"Yes, Davenport's office," Arianna replied, quickly explaining the whole situation with Davenport; how the Ravenclaw had found a little black kitten, soaked and starving, in the courtyard and had brought it to the COMC teacher to save it. Somewhere along the way the girl, who had never been fond of cats, fell in love with the little kitten. Other cats weren't so bad anymore, either.
"As for the bell...Drew bought him a collar with one on it," she went on, shrugging slightly. Arianna had hardly noticed that she was standing so close to the boy, her shoulder bumped against his arm every so often. It just felt natural. "Ash was afraid Juni would eat her rat, so Drew bought the collar so we'd all know where he was."

"Well that was sweet and nice of you to take him in," Kian said with a smile as he listened to her story which explained why the two could be hiding out in their professor's office. "I think i've always been fond of cats but then again that might just be because my firest pet was cat. So that'd be prejudice," he said with a small laugh.
"Drew... I don't think i've met him yet though i have heard of him around but that's about it," he said feeling the slight friction that was created between them each time she slightly bumped against him. At first he'd been nervous but now that they'd been talking it had eased away. "Now Ash i do know. I'm guessing you mean your fellow Raven Ash. She seems nice raced her on the ice during break." He couldn't help laughing at her words, "Sorry but that's just funny."

"I think so, too," Arianna exclaimed, giggling slightly. "Juni goes for mice, but not rats. I think he's afraid of them, actually. We'd run into a rather large on in the dungeons one day. If he does attack Ash's rat, it would be because the dang thing won't keep it's nose out of Juni's butt."
That image still made Arianna laugh. Juni hadn't, to her knowledge, made any attempt to go for the rat, despite Ash's fears. The cat still looked as though it would knock the rat to the floor if it didn't stay away from his private parts.
"Pets are so funny sometimes," she murmured, leaning her head against the boy's shoulder for a second before realizing what she had done. This time Arianna might not have bothered lifting it if not for the slight tinkling sound she thought she could hear. As she strained her ears for the noise, though, it had stopped.
"Did you hear that?" she questioned, looking up to Kian. It was possible she'd just imagined it, but Arianna was certain that was Juni's bell.

He laughed some more at her next words, "I can see why in that case Juni would suddenly get the notaion to attack Ash's rat. Who wouldn't. A cat afraid of a rat now that's a new one." He couldn't help smiling and enjoying himself with Arianna especially when she related stories like that.
"Yes they are," Kian replied just as he felt the slight weight of Arianna through his shirt as she leaned her head against his shoulder. Her sudden exclmation caught him by surprise and he jumper ever so slightly so minimal that it probably wouldn't be noted except maybe through touch. He couldn't help feeling slightly embarassed since he knew she'd felt him.
Deciding to try to look past his initial embarassment he'd stopped with her, "No on second.." he said before remaining quiet to listen better. "I think so but its muffled... like their still a ways off. But at least that means we're getting closer."

Glad to be distracted from trying to figure out what was going on inside her, Arianna headed off to where she thought the sound was coming from. She didn't let go of Kian's hand imediately, but did so when she was too far away from him.
"I think it's this way..." she gestured back toward the hallway from which she had just come from. Perhaps Juni had found one of the hidden passageways and had used it to get past the usual traffic.

Kian had gotten used to the feel of Arianna's hand in his so when she finally let go of it though with some hesitation he noted the lose of warmth. The idea made him blink for a moment as the realization hit him and wasn't sure what to make of it or his own reaction. With a slight mental shake he followed Arianna with his eyes as she made her way down the hall.
"Good ears. But would could possibly be down there?" Kian asked with a slightly perplexed expression on his face from what he knew their didn't seem to be much in that direction, "Though i suppose we might as well check it out."

