Devin Brady sat in the chair of a desk in the back of a beautiful classroom. It was set with interesting objects of various magical genres, interesting art pieces, and dark arts detectors. On a small chalkboard in the front a piece of chalk floated on its own, causing the word...
Welcome
... to appear. In front of the chalkboard was a very long large cushioned container, and roaming inside the container were various cute little kittens. Today the students would learn how to change these little kittens into full grown cats, with simple work of wands.
Sitting back in his desk he scratched out his last lesson, just as he had done for this one before his first and second years. Now as his quill continued to scratch he glanced from time to time waiting for the first of the students to enter his dome of study.

Walking through the corridors took forever, or at least that's how it felt to Felicity as she made her way to the Transfiguration classroom. Out of all her wand classes, Transfiguration was her favourite, except when they had to use animals to preform spells on. However, she wasn't keen on really touching a wand anymore either, not after what had happened. Of course, she quickly got over her fear of carrying wands when she decided it best, with a push from Drew, to carry her own wand with her, in fact it was under her pillow every night now, too.
Just the thought of walking through the corridors could make the blonde shudder, not to mention she was constantly looking over her shoulder for fear of seeing yet another faceless mask, the man who hurt her, or Celina. Any of the three and was ready to have her wand out. Well, maybe not quite so much with Celina, but she was hoping the girl wouldn't try to talk to her either. If she got too close, Felicity had a few spells she knew prepared, but then again, she didn't really want to hurt the girl either. Even if she was worse than a snitch, Felicity couldn't just randomly point her wand and choose a spell to use. Not with her anyway. And really, it was doubtful she would ever feel comfortable pointing her wand at someone, not after she found out first-hand what kind of damage and magic could be created from the end of one.
Clutching her wand in one hand, and just clutching her other itself, Felicity hurried on her way to the lesson. Whether the new professor would prove to be something worth sitting the class through, she was sure the lesson would prove. Serious consideration was being done about Defense, she wanted the approval of Drew before she did it, but she didn't want to talk to Raynor about it either. The thought of being in a room with her, whether alone or not, was enough to keep Felicity sitting on the floor of the loo for hours, feeling ill.
Finally making it to the Transfiguration classroom, Felicity felt a sigh of relief sweep through her body. While she still hardly knew too many of her year mates, and Celina was in the class, the Gryffindor thought it might be all right. Transfiguration was an interesting subject matter, all she could hope was they were using teapots or something inanimate for the lesson.
It was an almost pleasantly, surprising shock for the brown-eyed girl to note she wasn't late and was in fact the first in the class. Felicity also took note of the changes, it was different. Bloxam had been really nice, Felicity had actually liked him, but was more than surprised to hear about the news of he and the former Headmistress. The set-up was similar, in that Brady, who she knew from the Quidditch game as well as the interview material Celina had let her look-over, was sitting at his desk. If he'd been asleep, she wouldn't have done what she did with Bloxam. After that particular fiasco, she didn't think it was smart to think a sleeping professor needed to be a bit more comfortable; not when he woke and fell from his chair and took a student down with him.
Instead, she quickly glanced at Brady and found a seat in the back. There was no need to speak, she hadn't gotten the best impression from him before, but perhaps he would prove himself different in the class, especially being he was the new Head of House for Gryffindor as well.

Celina didn't enter. She had seen Felicity walk into the room just moments before, and her body quaked. Celina wanted to cry and lock herself up in a bathroom stall like she had been doing for hours at a time every day. It was amazing how much seclusion one could get in a bathroom stall, although, every time she did she thought about how that was exactly where her and Felicity had come up with the plan. That only made everything worse.
So, there she stood. In the entrance way, to the side, letting there be enough room for people to pass when they got there to enter. She looked a Brady, and didn't know whether to despise the man for the fact that he had attacked her brother months before, or just the small fact that without even thinking he called Alfonz out as a Deva. Brady didn't even know Alfonz! How could he accuse him of such things without even realizing that he wasn't there under Shaw's commands! Alfonz was totally innocent!
Celina's thoughts breached, questioning herself over and over what she had finally achieved to convince herself of. Alfonz was innocent, and it didn't matter what it had looked like in the Great Hall that night, nor did it matter how Alfonz looked even being there in one of the faceless masks. Her brother was there because he had lied to Shaw and he needed a way into Hogwarts to protect her. It was why Shaw had been so mad the night he had caught their embrace, and it had been the reason why Shaw had obviously made Alfonz tell him what was going on with her and Felicity. Shaw was the evil man...not Alfonz.
Celina's eyes were wide as she began to back out of the doorway...she couldn't go to class.....not when there was so much hurt, and lost respect felt.....whether it was the respect Celina had lost with Felicity....or the respect that Celina only ever slightly had with Brady (before she had found out about his involvement with Alfonz)....Celina didn't think she could do it....
She backed up so far, she hit the wall directly opposite the open door, and collapsed to the ground, tears welled up in her eyes, trying very hard...not to cry.

