Knitting her eyebrows out of confusion, she stared at the girl. Greener grass? Wasn't that like saying what you had wasn't good enough, that you kept wanting more? How did that fit in? Deciding it best not to reply, she smiled brightly as the girl approached her and leaned against the wall, maybe it was more comfortable.
"Your date?" she asked with a big grin. It would be fun to go with another friend, no problem. And then her loneliness would be solved, she would have someone to talk with and dance with. That would certainly be fun. "Are you sure you wouldn't mind going with me when I have to deal with some paper stuff?" she inquired. Of course, she'd love to go with the girl, but she didn't want to be bothersome either.
"If you don't mind I'll go with you, it would be fun. But I would still have to do a bit of paper stuff, so I might not be the best person to want to go with."

Jax let out the breath she seemed to be holding as she awaited the reply from the blond beauty in front of her. As she said yes, Jax could have gone back to the common room squealing and squeeing like the young school girl she was. "Really? You'll go with me?" Shock started taking over her body. There was no way she heard Felicity right. She had to be joking. "I mean, I don't care if you have to work on the paper. I mean, like that's cool and all I'm just....wow, you'll really go with me?" She was estatic and could barely keep her cool.
Her smile grew even more, and a blush over took her face even more than it had before. This was incredible, and probably the best day of her life. She was going to have to get her camera out of her trunk to send pictures to Al back home. What was she going to wear? Jax couldn't believe that already, the first girl she talked to in the hall, would now be going to the dance with her. And it was a dance, so not only would the girl be going with her...but it would almost be as if they would have to dance just in general. Jax couldn't believe how lucky she was. Life was swell, and now she had proof.

Felicity couldn't help but laugh at how excited the girl was, perhaps she really didn't like the thought of going without a friend. Nodding she still couldn't get over the other blond's enthusiasm, but at least she had someone to go with, even if not Drew. And thinking of him, she realized she'd have to explain that she was going to go with her friend, because just going and not telling him didn't sound right. No, she'd definitely have to tell him when she saw him; and she'd have to make sure to do it in a way that didn't sound like she'd expected him to ask her to go.
"Well, yes, I'll go with you. I mean it's what friends are there for, right? To help each other out. We both needed dates, and now we have one," she smiled at the girl. But before the dance she'd have to figure out her name. It wouldn't be right to go without knowing her name. "As long as I get the paper stuff done it won't be any problem. And I'd like to go with you, it'd be fun."
And so it would be. Both girls were very hyper and fun, the dance was going to be much fun with each other. Now, if Celina didn't have a date, she'd have to get her to go with them, it'd be even more fun for the three girls to go together. And if she had a date, well no real disappointments.

It's what friends are there for, right? Jax's smile faded the tiniest of bits, as she nodded her head. "Yea, I mean, of course." She knew that they were going as friends, but no one else had to know that. She smiled again. Especially, the guys back home. It would be great. So, her excitement never faded. Why should it? And ya never knew, it wasn't like Jax always thought about asking girls. Maybe Felicity was just a slow bloomer.
Jax leaned further into the wall with her head all the way back. If that hadn't been so stressful, she'd be fine. She really wished now that she could fly her broom, but then again, what did a little rain hurt? "I can help you with the paper stuff too, if you want." Jax looked up at the ceiling. This dance was going to be something else.

"That would be up to you," she answered the Ravenclaw. "I mean I'll just mostly being jotting notes here and there, probably during songs I don't like," she added with a smile. A dance was for dancing, not taking notes. But she'd suffer through it, and there were bound to be slow songs so she'd utilize those moments to write down as much as possible. However, if the girl was willing to help it'd be that much easier, and she just might be able to get twice the amount of information for an article she'd be up all night writing to make sure it was available for the paper the next day.
No, Felicity wasn't going to be getting any sleep that night, but maybe it'd be worth it. It was possible she might even be able to talk Drew into staying up with her at the office to write the article; that would be fun, or at least much more fun than her staying up by herself to write it. Of course, if he wouldn't she could ask someone else, maybe Celina or Matty. They'd both be good to have with her. One thing was for sure, she'd have to find someone to stay up with her.
