Bronwyn was sitting on the floor, as she could often seen doing, her back to the wall and her sketch book on her lap. On the floor next to her were her four favourite pencils, ranging from a hard thin pencil that drew lightly to a very thick pencil with a soft lead that drew thick dark lines. It was the variety of her utensils that Ron felt kept her drawings full of depth and vibrant. The fifth pencil was in her hand but the page her sketch book was open on was lacking in any detail in the bottom of the page: the subject Ron had chosen was not co-operating.
The suite of armour in front of her was shining in the late afternoon sun that was shining through the window a few feet down the corridor. The suit of armour wasn't the problem, the cat at its leg was. It kept circling the suit so Ron couldn't even get a decent look at the black cat. 'Excuse me, Mr Cat,' Ron said hopefully, 'could you stand still for just a moment?' The cat stopped circling, stopped moving and looked directly at Ron. She inclined her head to the side and smiled. 'That's perfect!' she charmed, grinning from ear to ead, and she began to draw the sleek black cat just as it was, it's tail sticking out from behind its head.
