Dean looked back to Mike as Krissy screeched at him. Now wasn't the time to be smirking at him, he thought that Krissy's cut looked ok, but it would most definently bleed more, and bruise. The bruising, he could tell, would be bad. As Corey rose from his chair the second time, Dean saw no point to it. He had already stopped fighting Mike, both of them had marks on their faces and now Krissy was hurt. He didn't really know her but still felt extremely bad.
He didn't pay very much attention to Corey as he pointed his wand at the space between the two, he knew Corey wouldn't do anything unless he had to. The Gryffindor prefect wouldn't do anything stupid, he knew. Dean looked back at Krissy and again said, " I'm sorry. You ok? " He asked, indicating her head.

Krissy was glad to hear Corey's voice raise above the rest of the noise. Least she knew she wasn't the only one trying to stop them. Or, stop Mike, as he was the one who had kept trying to cause trouble. Krissy grimaced slightly as she looked over to notice Corey pointing his wand. She hoped he wouldn't need to use it. She looked back to the boy in front of her, hearing his words clearly this time. She nodded slightly. "Yeah I'm fine, don't worry" She didn't feel like having a scene made over the fact she had done something stupid and had a small cut on her face.

For Keag's being right as usual, according the Mike, it sure didn't take him long to get back out of his chair and go back to what he had been doing. The brawl started quickly as Mike made some smart aleck comment that Keagan couldn't quite catch and Dean responded quite violently. Her first thought was 'At least there aren't any wands involved,' but that thought left a tough feeling in her stomach. However, in the middle of the conflict within her about how she should or should not respond, and what she actually wanted to do, Krissy took her chance to respond...and foolishly put herself in the face of danger.
Perhaps, had she not had small motives for allowing the guys to continue on, Keag might have felt compelled to do the same thing, but she doubted it. For one, she liked her wand far too much to try anything physically. For another, she knew that if either male proved to be less than chivalrous toward her as a female, she'd be in trouble; she didn't quite trust in that chivalry, but apparently, Krissy did. It appeared to be her undoing, though it wasn't a lack of chivalry that got her injured from what Keagan could see.
Through the whole ordeal, Keagan never stood. Eventually she didn't have to, as Krissy was now laying against her bag, within reaching distance from the desk where Keag sat. Keag knew now that her adding anything at this point would probably be fruitless. Dean, after all, was occupied now with his own guilt instead of a desire to beat the living daylights out of the Hufflepuff boy, Corey was on his feet and had his wand duly leveled to prevent further obnoxious behaviors, and the Professor was surely due to step in any moment, and perhaps not simply for the brawl. A part of Keagan worried what he would do now that a second ruckus had been created in his classroom, despite Professor Bloxam's lenient first reaction. Now that the commotion was seemingly over, guilt of her own was building in Keagan's stomach.

((It appears I missed quiet a bit. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) )) Natalie Bane had been in her seat, looking at the professor when Dean found his. However he didn't stay seated long as this Hufflepuff boy decided he just had to keep going. Natalie hoped that he would indeed be the first 'human bone'. Was that how the professor put it? And she could hear the slight scratching noise as Dean came up out of his chair and that thud when he hit Mike. Natalie turned around in her seat, her arm resting across the back of the chair. It was hard to tell what she thought of the whole situation, seeing as she watched it but did not seem very passionate about the situation. Of course her anger had subsided at the moment, her real reason for being ruffled quiet now - actually, hadn't she been from the get go? Well things went steadily, the boys hitting each other, Dean hitting some girl who cried just like that.. a little girl. After she saw her clasp her face and a few tears roll down her cheeks, she just avoided looking at her. Though it was hard to keep your eyes from watering when hit she was alive and moving so there was no need to focus on someone doing nothing. She couldn't help but find it amusing as the Gryffindor boy jumped up again. Your typical Gryffindork, trying so hard to be someone's savior. She gave a sigh, "Hey, boy," because at the moment she didn't know Corey's name, "you must think yourself awfully big to insult the Professor like that. I am sure he can handle the situation.. Yet you just can't stand not jumping in there like you can do a much better job." She arched her left eyebrow, her dark eyes settled on his. He seemed a little too wand happy for Natalie's liking.

