Health has always been a very important aspect of life. Without one’s health they had nothing but problems, despair, and ultimately bad health led to death in Annemarie’s experience with it. What a gift wizards and witches had when they had faster ways and magic to heal their sick and wounded. What a gift indeed.
But muggles on the other hand did not, and today she was about to test the brilliance of her older class once again, to see if they truly understood how muggles healed themselves. It wasn’t a case of just sipping a potion once, or a quick fix with a wand, oh no. It took a lot more time and effort to heal the muggle way, and though it did, Annemarie even knew of some magical folks who’d rather heal in that sort of way. She herself was one of them.
She had no visual aids sitting out and about this time. Her desk was bare, as was the chalkboard behind her. Today would be more of a discussion class that she had come to realize this class could handle. An intelligent bunch they were, and quite respectful of their peers…well, for the most part. Everyone now and then slipped, even she.
Sitting in her chair behind the desk, her usual late comer chair was positioned by her desk waiting for any late comers and her role was on the desk as well, just waiting to be called. It would be an exciting day she hoped, for she truly did love working with the older bunches of kids. That was….most of the older, bunch of students.

Back to Muggle Studies. Probably one of the easiest and most enjoyable classes that Alexander would sit through in his whole entire Hogwarts career. Sure, the teacher was a bit of a stickler, but he knew how to charm and not get on the bad side of a woman…or at least most of the time he knew how to. There were a few times already that year he had to apologize like crazy…and actually she’d be one of the people in this class. Seanna wasn’t there yet though as he looked around the classroom, and spotted no one but himself and Professor van Aller.
“Good day, Professor van Aller,” he said with a tip of his head, sitting in the front row in the middle of van Aller’s normal two rows that she had set up for the class. This time there were no visual aids that he could see, and the professor was sitting behind her desk. Alexander set down his bag, leaned back and waited for others to join him.

Muggle Studies. Another class he excelled in so greatly. He grew up with muggle parts, even though he was a pureblood. Since he moved in with his grandparents, all he did 40% of the time was play with muggle stuff. His grandfather was a muggle lover and their fanscianting works. Tristan liked them too, even though he prefer the magical world. Who wouldn't?
Like always, he walked in with his bag over his shoulder. He looked around, seeing he was early and only saw a Hufflepuff. He never really talked to the guy. But he decided to meet him today. New friends, what the hay? He then sat in a seat next to the Hufflepuff. He sat his bag on the ground, and looked towards him.
"Hello, the names Howard. Tristan Howard. Never talked to you much, how's it going?" he asked the Hufflepuff.

Another to enter the room and Alexander looked around to see who it could be. A guy he didn't know personally, but at the same time not one he had any problems with either. When he started toward where Alexander was sitting, Alexander smiled in acknowledgment and listened to his introductions. "It's going alright," Alexander shrugged at the Gryffindor whom introduced himself. "There's nothing to complain about." Alexander chucked a bit as he gave a bit of a shrug. Sticking out his hand for Tristan, Alexander nodded. "Alexander Cronon," he said, introducing himself in return.

Dragos walked into the Muggle Studies class, becoming indifferent toward the class. Dragos had enjoyed it before, but now it was just another class. Taking a look around, Dragos saw he wasn't the first in the room again, but he was the oldest. Sighing, Dragos took a seat near the back and crunched down in the chair, attempting the incognito kind of aura.

This had to have been the class that she would have liked to enjoy, if she had a better-liked teacher. She personally enjoyed having classes with the last professor who unexpectedly left, and every day she was reminded to miss him whenever she set her eyes on her new Head of House and Muggle Studies professor. She hadn't bothered to know what was going on with the class when she entered it. Instead, she set her eyes on Dragos, and made him her target.
She kicked his seat before sitting on one next to him. "Hey, dude," she greeted him idly and rocked back on the seat.

Muggle Studies today would be an interesting class. Lucas had grown up with Muggle healing and his mum hadn't been half-bad when it came to making cuts and scrapes feel better. But Lucas knew this would be a lot more in depth than that. Coming into class, Lucas took a seat and took out his notebook, ready for class.

The Gryffindor seventh year hoped Muggle Studies would be an interesting class today. It was another mixed class and while Deryn wasn't too fond of that idea, she knew there was at least one benefit: Lucas.
And as assumed, there was the boy already in there and Deryn made a beeline for him. "Hey Lucas," Deryn greeted him, sitting next to the boy.

As the students filed in, as per usual and it was time to begin. The class was a bit smaller than usual, but it only meant that she would expect more participation from the students that were there in order to not only keep the class discussion going but also, to keep the topics moving as fluidly as possible. Muggle healing was a nice and easy topic for some for the end of the year, and she hoped that most in the room would be quick to catch on to it. Standing up, she waved her wand at the board, instantly it filled with a chart of sorts. Most of which was empty, but the point of the class would be to fill it up. Annemarie smiled warmly, greeting those who greeted her, and then nodding at the rest whom came in the room. Her students from her house she noticed sat in the back of the classroom, and though she wouldn't move them, her smile faded a bit with disappointment and a touch of sadness. She had heard rumors of her house disliking her because she was not only muggle born, but also the muggle studies professor...it saddened her greatly, but at the same time, she was there to enlighten and educate......not make friends. Placing her attendance on the podium she began her class. "Welcome students, today we will be having more of a discussion on Muggle Healing and the ways it works. Obviously, due to the limited time in our class we won't be able to cover all of it, but we'll get the basic introductory stuff done in this class, and continue with this lesson until the end of the year. Some of you by then will be taking your NEWTs and I will be having extra review study lessons for those whom want to attend. They are optional, and not required by any means. They're just to help you out." With that Annemarie smiled again and then looked down at her role sheet to call off the names to see who was and was not there. When she called off all of their names, she looked back up and smiled. "Alright, so Muggle Healing....would anyone like to start us off with a basic overview of what those two words mean when put together?" Of course the definition would be vague and she wasn't looking for perfection, but merely a starting point for the lesson. From there they would progress fluidly on what the students themselves knew, and she would fill in what they didn't. On the board behind her the chart looked as follows: Sickness | How does one heal it? |
Below the two categories there was nothing, for when they got to a specific part she planned on writing it on the board so that they students could take notes. Everything was going to plan that day, and as she got ready to teach, she pushed in her chair and waited for hands to go up. ((THIS CLASS HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED. ANY ONE POSTING AFTER THIS AND DOES NOT WANT TO BE COUNTED AS LATE SHOULD POST THAT THEY WERE ALREADY IN THE CLASSROOM.))

And just as quickly as it starts, it ends. Class is over.