Keeping her head cocked to the side, Arianna strained her ears for another sound. It came in short, sporadic bursts. It wasn't easy to pinpoint because as soon as she was almost certain where the sound was coming from, it had stopped.
"Juuuuniiii!" the girl called out softly, pressing her ear against the nearest classroom door. She also called out Midnight's name, hoping one of the two would hustle to her if they heard their names. It probably wasn't very likely that Kian's cat would do so, but Juni was usually good about coming when called.

Kian remained still for a moment before walking forward taking care so that his steps made no noise. He glanced from one direction to the other trying to pin point the exact location of the noise both himself and Arianna had heard. He didn't doubt that Midnight would come after all he loved affection though at first was a tad bit wary of newcomers.
Following her lead he crossed the hall to the other door, "Midnight come on boy," he said slightly in a coaxing voice in case he heard him. He was also sure to call for Junio but it didn't seem like the two where over there. "Any luck?" Kian asked as he glanced back over at Arianna.

Arianna shook her head, a slight frown crossing her lips. This was odd. Very odd, indeed. Juni disappearing in the middle of the night, not returning by morning, now faint jingling sounds somewhere closish, but too far to actually pinpoint where it was coming from. Even more strange was that, if it really was Juni's bell making that noise, why wasn't he coming? Arianna thought he'd come to her, if only for a second, before darting back to whatever was obviously more important than making sure his owner knew he was safe.
"I hope they're okay," she commented, making her way to the next door. It, too, was a fruitless attempt.

"I'm sure they are," Kian replied with a slight smile mostly to keep both their spirits up and honestly their was nothing they could really do until they found the two little guys. Though a slight frown couldn't help but creep onto his face for a moment at the thought that they might be hurt. Midnight had always been really good at protecting himself but you never knew what might happen in a split second.
He followed the hall and went to check to next door on his side of the hall. Mentally he really hoped that the two were okay. He suddenly came to attention as he thought he heard a bell again. "Arianna i think i heard something coming from over there," Kian said looking back at her since he was bit farther down it then her and pointed further down the hall and on her side.

"Where?" Arianna glanced behind her to where Kian was pointing. She heard the noise again for a split second and hurried after it. It seemd it hadn't even moved in the time they'd first heard it. Which was a good thing. If it didn't move they could find it faster and figure out whether it was the cats or not.
"here?" she asked, hurrying to the next door. Arianna pressed her ear against it, a small smile suddenly crossing her face. "I think you're right."

"Great," Kian said with a grin since if Arianna heard the noise too that meant that quite possibly it was there cats which would be a good thing. His worry had begun to return when they'd had no luck thus far in locating the two. "Is the door locked?" he asked before walking over to where Arianna now stood her ear pressed against the door to hear for noise within. If it was a simple spell could take care of that for them in a matter of mere seconds.

"Let's check," Arianna stepped back, closer to Kian, and reached a hand out toward the door knob. One small turn and it clicked. Arianna carefully pushed it open, but remained where she stood for a second.
"You smell really good today," she commented nonchalantly before moving into the room, her eyes scanning the room. Again she felt as she had earlier and tried not to look and see how the boy might have reacted to what she'd said.

Her words caught him by surprise since that had been the last thing he'd expected Arianna to say and his eyes went directly to her though she wasn't looking at him. Kian couldn't help but smile slightly after his initial surprise and he wasn't sure why he wanted to. He stepped into the room which placed him behind her, "You don't smell so bad yourself," he replied before moving to stand by her.
"Lets see where they can be," Kian said after a moment before scanning the interior of the room and walking farther into it.

Arianna found herself pausing for a moment and taking another whiff as Kian walked past. She smiled to herself then followed after him, keeping her eyes and ears peeled for any sight or sound of the little buggers they were looking for.
"Well, it's louder in here," she commented, following the noise to a heavy tapestry hanging on the wall. The bell, whatever it might be hanging on, was still muffled. Which might've meant that there was a passage behind the tapestry. Arianna couldn't seem to get it to budge when she tried, though.
"That's odd.." she murmured, tugging at the wall hanging with everything she could give it. It wouldn't even move an inch.