The Slytherin girl's voice drifted menacingly into his ears as he fought hard not to retort the comment. He'd left himself wide open fort he remark and while he didn't wish to seem like he was on a power trip, he also didn't like standing idily by watching two people try and knock eachother's heads off. Perhaps some people could stomach such, he couldn't. It wasn't his nature.
Now his eyes were trying to flick between three people, but pressure from the girl's statement (along with that annoying nagging voice in his head) made him reclaim his seat. His actions had been a bit brash but that really didn't mean she had to comment like she'd had her wand where it wasn't at that moment. Then again he expected nothing lesss of the girl who seemed she believed herself to be above all.
Her eyes met with his for a brief moment after he'd retaken his seat and his for a moment flashed with some sort of raw emotion. Whether it was anger, or frustration, or perhaps fear of reprimand was open to debate.
(Pardon the ooc, to avoid confusion the comment in my post wasn't directed at the you the writer Natalie)

Dean still remained on his haunches, not quite believing that she was ok. He had thrown that punch pretty hard, intending it, of course, for Mike. He saw some movement around the classroom and shot a glance at Keagan as he saw her, still sitting there. Dean turned his head slightly to the right and saw Natalie talking... Well speaking to the Gryffindor prefect. He saw the guy sit down and Dean looked at the Professor.
Half of him was thinking, ' Good, Mike will be bruised on his pretty boy face. ' and the other, more realistic part thinking, ' Sh**. Detention!!! ' He didn't really care that he would recieve detention but he'd rather not waste and hour of his time doing something he didn't want to do.

The sixth years were his most interesting class. He gave them that. But they seemed more interested in beating each other up than in his subject. Arms crossed, the Professor just watched as the two boys clashed into each other, as a Hufflepuff lassie tried to get between them and got herself socked. And then as that same goody Prefect stepped in with his wand. He just sat there, perched on the edge of his desk, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Actually, Miss Bane, he saved me the trouble. But, everyone got that out of their systems? Good. Lets see, 15 points from Hufflepuff, 10 from Slytherin, and oh, all right, 10 to Gryffindor for being the stereotypical, nosy heroic . And, Miss... Fleming? If you need the Hospital Wing, you might want to get to it. Surly the combatant from your house will give you the notes."
In a lazy fashion, he pointed his wand at Quinn and Rolen, moving it slowly back and forth between the two. The smirk replaced by a highly amused grin.
"Now, you both chose to get up. Therefore, have volunteered yourselves to be my demonstration of human Transfiguration. You both will get different fates. One of you will be my volunteer, the other will get two weeks of detention with yours truly. Up to you, but first come first serve on the Transfiguration option. I wouldn't even want to spend two weeks with myself."

This professor definately was different from most she had had before. Most professor's would have removed alot more points but this one barely seemed to even have cared that there was a fight going on. in fact he seemed silghtly interested in watching it occur. Krissy had glanced over at him from her spot on the floor. At his mention of the hospital wing a hint of fear flicked into her eyes for a moment and then disappeared, not even enough time for anyone to notice it.
She wasn't going to go there, she'd drop by the kitchens after class and pick up some ice to stop her cheek from selling, until then she'd stay in class. "No thanks sir but I'd like to stay" she said looking at him. He couldn't exactly demand she goes to the hospital wing. She had doubts about Mike's note taking, and wanted to make sure he didn't loose any more points from their house.
She stood up though and moved back towards her seat. She wanted to see this transfiguration of a human, she sat back down in her seat next to Ari, leaving her hand off her cheek so that maybe it'd stop bleeding on its own. It was only a small cut.

{I can't read all that.....}
Well, leave it to Mike to get worked up. And in the middle of class, too? In front of the professor. Sheesh. It was no wonder Arianna could never be friends with the boy and also why she secretly cheered when she found that he was no longer going out with her bestie. But poor Krissy....all the Ravenclaw could do was watch as the whole business unfolded, there were too many involved anyway. She couldn't help, though, but let out a small sigh when it was all over with and Krissy was safe in the seat next to her.
"You okay?" Arianna questioned quietly, shifting uncomfortably in her chair. Though she knew Krissy didn't care for magic technics of healing, the Raven had to help her and, after digging through her bag, produced a pair of socks, one of which she placed a cooling charm before handing it over to the girl. It was a make-shift ice pack, if you will.

