but sometimes it wasn't enough. What do they put in these guys' food? she thought miserably, and looked up at the two new people.
She could tell that the smaller one was a firstie, because he had that certain look to him. All first years did. But looking at the latter, she craned to look at the girl under the hat. "Nice cap, newb. Don't see your name on here, though," She went on her tip toes and looked over DJ shoulder's again. "Who are you?"

Arianna let a grin appear on her features for a brief moment. So far, so good. None of them seemed to think she could be anything more than one of them and that suited her just fine. The smile soon disappeared, however, when they both asked her name. Who was she to answer? The boy? Or the girl? Who was in charge of this thing, anyway?
"I'm not on there?" she questioned, faking confusion and concern, her eyes darting from one to the other. One of them had to have her name.....right? "Oy. I signed up as soon as I heard. The name's Marty. Marty Maryhu. It's not a problem, is it?"

"Oh..." Charlie looked at the "guy" and hid her own embarassment. She had briefly thought that the person was a girl. But she couldn't quite tell with that big cap of his. "Marty Maryhu... 'Kay, I guess your a transfer or somethin' 'cause I don't see nothing on here," Charlie reached over DJ's shoulder and flipped over a page on the clipboard, "Not even in the house roster. What's your year?" She looked up at "Marty" again and waited for his reply.

"Fourth year," Arianna replied automatically, inclining her head ever so slightly. She struggled not to laugh at how well this was playing out, but managed all the same. Even better was Charlie thinking she was a boy, though Arianna didn't yet know that thought was going through the other girl's mind. In fact, though her curves were well hidden by slightly oversized t-shirt and jeans, she just might look like guy. The name she chose could go either way. "Oy, my papers might not be settled yet, then. Barely made it to the train, I did."
"So, what positions do you have open?" the girl questioned, her eyes falling upon Daniel now. Sure, Charlie seemed to be taking control over the whole business, but then...she was a bit of a loud mouth. That certainly didn't mean she was in charge.

" Yea?" Artemis yelled to dan as he ran over to him. " I want in on the team, my mother said I had the build of a seeker and great reflexes, so If you don't mind i'll try out there first and If I fail on that position, I'll try for the Keep (yes I purposely missed 'er' on it.) I was pretty good at soccer goalie when I was in muggle school."

Daniel cast a skeptical look over his shoulder at Charlie as she attempted to look over his shoulder (man. Some kids just didn't stop growing...) and straightened a bit higher to 'unintentionally' cast her aside. Well, his cunning, devious planning didn't work out really well, for Charlie still managed to flip the page of the clipboard to the House Roster. The seventh year merely shrugged, gave her a look and threw the page back over to the sign up sheet writing in rather messy scribble then not, Martie Merrihu- 4th Year. He said aloud searching for a pair of eyes under the cap (for if the kid was any good, he went on an eye basis rather then name), "I believe everything except a beater position... We are running pretty much a tryout where everyone tries out for everything, see who is good at what, and from there, we select the team on strengths." Gritting his teeth slightly, he looked back over his shoulder again, "Right Charlene?"
"Ya ya. Stop yer yapping midget." The Seventh Year snapped at the firstie, bitting his tongue sharply. Ugg. The nerve and ego of the kid. "We will decide where to place you..." Looking at the list and year, he continued on, "Umm.... Art-y-mis" ((ooc: pronouced: art-EEE-mist xP ))

Charlie bit her tongue to keep from bickering in front of the new recruits. "Yes... Jackson." She crossed her arms and stopped leaning over his shoulder. She wasn't going to just let him take over still.
"Er... while we wait, we can get some stretches done, 'kay?" Charlie said, already stretching into a flamingo pose. But she stopped and looked ar "Marty". "Sorry Maryhu, but you gotta take the cap off. How are you see anything from under that thing?" She pointed to the cap.

" Eh, its Art-e-mis" (Occ: Art-EEE-miss) He said his voice frustrated at the mispronunciation. He walked over to Charlie and as he brushed past he muttered in her ear so not another soul could hear, " Who put a bee in his Whitey-tighties?" after his comment he walked past and asked Charlie " SO what do you want me to do?"

"Eh. English isn't a first language. Can't help it." He said indifferently a bit loud as the kid began to walk away. His dark sapphire eyes narrowed in anticipation for the firstie to say something outrageous and rude, but it never came, so that whispering was beginning to look real suspscious. However, the comment to Charlie got on his nerves. "Actually short stuff. She isn't going to ask you to do anything- she is only the co-captain. What I want you to do however, being captain and making all final decisions, is run. Run as many laps as you can shorty." He waited two seconds before beckoning him, "Hop to it." ((ooc: assuming that Art does as he is told...)) After the boy left, Daniel went back to the other girl, shaking his head with the little boy's nerves.