Matty halted. The Hufflepuff had been making her way to her Transfiguration class, a little way behind Felicity and Celina. Now that the girl had reached one of her fellow classmates, thoughts of Leto and homework evaporated from her mind. Sitting opposed the open door to the classroom, was Celina. She didn't look the best either. Had something happened in the classroom? Was it a Deva member inside, whom has caused Celina to be blasted to the wall? No, it couldn't have been, Matty would have heard the blast. The teenager picked up her pace and hurried down the corridor, finding her way to Celina's side.
The girl's green eyes looked over the Ravenclaw, when finally, Matty bent down next to the older girl. Tears swam in her eyes. Sadness and fear swam like fish in her eyes, a pool of emotion. "Celina?" the girl whispered, however scared that her voice was hardly audible. "Celina, what's wrong?" the 14-year-old said softly, however louder than her first attempt. The girl knew faintly of some things that happened to the fifth year during the take-over. Unpleasant as things had been, Matty was not affected that much, and she was grateful for that. The girl brushed back her hair out of her eyes, now turning her head to look into the classroom. Professor Brady looked normal, and the girl couldn't help but faintly smile. She knew that man had wanted a job here at Hogwarts, and now he had it. Little did she know of the events he had taken part in, that had affected other people. Good or bad, the girl was oblivious. Turning back to Celina, Matty's smile faded slightly.

What could Celina say as Matty ran to her side? What could she say that would redeam her in anyone’s eyes? Maybe Matty hadn’t seen…hadn’t been in the Great Hall as Celina had confessed her and Felicity’s plan to the head of the Deva…maybe she hadn’t heard the older Gryffindor’s screams….
Celina shook her head, avoiding eye contact with the younger girl. She could say nothing that wouldn’t condemn herself even further than she was, and any minute it may be to late for the Ravenclaw to leave…Brady may see her and speak with her….even then, what would she say? He above all now would find her working for the side that had intruded into all of their lives? Was she Deva? Was that her purpose? Celina continued to shake the thoughts out of her head….she wouldn’t believe that she was meant for evil things….
….even if her friend’s tortured screams haunted her, and she relived the scene every night in her nightmares…..her watching her friend suffer after giving her away…..the lessons learned and taught…..and among all, Celina continued to beg the leader of the Deva to please have mercy and stop….
“I don’t think I can attend class, is all….I think I’ve fallen ill….” Celina whispered, hoping that she could leave but as she tried to stand she let out a sob and realized her legs had grown weak with sorrow. She couldn’t go into the room with Brady and Felicity…she just didn’t know how she could ignore what all had happened….

Vanessa quickly paced herself, as she climbed from the second floor and went to Transfiguration class. She had been knitting the rest of a sweater that she had started in the Huffle common room, and had lost track of time. As she neared the doorway to the room, she noticed a fellow Huffle and Celina sitting against the wall, talking with one another. Her mind yet again ached for the knowledge that she had forgotten. There was some reason that Celina wasn't one to trust...some reason why she knew she couldn't stop and speak with her and see if she was ok. A gripping fear of the girl had a hold of her, and for some reason, she sped right past them not even looking at them or saying anything.
As Venessa entered the room, her eye caught the most gorgeous kitten she had ever seen sitting in a container and looking out straight at her. It was pure white, with pale blue eyes, and Vanessa covered her mouth at the beautiful creature. Slowly she walked up as far as she could, without getting behind her Professor and smiled widely at the adorable kitten. "Professor, do we get to pick the cat we're working with today?" she asked, almost in a pleading kind of way. It was so cute, and it's eyes pleaded with her for affection. Vanessa found that if she could at least cuddle the cat, she'd be happy. So, very much so.