Krissy smiled to her bestie as she asked if she was ok. But she couldn't help but laugh at Ari's makeshift icepack. It was a good idea. That sort of logic was a good idea, Krissy wouldn't have thought of it. "Thanks" she said to Ari taking the sock from her and placing it against her cheek. "I'll be right" she said to Ari with a smile one more. "Its only a small cut an' a bitta swelin" she didn't mind though. "Pat's gunna go nuts tho.." she whispered to Ari, the thought of what he would do if he found out she got hit by a guy suddenly popping into her mind.

Mike suddenly stepped forward towards the Professor....being the volunteer to some human transfiguration would no doubt be better than two weeks detention.
"Well in that case, i'll volunteer for the demonstration then Professor"
He said in a rather happy voice, most likely a side effect of what the Professor had done to both he and Dean.

Dean didn't exactly care about his punishment, let Mike be transformed. He hoped the untransformation stopped about... half way. That would be halarious. " Yay, detention. " He muttered, his eyes flicking from Mike to Bloxam. If the dude wanted to take that risk, then Dean was fine with having detention for two weeks. That was a long time to spend with one's head of house. He shrugged back at his seat and pulled out his wand. He waved it once and the blood went away, although the bruising remained and hic knuckles hurt, from punching Mike and Krissy. He was reminded to punch something inanimate next time he got that upset...

"Righto," Bloxam replied to Mike, and waggled a finger at Dean. "That means two weeks in my office, Quinn."
Without further adieu, the Professor gave an exaggerated and complex wave of his wand in the direction of Mike. There was a bright flash of light, and the boy's form changed, shrank, and whitened until in his place was a perfectly formed, rather large, bone. He could have made it smaller, but that would have been highly uncomfortable for the lad.
Striding up to it, Bloxam picked up bone-mike and waggled it at the class, turning him around in his hands and offering the bone out to be touched so they could see it was exactly that.
"Human Transfiguration. Changing an animate object into an inanimate object, but on larger proportions. You have a mind that knows what is going to happen -- most of the time -- and will try to fight you on doing so. You have to learn how to overcome that battle of wills on top of changing a larger mass of a living breathing human being into something else. What gets even harder is when you wish to go animate to animate."
Setting the bone down, Bloxam took out his wand again and pointed at 'Mike'. Another extravagant wave, and the bone morphed into a rather startled looking pig.
"It is similar to cross-species switching, but again, more extravagant, which is why we wait until you are sixth years before we begin to teach it to you kiddies."
Another wave of his wand and the pig returned to being Mike. Sitting where it had stood moments ago. "If you feel sick lad, there is a basket to your left, don't ruin my floors. As for anyone else, questions?"

((Nice))
Mike just rolled over towards the basket and threw up suddenly. Great, just what he always wanted to be....a bone that was turned into a pig.
Slowly he stood up and grabbed his water bottle and guzzled half of it down, before replacing the lid and before taking his seat again he turned to the professor.
"But Professor, you said that it was turning an animate subject into an inanimate subject, so why was it that you transformed me into a pig?"
Mike questioned as he lent up on his desk, feeling quite lightheaded after the experience.

(( Why, thank you ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) )) "Well, Rolen, to show the class that animate to animate transfiguration on human proportions is quite possible. However, it takes a bit better of a wizard to do it. Which is where we get more into changing humans into animals, and then, more extreme, changing yourself into an animal. But that is for another day." Quite pleased with himself, Bloxam rubbed his hands together, beaming at the class as a whole. "Well now, this has been quite an experience. And now, I hope you have all listened well, as I want a three scroll essay on todays material. Correction, todays instructing. If I get an essays on Rolen and Quinn's escapade, it better be most amusing or I'm giving it a Troll grade. Class dismissed." (( And that ends our first lesson! Homework is strictly IC, don't write me essays unless your character is doing so in the library or something and cursing me out as they do so. ))
