They had gone from a rather small group in the beginning of the year to a rather well rounded class, all of the houses having somewhat equal representation. This pleased Robert, though his mood since breakfast, and last class had not improved. He still felt as though something was amiss. And he couldn't figure out what.
Never the less the wide-stemmed plants were potted and on the table, the cocoon like pods dotted with dark purple spots gave clear warning not to touch them. He could only wonder just how many would heed the colorful display of warning as there was no written one.
The second years would find their Professor in the back of the room, if any of them took more than a fleeting glance, rubbing at his temples in feeble attempt to make a decent day end quicker so he could enjoy it as much as the students longed to. Rather, enjoy it within professional standards.

Ty made his way down from the castle, across the grounds, and finally arriving at the greenhouses. Looking around he saw the greenhouse he was looking for and made his way over to it. Opening the door he crept inside, only to find that he was the only person in there. He hadn't even noticed the professor in the back of the room. Making his way over to where the tables stood with what seemed like some kind of potted plants. Ty was usually quite good at Herbology and couldn't wait for the class to begin. Sitting down at one of the tables he unloaded all of his supplies and looked closer at the plant that was sitting in front of him. Wondering whether or not the plants were of the dangerous variety he stuck out his hand as if to touch one of the pods.

Well the sun was shining and the grass was green, and a bird occasionally sang a harmony. And it was these seemingly small and unimportant things that made the day so perfect for the Hufflepuff second year as she crossed the grounds toward the greenhouses. Classes...blergh.
Still never-the-less the girl arrived at her destination and caught sight of no one but the Slytherin boy as she took a seat two to his left and one in front (meaning two over and one forward). Turning around in her chair she only said the first two words that came to her mind as it had been drilled into her head the year prior...
"I wouldn't..." The girl chirped cautiously, her head tilting slightly to the right as she spoke. She didn't know his name, well, not formally. She knew it began with a 'T', Tom, or Tyler or something like that. Was it really that important? Well...perhaps it was...

Ray had found the greenhouse easily enough and from across the ground she saw a girl who looked about her age going into a certain green house. Ray was not one-hundred percent positive where to go because she had missed the first lesson; she was still rather in shock of going to lessons, going to Hogwarts had suddenly popped into Tigers head and in twelve hours she was at this school.
Once inside the greenhouse she went and took a place beside the girl she had seen enter as the girl warned the other student occupant. Ray had not had public classes for over a year and was a little awkward at first. After a short pause, in which she began to pick at the fabric tied around her left hand, she said, talking to the hufflepuff girl “Hi. I’m Ray.”

Abigail paused inside the doorway of the greenhouse. Her robes flew this way and that in the strong breeze that was blowing as she observed the classroom and the people in it. The girl was in fact feeling a bit hesitant; her eyes rested on Professor Shaw in the back of the room. Abby wasn't sure what was going to happen, what with her little outburst and nap the previous class. Biting her lower lip, the Huffle cast a nod and weak smile in the Herbo-man's direction and shuffled towards the group of students already sitting down.
Abby sat down on the other side of Lianna and smiled to the three in greeting. Her eyes fell on Ty's outstretched hand, and she immediately began shaking her head. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she said as a warning, almost saying the exact thing Lianna had, while turning in her chair to face the boy.

Ty lowered his hand after the two Hufflepuff girls had warned him not to touch it. He was a bit disappointed, but how could he claim ignorance if they had already told him not to touch it. He really wanted to see what the plant could do, but after the two's insistence that he shouldn't touch it he just decided to wait and see what the Professor had to say about the strange pods. He wondered if the brightly colored marks on the plants meant the same thing as they did on a brightly colored tree frog, that they were poisonous. In that case it was probably a good thing that he hadn't actually touched it.

She was all set to warn the boy once more after his hand didn't recede, all set that is until the Ravenclaw girl cautiously spoke to her as though she was someone intimidating. Lianna and intimidating, two words that would never go together right. Ray? As in ray of sushine or ray of death? Eh, either way she decided it best to be cordial and return the greeting at least before going and repeating her warning. "I'm Lianna, nice to meet you." She replied, extending a hand to the nervous girl. By her actions she seemed like a first year in the wrong class, but the timetables weren't that hard to figure out.
After she spoke to the girl Abi entered and took a seat on her left side and repeated her warning for her. And, the boy withdrew his hand, smart move. It was probably the most important rule here, aside from 'don't be late'. That being 'don't touch the plants'. It was odd forher though because part of her wanted him to learn the hard way, the other well, didn't.

"Ow. Ow. Ow"
The secondie muttered to himself as he walked into the greenhouse. If one to look at his feet, one may think that he couldn't tell the left shoe from the left, the reason being, he wore two different pairs of shoes, both feet adorned in a left shoe. With his robes whipping lightly behind him, Mark gazed into the classroom. Well. He wasn't late - that was a good thing. He thought he would be walking in two left shoes. Taking a seat not too far from the others, Mark chewed his bottom lip.

Getting a little restless while waiting for the class to start Ty figured that he could poke the plant without touching it to see if it would do anything to the object that made contact with it. He took out one of his quills thinking that if it attacked he didn't want to use his wand in case it destroyed anything that it touched. Looking around he saw that most of the other students were in grossed with other things then watching what he was up to. So he poked the plant with the tip of his quill holding it by its eagle feather.
