Smiling somewhat stupidly as she gave her best friend a hug, she couldn't help but feel incredibly schoolgirl-ish as she did so. Matty and Tianne didn't hug like that, and with the conversation that had so far taken place, well... Tianne wasn't feeling herself. Usually, she was cool, calm and collected, not hyper, exciteable and loud. Being sixteen was really doing weird, wacky things to the girl. She hoped that Matty wouldn't mind; Tianne had the feeling that she could out run anything, over the hills and up the mountains, a feeling that experienced quite a bit.
Taking card rather graciously, happy that Matty had actually remembered that it was Tianne's 'sweet sixteen', Tianne read the card, although it didn't say much, slowly and thoroughly. Re-reading it, almost to take it all in, to not miss any details or clues that the Hufflepuff had lodged deep within the lines, Tianne grinned at her friend, and held her hand up for the younger girl to high-five. "Alright! You remembered!" She said, giving a sweet smile. She knew that Matty would, I mean, duh, but Tianne felt loved by that.
"Guess what I got off the fam?" She said, relaxed, finally drifting back to planet Earth. Accepting the gift that she had looked forward to the most, well, the most after her present from her family, Tianne gave an excited giggle, and clapped her hands together. "Is it a pony? It's a pony isn't it? I always wanted a pony! Yay!" She laughed, looking up at Matty with desperation, hope and graciousness in her eyes. She was joking, something that Matty would understand almost straight off but yes, she did want a pony.
Opening it, slowly and tenderly so she didn't break anything, Tianne winked at Matty, before revealing a blue locket, a color that perfectly matched Tianne's house color. "Oh, Matty." She said, looking up, a smile not evident on her features, though not from laack of happiness. "That is really, really nice." Tianne said, incredibly genuinely. "You wanna help me put it on?" the girl smiled, handing Matty the necklace, turning around and lifting up her hair.
"It's really, really, really cool." Tianne grinned happily, examining the pendant that hung around her neck. It was something, it was really something special.

Okay, so the card didn't say much... but did it really need to? Matty had specifically kept it short, sharp and sweet; something that would just stick. And besides, that was all she really wanted to say. Sure, poetry and lyrics could assist her with that, but the main message was read loud and clear by her inked wrote; you're my best friend, and i love you for that. And she really, really was. When the newly-sixteen-year-old questioned the younger girl on what she thought Tee's family had gotten the girl, Matt gave a small shrug, grinning all the same though. "Please don't tell me John bought you candy. If he did, he's in for it next time we meet." the teen sent her friend a devilish look, the joke coming through her gaze.
"Is it a pony? It's a pony isn't it? I always wanted a pony! Yay!"
Rolling her eyes playfully and huffing a sigh, Matty shook her head with a smile. "I told you not to snoop around my underwear drawer! I knew that stupid pony wouldn't shut up." she teased, knowing fully well that Tianne had not been through her underwear drawer (or had she?) and there was defiantly not a pony around anywhere. but all the same, she couldn't suppress the laugh that followed her own reply. When Tee did open her gift though, the expression on her face said it all, and Matty was genuinely relived and happy. She liked knowing that she had brought some form of joy or pleasure into the world of someone she care about.
Nodding with a grateful smile, the girl gently took the golden chain and pendant from her friend, and helped to lock the clasp around at the back of her neck. "I'm really glad you like it. And look see," she said, stepping to the Ravenclaw's side, unlocking the locket around her neck with on hand, and doing the same to her friend's on. "Just a reminder of how much you mean to me." the words were soft, yet brimming with so much compassion and sincerity. Closing them shut again with a small 'snap', Matty then dropped her hand to grab Tianne's. "Now come on, before our food gets cold." she stated, turning them both so that she could pull the girls through the doorway. And thats when it happened. The whole lights, camera, action!
"Surprise!"

Laughing as the necklace was draped over her neck, Tianne couldn't have been more excited. The present was gorgeous, and Matty was the nicest person that Tianne had ever met. She couldn't believe that the two girls had previously fought over something so stupid as her and Emeric. She could see why Emeric liked her though, for her caring, nice, fun-loving nature. "I've never gotten so much sugar in my life! It feels like I'm running a marathon now, and I think I've just hit the 39th kilometre." The young girl laughed, jogged on the spot; well, jogging as much as her dress would let her.
"But seriously, I really wanted a pony." She said, crossing her arms as she turned back around to face the girl. Clapping her hands at the mention of her best friends matching one, Tianne laughed, and looked down at the pictures that were held inside of the locket. It was such a thoughtful gift, she couldn't have asked for anything more. "But wherever did you get them?" She asked, hoping that the answer wouldn't be too complicated, or that she had found them in a dumpster or something, she knew that Matty went to the dumpster often.
Taking Matty's hand and following her lead as she wandered closer to the room of requirement, Tianne couldn't wait to see what was in line for her. She didn't expect much, but she knew what the room and Matty for that matter, was capable of, and she was looking forward to it so much that seconds seemed like hours. Following Matty for what seemed like forever, Tianne had a smile on her face the entire time. Everything was in slow motion, and she could almost hear the ticking of the watch in her bag.
Upon hearing the great surprise that awaited her in the room of requirement, Tianne felt like she was going to faint. Matty had organized all of this, just for Tianne? She was so happy. Taking a step back as she was forced to pause to take a few breaths, Tianne burst out laughing. "Goodness me!" She said, looking at Matty with a mischievous grin upon her surprised face. "I hate you." She muttered jokingly, sticking her tongue out at the girl that she had trusted to keep the whole thing low-key. Oh. My. Goodness.

