Hiro sat. He just sat there in the chair, no homework was out, no prefect schedules, no text books for OWLs, nothing. Why he chose this spot was beyond him, he just did. Still coming to grasp the fact that Drew was gone, not on vacation or at Hogsmeade just gone. No body, no tracks just up and gone in thin air. How this had happened or why this had happened were far beyond Hiro's comprehension. They were best friends, an unstoppable pair, always looking out for each other and sticking together in detention. Now it was just him, Drew could be anywhere now except the one place he should be.

Alexis decided to go to the prefects lounge for a little while since she never made a stop there. Alexis entered the prefects lounge carrying a small book in her hands when she saw Hiro sitting in a chair by himself. At first, she thought he might have just been busy with work or something so she left him alone. However, it wasn't until Alexis sat down in a chair opposite of him did she realize something was wrong.
"Hiro? Are you alright?" Alexis asked. She wasn't too sure what was wrong, but something told her he was upset about Drew. After all, they were best friends.

"He's really gone isn't he?" Hiro asked the first voice who entered since he had. "Just up and gone. Didn't even tell me what he was planning." Hiro chuckled to himself at this point. "One time we were out after hours trying to jar lightning, almost worked too until the jars started filling up with water..."
Hiro continued to run through memories that he and Drew had worked on together.

Alexis didn't have an answer right away. Hiro must have felt horrible due to Drew's disappearance. Though she did want to say everything would be alright and he would be back soon, Alexis was scared. Who or what in the world would cause Drew to diappear? He was just a kid still just like the rest of the fifth years.
"I'm sure Drew will come back." Alexis said softly. "I don't think he's the type to stay missing for too long."

"He can't he's going to be Head Boy some day." Hiro said matter of factly. "He always wanted to be. Ever since I met him back in second year. He was so determined to be so he could abuse the powers and avoid the responsibilities. Then I got prefect before him oh man was he mad about that." Hiro said with a grin. "He became prefect shortly after...he would've made a great Head Boy you know?"
Hiro hadn't realized he was speaking in the past tense, just with the dark mark and Drew missing Hiro naturally had his defenses up for the worst.

Charlie had come into the prefect's lounge, but looking absolutely dirty and smelling pretty bad due to the amount of time she spent on qudditch pitch. She didn't care about the OWLs right about now, and it was just her time to focus on flying until she could sweat no more.
Still, it was time to head on in, and maybe just be in the lounge for a while. She said nothing concerning Drew, and maybe she didn't want to. Hearing the news for the first time made her laugh after a pause, and how she laughed. "I can't believe you're lettin' him fool you," she had said before, and a few minutes later she went off to the pitch, not sure if she would return.
If it was up to her, he wouldn't be gone. In fact, in her mind, he was surely wasn't. Just maybe in the library or doing something that nerdy Ravenclaws like to do.
But she sort of stopped once she spotted Alexis and Hiro, especially stopped when she spotted Hiro. She avoided him as much, too, but she couldn't tell why. Coulda asked him if he wanted to train, too. But she never asked him. And she frankly didn't want to.
"Sorry," she said to the both of them. "Going through here. Won't be bothering you anytime soon." She made an discretely audible gulp and started the cross the room, trying to make sure she didn't even catch a peep at Hiro.

"I think he would at least." Hiro continued uninterupted. "He has a record for mischievous acts but deep down he has the qualities required for being a leader. He always lept before he looked, not much of a planner. Probably how he got himself in whatever situation in the first place. Can't imagine what Allegra's going through, no body to confirm he's dead, no ransom to confirm he's alive. Must be hell for her and the Thorntons."

Charlie stopped her traveling for a moment and actually interjected in the conversation, whether she meant to or not. "He def'n'ly ain't dead," she said it rather matter-of-factly. It wasn't like she "knew in her spirit" or anything. But this was the one time she minded to be wrong in her statements.

It was kind of scaring Alexis how Hiro was talking about Drew. To her, he was making it sound like he was dead but that couldn't be true right? Alexis was about to say something but Charlie had interjected with "He def'n'ly ain't dead." She wasn't sure if she meant this truly but at least she said something.
"I guess we just have to hope nothing bad happened to him..." Alexis said.

"That's ALL we can do." Hiro wasn't religious so the amount of discomfort the situation brought was overwhelming. He had no where to turn for help the situation because no one knew for sure about anything. "If he is out there all we can do is sit on our hands and wait. Nothing we can do will change anything."

Though Charlie was the worst candidate to make anyone feel better, she could at least tell that Hiro was upset about it. Biting her lip, she turned her heel and headed towards the other two prefects. Sitting at the arm of the chair that Hiro sat on, she sighed. "We'll wait, then. If he takes his sweet time, then we'll try to find him and I'll give 'im a piece of my mind." This situation maddened her. Looking to Hiro, she could tell he was some sort of vacant. She wanted to deny it all, but the fact that she had to deny in the first place brought anger to her.
