This was going to be, by far, the most amusing of all the years. Cross-Species switches. Fun indeed, especially when most of the fourteen year old tykes didn't get it right off the bat. He particularly couldn't wait until they started transforming cats into dogs. Those semi-cross transfigurations were always amusing. Oh, he would still fail them if they had a half cat, half dog mutant on their hands. But he would be amused by it and that was generally what counted.
So, fourth years. He was slowly climbing the ladder to the more tame and docile dogs, well... at least the more well trained ones. Ones that were beyond paper-training that is. But if he had to sit through another class, this one at least would be somewhat enjoyable. True, it was amusement at the expense of the students, but hey, he was no miracle worker after all. And cross-species switching was not walk in the park.
Covering his mouth with a gigantic hand, Bloxam yawned, shaking his head afterwords. These things lasted all day. After breakfast, a break for lunch, and then ended some short time before dinner. It was maddening, but the job paid well. Now he at least knew why professors -- at least in his school days -- stuck around for a good twenty years. Made them rich.
The Professor leaned back in his chair, making himself cozy. All that was missing was the fourth years.

Transfiguration had always been a nice class in Matty's mind. So there she was, entering the class with a soft smile on her face. It was the same old classroom as always, bleak and bare in the ways of design, but that didn't really matter. The Hufflepuff closed the classroom door quietly behind herself, and said in a kind voice "Hi Professor," before walking up to the second back row, and taking a seat around the middle. She pulled off her bag, before taking out her things and wand, putting them all on her desk.
On of her last Transfiguration lessons, the class had been doing some work with bunnies, and Matty and Jynx had managed to name their bunnies. Thinking about the rabbits names, they suddenly hit her. Danny had been her bunnies, and Dash had been Jynxs. How cute those bunnies had been.

Jynx made his way up to the fourth floor corridor and to the Transfiguration classroom. Once to the classroom he pulled open the door and smiled when he saw Matty already there. Good at least someone had arrived before him. He wasn't really one of those people that like to arrive first. Still smiling he walked over to where she was sitting and placed his bag down next the the desk next to hers. "Hey there," he said with a grin as he slid into his seat and pulled out all of his supplies.

Matty grinned. "Hey you," she said in reply to Jynx, watching him as he took out his own things. Her insides were bubbling, not because of the fact that she had just remembered the brilliant names of their rabbit friends, but also because she was finally getting to see Jynx again. Hey, the girl had missed him over the break. "Do you remember our bunnies?" she said with a smirk, folding her arms on her desk and placing her head down, but still looking to Jynx. "Danny and Dash I think their names were..." she said with a small giggle. "Wonder what ever happened to them?" the Hufflepuff said in a slightly more worried tone.
Hopefully their didn't remain as tea-pots.

OK, awkward. Devon came into Transfiguration, expecting to see Matty and Jynx already together, but unfortunately they were the only ones in the room, aside from the professor himself. Coming into the class, Devon glanced up at the professor, but that was about it. At least this was a class that he knew he was going to enjoy. Devon loved Transfiguration, but the professor killed it slightly. He wondered what they were going to be transfiguring today, but then he realized that he probably didn't want to know. He'd just wait until the class started.

Miranda skidded to a stop in front of the closed Transfiguration door. She pulled it open quietly and slid into the room, this was followed by her closing the door softly. She smiled at the professor and once again saw three other students from her class. She was among the first few again. She was really making a good first impression to the teachers, hopefully. She glanced around and saw that the two Huffles were once again together so she slid into her seat next to Devon. "Hey." She said quietly, pulling her things out of he bag.
Transfiguration was always something that she was interested in, so hopefully she would be able to do good. If she failed, she would never be able to live it down. Not to mention, losing points for her house would be awful. Hello, being the new girl and all and then making a total fool out of herself. How much more embarrassing could that be. She shook the thoughts of failure from her head and turned to the Gryffindor.

"Oh yeah, I do remember them now," Jynx said with a smile. That had been a fun class period. Although he wasn't to sure that the teapot he managed looked like it should have been named Dash, Shatter maybe, but not Dash. However Dash had suited the little rabbit so the name still worked when it was in animal form. "I am sure they are running around the old guys back room, living it up." Jynx added with a smile imagining the what the two of them might have managed to get into.

"Well, we were their owners, Merlin only knows what those two were capable of." Matty said in a playful tone, glancing up to Devon coming into the room. She couldn't help but bite back a laugh as another girl went up to him and said hello, that showed courage. Matty seriously didn't know why Devon wouldn't sit with her, in any class these days, she knew why, but there was that beam of hope she still held inside of her heart. Turning back to Jynx after the Huffle had flashed Devon a smile, she shook her thoughts. "You think Bloxam has kept any of the cheery little bunnies?" she said, a girly grin on her face.

Oliver gave a nod to the Professor as he entered the room, taking a seat near the front. He was nervous, as per normal, about the lesson coming up. Cross Species Switches were extremely difficult, but Oliver had been studying hard, and he hoped he'd at least turn the cat into some kind of other animal.

For the first time all term Evie was not the first person to her class. Feeling extremely late, she rushed into the room and found a seat in the back. Pulling out her parchment, quills and ink and began to try and pay attention as best she could, although her mind was on other things. Things that had absolutely nothing to do with school.