"Surprise!" Henry chorused along with the rest when the door had opened and Matty stood there with Tianne.
A huge smile was playing across his face, he had liked Tianne from the first time they had met, and had hoped to be in the Ravenclaw's presence more, though he hadn't gotten a chance too. He was quite happy of the opportunity to attend the party, and was happily anticipating an entertaining afternoon of festivities with his new friends, though, he noticed that Eaden had not yet made her appearance, he had invited her as his date for the occasion, and she had agreed; He figured she was just late.

"Ooooh crap, oh crap crap" Lach panted, sprinting along the corridors. He was late, really late. Of all the days, he had to pick today. Skidding around a corner, Lach almost crashed into a suit of armour. 'Maybe I should slow down' Lach thought to himself, trying to catch his breath. After all, a few seconds weren't going to matter. The boy was on his way to the room of requirement. And not just for any old reason. It was for a birthday party. And as a matter of fact, not just any old birthday. It was Tianne's and Lach was afraid that he had all ready missed the suprise part. 'Oh well, at least I'll still be there' he admitted to himself.
It was his new friend, Tianne's 16th birthday and Matty had organised the party for her. Lach had received his colourful invite a week ago when he had been eating in the great hall and a clumsy owl had dropped it in his plate of food. Not a pretty sight. it wasn't like he had forgotten it either, Lach was ecstatic when he had received it. He liked Tianne, from the moment he had first crashed her picnic and Lach really wanted to celebrate her birthday with her. The real reason for why Lachlan was late was, in some ways, quite embarrassing. He had spent a little too much time in front of the mirror, deciding what to wear. Lach didn't really know why he went to so much trouble to dress well. He supposed he just wanted to look good for Tianne's birthday.
Finally Lach reached the room, just as he saw Matty and Tianne enter. "Bugger" Lach thought to himself, as a chorus of "Surprise" could be heard. Jumping in quickly, as if to join in with the last stragglers, Lach yelled "Surprise Tianne, Happy Birthday" adding a wicked grin to his face. Maybe she wouldn't notice he was late after all.

As the lights went up and the cheer sounded, Drew stepped out of his hiding spot, adding his own voice to the chorus. The look on Tianne's face was priceless and made Drew break out into a wide grin of his own. As people moved forward to greet the guest of honor, the older Ravenclaw hung back, knowing he'd have the opportunity to say his hellos and extend his wishes in a bit. In the meantime, he snagged a cookie and nibbled while he waited.

" Surprise! " Guy yelled out along with everyone else as Tianne entered the room, a grin magically appearing on the adolescent's face. The Ravenclaw girl looked incredibly surprised, to say the least, and that was pretty awesome in Guy's opinion. He looked at Matty, knowing that the girl had gone through a lot of trouble for her best friend. It made the seventh year glad he was friends with both of them, and that even though he was leaving school soon, he would probably still keep in contact.
He set his skateboard on the ground and pushed it forward with his foot through the sand, the wheels spinning helplessly as the skateboard refused to move. Guy gave it a good push, sending the skateboard a few feet in front of him. Guy made his way forward a bit, turning to Tianne and saying, " Happy sixteenth, Tianne. " He grinned slightly, hoping that this birthday was what the girl wanted it to be.

Jason joined in "surprise!!" he yelled with them, Jason smiled as he saw Tianne walk in, he leaned up against the wall and waited for her reaction. Jason had had a pretty hard week, and this party is just what he needed to pick his spirits up, because in a world with Jason being down, well it just wasn't right, he smiled when he saw Delilah. she was there for him when he herd about his friend dieing, and so was Tianne. He smiled things should be getting back to normal for Jason soon.