It was time for a class that Jax found that she enjoyed. Hands in her pockets, short blond hair spiked in the back with her bangs framing her circular face, Jax was a bit surprised that her class would be with not only the fourth years, but also the fifth years. She wasn’t pleased. Not because she didn’t like having classes with the older students…not at all. But rather, the fact was that there was a particular Raven that would be in the class that if Jax never had any contact with ever again, life would be too good. A disgrace to even the bravest….smartest….Jax would never have given in. Not like Celina had.
It broke Jax’s heart even more than most would think. It broke her, and made her more miserable in such a different way, Jax doubted that anyone would understand that her anger came from the fact that the betrayal against the older Gryffindor was taken by Jax as a personal offense. Jax’s heart was broken by witnessing two people that she admired crushed; and by a man of all people.
Celina was an older girl was beautiful, magnificent, and smart. Jax had never thought that her image would ever be tainted in her mind. Jax knew that Celina was shy, and not the strongest of all people, but she didn’t realize….it boiled her blood in so many ways, and anger was the only way that Jax could portray her own pangs of hurt. And when she saw Matty sitting next to Celina as she got to the classroom, she scoffed in disgust.
“If I were you…I’d be careful,” she sneered, directing her talk to Matty. “She’ll stab you in the back faster than she stabbed Felicity in the front.” And with that, she didn’t even wait to hear a response. Jax looked away from the older classmates and walked into her classroom. Jax didn’t look at Brady, for fear he’d say something to her. Anything at all, she didn’t care.
She walked up to the side of where Felicity sat, and looked at an empty seat. “So, you sav’n seats or can I sit?” she asked, a bit rougher than she meant to but Jax was still trying to get over the fact that anyone would be nice to Celina. After what she did? Jax couldn’t begin to forget, accept, or do anything. Not when Felicity had gone through so much for that girl, and all Celina had done was cry and fuss….she wasn’t even tortured! Jax sat down, and leaned back in her chair a bit, her hands still in her pockets. She looked at the girl asking about the cats and wanted to laugh….what was she doing? Already kissing professor butt? Scowling, Jax just looked down into her lap. No, she wasn’t ready for class.

When a girl she wasn't familiar with walked in and started cooing over the cats, Felicity felt a bit of disgust hit her. Cats? Felicity didn't like cats, none except Emerald, and thinking about Emerald made her think of Celina, which made her want to cry. If her new Head of House insisted on using cats, really any animal, Felicity couldn't participate. She wasn't going to be on the other end of a wand while a living, breathing thing was on the spell-shooting end. She couldn't do it. Absolutely not. She already was against using her wand against an animal, though Shelly(?) had that magical duck Percy that she offered for Felicity to practice with. The Gryffindor was thinking maybe she should ask. But there was no way she was going to do anything to a poor defenseless creature, no matter how much she didn't like cats.
The girl jumped, right up out of her seat when Jax spoke to her. Her light brown eyes were trained on the scene unfolding before her and hadn't expected anyone to come up to her. "N...no, I'm not saving seats, for anyone. I wouldn't do that," she looked at the younger girl. They hadn't had a good chat since the Halloween dance, and even then she was still unsure of why the girl had taken off on her. "I have no real preferences as to who sits near me and who doesn't."
When Jax sank into the seat, she looked over at her, just watching her. She was such an amazing young girl, but Felicity wasn't sure she understood her, not entirely. "How are you doing Jax?"

Jax shrugged. How could she be doing? Wasn't the apropriate question here, how was she doing? "I'm alright, I guess...what about you, Felicity? You alright?" Jax knew that she probably shouldn't be asking the older girls such questions, thinking they'd make her think of awful things, but Jax really was concerened....especially, with what she had the unfortunate pleasure of witnessing. She wanted to know that at least one of her older friends, close or not, were alright. And asking Celina, was out of the question. Jax didn't care, and thought to herself that she'd never again care for that traitor again.
She looked around the room, her eyes catching the cats. She was pretty good with her wand, so Jax wasn't too worried about what she could or could not do to the kittens. It was a piece of cake...not like potions. Who needed to brew stuff up to make your head swell? Jax's head just started to swell with everything that she had had to think about in the past few months, and everything that had happened to her. If anything...she needed a potion to cure headaches, for she had been getting a lot of them recently. Jax sighed. "I think I'm getting a headache," she said, as she rubbed her temples with two of her fingers.

Matty looked to Celina as she spoke. No, that Hufflepuff did not know of the issues between Felicity and Celina. No, she did not know how much tension lay between. Even if she had known these things, Matty wouldn't be one to judge purely off rumour. She was on good enough terms with both the girls, and little did she know of their problems. That girl was not one to pick sides. 'I don’t think I can attend class, is all….I think I’ve fallen ill….' The teen sighed slightly, and nodded. Matty knew she couldn't do anything to help, considering this was a closed issue, not just an illness.
It was then a surprise as Jax, a girl Matty had met previously, although very briefly, spoke. If I were you…I’d be careful,' there was a pause before she spoke again. “She’ll stab you in the back faster than she stabbed Felicity in the front.' the soft green eyes of the teenager turned into a glare, as the younger Ravenclaw vanished into the classroom. Matty bit back her lip, and turned to Celina. "Okay, well, I'll give you some space. You rest here for a moment, and if the lesson is about to start and you're not there, I'll pop back out to see if you're here." and with that, Matty gave her a small smile, and walked into class.
The Hufflepuff gave a small nod to her Professor, making sure to walk past Jax on her way to the back row. Matty slowed down once she reached the younger Ravenclaw. "Thank you for the advice, but I can look after myself." she said quietly, and almost passively polite, before walking to the opposite side of the room, and taking a set in the back. Matty dropped her bag on the floor, before dragging out her things. Yes, Matty doubted she she enjoy this lesson.

