You...you know, if you need anything,...just like ask, ok
It was a response, typical, yet heartwarming. Jax was a nice girl, very friendly, and seemingly protective. Why she was protective of her though, she didn't know, not when she was so mean to her at the dance accidentally. The dance hadn't gone over as well as it was supposed to have, and Felicity blamed herself for that. Jax had taken off before she could talk to her, and they hadn't spoken much about it since. However, the professor was starting the lesson, so she gave a nod to the Eagle.
As if she'd fight over a cat. That was ridiculous to think, she hated cats...well, except Emerald. But, since she and Celina weren't talking, she couldn't see the black cat anymore. Not even around the castle had she seen her, not that she was around too much.
Raising her hand, for two sakes, she couldn't help it. "Professor? What if a student refused to take part in the lesson?" she asked. Even with Bloxam she didn't point her wand at an animal, nor with Justus' class. Even if he said it wouldn't be harmful and that he would be supervising, he couldn't keep an eye on all of them all the time. Felicity and a wand didn't go well together to begin with, she couldn't handle pointing it at an animal to boot.

Felicity nodded, and as much as Jax wanted to believe that Felicity fully understood her longing to help her, Jax knew the blond Gryffindor would never understood, so she smiled warmly and took the nod with as much sincerity as she could. She'd do anything for the girl, Jax didn't know how yet to prove it.
As Professor Brady spoke, Jax smiled a bit at the attempt to grow a cat up with magic. That was great! How exciting! Jax was ready and willing for the day, but the fact that the older Ravenclaw was still in the hall freaked her out a little. Was she planning something? Did she want to wait to finish Felicity off, and therfore was sitting in the hall where she could see everyone but no one could see her. Brady's disclaimer about nothing bad happening to the cats went in one of Jax's ears and out the other, but the 'do you have any questions' part didn't. Jax rose her hand, and as she did it trembled a bit. Was she scared.....no way. It must have been cold in the room.
"Professor?" Jax asked as nervous glances went back to the doorway. "I think someone's a little lost out in the hallway...." Jax's peace was said...now she just hoped Brady would put that Jedynak in her proper place. Just as was meant to be...and what should have been done when she turned over Felicity.

Vanessa was SOOOOO excited, though she may have not shown it. A huge smile crossed her face as her question was answered about what cats they could use. She wanted to grow the little white kitten up, with the gorgeous pale blue eyes. He, as Vanessa was guessing such a handsome cat must have been a he, would be a great, and even more handsome cat all grown up and with a bit of magic, Vanessa would be able to see it. How she longed for such a discovery, so much so, she was temped to ask the Professor if the cats had a home at the end of the day. She'd ask later. Maybe if she did, and the professor said she could, she'd take Purity home with her. (Yes, she had even already named it.)
Questions? She had none, but the ones that two other girls in the class asked did puzzle her greatly. Why wouldn't anyone want to participate? And on that matter....who cares if someone was lost? Why did any of that matter? How come the lesson was being held up....Vanessa wasn't one to get mad, but she was just a bit annoyed by all of the useless questions. All she wanted to do was cuddle the cute white kitten and grow it into a handsome find. Vanessa sighed and bit her tongue....hoping they'd move on with everything soon. She really wanted Purity in her arms.

Terrah sneezed. She was slightly allergic to cats, but she enjoyed Transfiguration, so she decided to suffer through the lesson and hope she'd feel better afterwards. She looked at all the adorable kittens waiting to be transformed into full grown cats, and smiled. And then sneezed again. She sighed, pulled her handkerchief out of her pocket and blew her nose, and then retrieved her wand from her bag. Wand in hand, she waited for the kitties to be handed out. She knew exactly which one she wanted- the chubby little gray one off on its own. She wondered if she'd be able to keep the cat after they were done... and sneezed yet again.
