As with what had happened with two of her other classes, Rachel had been forced to add both the second years and the third years together. She resented this, and had the feeling that there were a few other students that were going to be in this class would two. She hadn’t really met any of them properly, except for one boy, who had turned out to be quite nice. She hoped that all of her students would be as polite as him, but she was scared that she was going to make favorites. This was also something that she resented, well, the idea of. She did not want to be the kind of teacher that made some students uncomfortable, but she knew that if it happened, it would be something that she’d have to control.
She had decided to make the second and third years a pack, but, although different to the older students, she was nervous that she was trying to make the younger ones grow up to fast, and consequently, they would begin to hate the subject that she taught. This was nerve racking for the girl, but, as all good teachers did, she’d just have to use her courage, and win the students over.
The blonde wrote the children name on each pack, in alphabetical order. She opened each of the exercise books, and dictated their name, before, “Please use this diary to write down everything you learn, everything you want to remember, everything you need to study. It is important that you do so, as your end of year tests will approach, and it would be good that have a resource such as this.”. Hopefully the students would arrive soon, in order to keep Rachel from tearing herself limb for limb.

Hannah yawned as she trudged up the steps to the Astronomy classroom, her brown eyes looking tired and not ready for learning anything about Astronomy at this time of night. The young Ravenclaw hadn't become used to the midnight class yet, and the class itself interrupted her normal sleeping routine, so she hadn't had enough sleep to overcome her crankiness just yet.
Or maybe her crankiness was just the fact that she wasn't fully awake just yet and her mind was still in sleepy mode. Though, Hannah tried not to let the fact that she was tired and cranky show when she entered the Astronomy classroom, giving the Professor one of her smiles. "Hi Professor" Hannah said, in a somewhat tired voice, spotting a seating plan near the Professor's desk.
Seeing her name listed on seat number three, in the front row, Hannah smiled again at the Professor before she went over to her assigned seat, which was nearly smack bang in the middle and nearly right in front of the Professor's desk. Hannah sighed inwardly as she sat down at her assigned seat, figuring she didn't mind being in the front row too much, it was just the fact she was right in front of the Professor she didn't like much, that meant she couldn't cause any trouble.

This was just stupid. They were growing children and needed their proper sleep so why in the world did they have to go to class in the middle of the night? Jeremy was sure that next the school would stop serving dinner and then take away their beds. It didn't matter to Jeremy. He would just save food from lunch and he had already proven he could sleep just fine under the coffee table in the common room.
Jeremy also wasn't fond of the seating chart, noticing he was surrounded by third years. Why, oh why did they always have to have class with the third years? None of it was fair.
Trudging into the classroom without a word, he took his seat and slunk down low. He didn't even have the option of hiding behind the person in front of him. Nope. Not fair.

Rachel knew that this lesson would be one of the hardest. It was not that she didn't like the students, but in her experience, and other peoples experience, of which she has been informed, the second and thrid years were usually the most reluctant to go to their Astonomy class, as they were missing out on such precious sleep. Nevertheless, Rachel was excited to teach the class, she already knew of a few students that were in her house, hat would hopefully be attending. Thankfully, tonight was only going to be a theoretical lesson, and they would hve to worry about telescopes. Hopefully the students liked theory, or Rachel was basically in for a long night.
"Good evening." Rachel yawned to the two that had entered. "Don't worry, the seating plan is only for this lesson, you'll be able to choose where you want to sit later." She said, as she saw the boy sinking down in his chair. Smiling, the woman took out her book, knowing that there was still a few more students to come.