"I think I'm fine," she answered. It was an answer that didn't really differ, for anyone but a few. All she could do was tell people what she thought, and she thought she was all right, but wasn't sure. And thoughts weren't really lies, were they? She didn't think so, especially when she was pretty sure about certain things. She was breathing, so that meant she was fine in one sense. That answer would have to do, she couldn't give another without lying, and she'd made sure to tell the young blonde that that's what she thought.
When the Eagle began rubbing her temples, Felicity wished she had something she could hand over to the girl, but she didn't, magical or muggle. Though, in Felicity's mind most magical cures beat out the muggle ones.
But when the addition of Matty came into play, Felicity was highly confused. The blonde knew she'd said something, but she didn't catch it. Whatever it was, the tone wasn't very appreciative. However, she couldn't really ask, not when she didn't know what was said. It was just an addition to the back row, at least for the moment.

Celina nodded her head toward Matty as the young girl left her side. Jax's comment had hit her heart pretty badly but not as badly as this class would if she stayed. Unfortunately, though, Celina's want to become something better than she had shown herself to be, and her pride (what little of it she had left), prevented her from even moving. She couldn't stand, too ashamed and embarrassed to walk into the class, not to mention, her fears of what all of whom entered the room thought of her was greatly affecting her ability to stand.
Defeated, she looked down into her lap and let a few tears fall, trying to regain herself before class started. She didn't want to be late, but at the same time, she couldn't find any strength to enter the class. Then again, like many others, Celina questioned if she even had any strength to begin with. So, she sat outside in the hall, in front of the Transfigurations classroom, too afraid to enter....but even more afraid to leave.

Matty didn't help Jax's headach any, and as she walked by the young raven shot the Hufflepuff a disgusted glare. She'd only been trying to warn the Huffle, but if she wasn't one for believing what the whole Great Hall had seen, or at least heard, then that was fine by Jax. She didn't care. Celina Jedynak had done a lot more damage that night than anyone would know, and not just to Felicity Hjort. As she remembered Felicity, Jax turned her attention back to her. "That's good, I'm glad." Jax pondered a bit, wondering how long Celina would actually sit outside in the hall, but then figured that the longer the better. Felicity said she thought she was alright, the introduction of the Ravenclaw could have posed a problem, and Jax wouldn't have it.
"You...you know, if you need anything,...just like ask, ok?" Jax said to Felicity and smiled warmly. As upset as she was, she couldn't show it. Not in front of Felicity Hjort. She'd suffered too much through everything to begin with, and Jax wouldn't have any more of it. Drew might have gotten her at the dance, along with that Lucas kid, but in class, the older raven was no where to be seen. That's where Jax found herself coming in. She'd help protect the older girl, no matter what. She wouldn't do anything like Celina had. She was better than that.

((Anyone coming in late, just post that you have been here, and we will pretend its a full class.))
Devin quietly worked in the back of the classroom, waiting for all the students to enter the room. Of course not all had, he had been very aware of the situations around the room, but currently there was nothing he could do. Silently standing he made his way to the front of the room, his robe floating out behind him. "Welcome class, I'm glad to see you all," he spoke with a light tone, a bit of a smile on his face. "Now as you can all see, in front of us we have an array of kittens, and yes you can choose the ones you want... though I will have no fighting over them."
He paused looking over the weary faces, he couldn't blame them, though Transfigurations was important it seemed pointless after the events of the past couple of weeks. "Today we will be learning how to change these kittens into full grown cats. Don't be afraid though, this will be perfectly harmless, plus I will be supervising so we should have no problems whatsoever. Now before I let you choose your feline of choice, are there any questions?"

Celina sat outside in the hallway, deciding not to enter at all, rather she'd listen from the outside. It wasn't as if she had missed a class before, it had just been rare when she did, and by sitting out in the hall it wasn't as if she could be yelled at for being late. Professor Brady started the class, and Celina was glad she hadn't entered....it was worse than the charms class when they used the silencing spell on the Ravens. In this class they were going to bewitch a cat to grow up? Ridiculous!
Celina had a thing against using magic against animals to begin with, she refused slightly in every class. Though, she eventually followed as she was instructed, she would always apologize to the animal profoundly. And now that she was thinking about animals and cats, Emerald's insistent mews to be let out from her carrier worked their way into the ears of the Raven girl. She covered her ears as she sat outside in front of the class. She should just leave....just gotten up and walked back to the Ravenclaw dorm and laid down. She was obviously getting more and more ill just by sitting in front of the room....