Alright, just to get things straight night time equals sleep and for children like themselves isn't Hogwarts suppose to encourage sleep or something? Then again, the teenagers around here seemed sleepy all the time dispite the fact they had this class. Oh well, nothing could be done about it now other than drop it after fifth year but how far away was that from now? Claire trudged her way up from the dungeons all the way up to the towers thinking of nothing other than how nice it would feel under her nice warm covers. But noooo, I have to study stars all night rather than sleep. she thought as she entered the classroom. Worse of all was that there was a seating chart. There went her hopes of sitting in the back to get some shut eye.
Checking for her name, Claire was disappointed to find herself somewhere in the second row. Finding the seat the girl sat down and just stared at the wall hoping to find something to keep herself awake and that was not going to be the lesson at this rate.

Twas a nightmare a purely un-adulterated ‘PG’ rated horror, class at midnight whoever did this was a sadist and needed to be killed… ….slowly. It wasn’t that Art wasn’t a kid who hated staying up late, actually he loved it but he didn’t want to take a lesson or be expected to be coherent when he did stay up late. He looked scruffy, no he looked down right sloppy, his entire uniform was wrinkled, the knot for his tie was down about his chest, his untouched shirt hung sloppily under his robes some buttons were missed some were skipped and others were in the wrong hole…. Go figure. He trounced through the castle at a deadbeat moving only his feet and his hands when necessary. Art managed to get to the tower on time and find his seat; how he did it he didn’t know, or care but he did do it. He lowered his bag to the ground and set his head on the desk and with the last few minutes before the bell he slipped into a nice nap.

Rachel grinned at each student as they entered. Much like her other classes, they all seemed tired, and unwilling to actually learn. But Rachel really didn't think much of that. She attempted to remember each name, but to save herself the embarassment of getting it wrong, she just repeated it in her head. Hannah, Jeremy, Claire, um... Oh, Artemis, the blonde woman thought, remembering each name pretty quickly. She had a load of students though, she's bound to stuff up one day.
Standing up, Rachel looked around the room. There wasn't that many people, surely a lot less than she expected, but she decided that she'd start the lesson, as there was no pont waiting. When the students that were running late got there, then Rachel would have to deal with them. For now, the lesson was about to begin. Smiling, Rachel knew exactly what she had to say. "Okay students. There isn't that many people here, but the lesson is now beginning. I know you all want to just go home and sleep, but you're here to learn, and learn you will." Rachel clapped her hands together.
"Okay, today we will be learning about the comets. Can anyone tell me what you guys already know?"
I was going to wait a bit, but the lesson has started. We are fast running out of time, so quickley! I will reward greatly if we can get this to three pages, so everyone post !

Unlike her other classmates Fyona felt refreshed and energized. Also unlike her classmates Fyona could not manage to be on time tonight. She managed to walk into the classroom and find her seat right before the professor started the lesson. She had almost missed the seating chart entirely but the important thing is that she didn't. As the professor started to speak Fyona was thinking of other things. About a million things at once it seemed. Her eyes shifted frantically from seat to seat from the unoccupied ones to the ones with warm bodies. She tapped her fingers constantly on her desk as Professor Kinsley asked them a question.
Question? What question? Question about what? About comets? What about comets? Oh! What do we know about comets? I don't know. What do I know about comets? I think I know something. I do know something about comets don't I. Well now I just need to figure out what I know about things about comets to answer the--
"It's a flying frozen rock right?" Was it? There was something about a tail and dust too. The facts were all in her head she just couldn't concentrate long enough to really think about them. It must be the coffee doing this. Six cups of coffee for a person who doesn't normally drink coffee will have that affect. Her mouth twitched into a frown as she now tapped her foot repeatedly, unsatisfied with her mediocre answer.

Jeremy didn't normally answer questions in class, but sometimes, when he really liked the subject, he forgot to be surly and would actually participate. Plus, he thought that aside from her dum seating arrangement, Professor Kinsley wasn't all that bad.
"It orbits the sun and sometimes they come around regular like," he started, eyes wide with enthusiasm. "Haley's Comet comes around every 76 years and won't be back until 2061." Realizing he had said too much, he slumped back down in his seat, clamping his mouth shut as he felt his ears turning pink