Of course Delilah had joined in on everyone yelling their surprises, a huge grin spreading across her own face at the shock on her Ravenclaw friend's face. It was both amusing and heart lightening at the same time. She was very happy for the new sixteen girl, and decided she'd go tel her happy birthday in person as soon as everyone else got past her. She didn't want to over whelm her or anything like that. But she hoped that Tianne felt loved, and, just amused as Delilah did. Delilah looked around the room at the faces she did, and did not know, and offered a small wave at Jason, knowing it was a rough time for him at present.

Surprised, in Tianne's sake, was probably the least descriptive, worlds biggest understatement. She had no idea that the Room of Requirement was even capable of creating a setting; let alone her friends. She didn't think they were stupid, and would forget her birthday all together, but, let's just say that Tianne wasn't expecting them to all attend a party that was being thrown in her name. She was happy that they were all here; there wasn't any better way to celebrate her sweet sixteen with.
Upon entering the room, Tianne's eyes had darted around, taking in the scenery, a beautiful Hawaiian setting, and then the people that were all there; Henry, a boy she had met in the Study Groups, Lachlan, someone that she considered to be one of her good friends, Drew, her raven-brother, Guy, her boxer-buddy, Jason, another ravenclaw friend, Delilah, a girl that had helped Tianne find her way down in the dungeons, and of course, Emeric, Matty's boyfriend. Their friendship stories were all different, though Tianne valued each and every one of them equally.
"Oh, my birthday isn't part of your top priorities, Lach." She said, a smirk upon her face. Grinning as Guy presented himself, Tianne nodded towards the boy. "I didn't really think that this was your kinda scene, Guy." She said, without a teasing tone, although most conversation between the pair was used in that kind of frame of mind.
"This is awesome!"

Matty couldn't help continue to grin at Tianne. Well, even if she was generally cool, calm and collected, the teenager defiantly had a valid reason to be hyper, excited, and as adorable as she wanted to be. Heck, she was sixteen! That scream 'give me attention' in any language! Good attention, of course. Nothing but the best in fact. The token of friendship that Matilda had given Tianne was one that she hoped would last a long time, if not a life time. The girl gave a small shrug at her question about where they had come from, a mysterious look taking over her smile. "They were my mums. Dad found and sent them to me earlier this year." she admitted, though honestly, not wanting to make much of a big deal about it.
Upon entering the room, and reading the surprised look on her face was simply priceless. Painstakingly perfect, though. This sent Matilda into a fit of laughter, after she had been mined the words 'I hate you' from her best friend. Ah, the Hufflepuff knew Tee was going to enjoy this, and would appreciate it in the end. After all, she deserved it, too. The teen watched as a few came up to greet her, including Guy and Lachlan. Matty decided to give her friend a bit of space to say hello to those who came up at a time, and so she slipped back into the main of the room. She found around the food table, an ecstatic smile riding on her features.
There was nothing better than knowing you could make someone you loved so much, so happy.

Tianne made the rounds, saying hi to her friends and Drew waited his turn, keeping himself occupied with the snack table. Matty came over to where he was and Drew poked her playfully in the side. "You did good, Wetworth," he told her with a wide grin. "It's really cool for you to do this for your best friend. Tianne looked really surprised and everything looks awesome: the decorations, the sand, the food, the water, ... the food..."

Lachlan laughed as Tianne commented on him being late. He knew she was only joking but Lach wanted to make it up to her. Pulling a present, almost out of thin air, Lach handed it to Tianne. It was only a small little box, wrapped in cup cake wrapping paper with a purple bow on top. A small card attached to the present read. 'To Tianne, the second best soccer player in the world, Happy 16th Birthday, Lach' It was simple but Lach thought Tianne would like it.
Leaving Tianne holding the present, she could open it and find out what was inside when she was ready, Lach walked over towards the snack table. He had followed the direction in which his fellow Hufflepuff, Matty, had gpme. Lach made his way over to the girl greeting Matty with a smile. "Quite a party, aye Matty"

The girl was almost surprised with the poke in her side, but Matty had been aware that Drew was lurking about here. She looked over to him, a smile still plastered across her face as she listened to what he had to say. Well, that was a compliment and a half, wasn't it? The teen even let out a small chuckle at his mention twice of the food. "I do what I can." she replied first, before adding "The house elf's did help out allot. Tianne deserves it, though, she's been a tremendous mate to me." the teenager confided in Drew. If anyone knew much how kind, caring, helping and fun the Ravenclaw girl was... it would probably be the older boy standing beside her now.
Approaching the two now was Lachlan, a smile on his face too. She was relived to see that so many people were smiling, laughing, and generally having a good time. "Quite a party, aye Matty." The girl nodded in thanks, another small bubble of laughter coming from her mouth. "Yeah, I'm really pleased with how everything has fallen into place. It couldn't be done without you guys, though," she mentioned, gesturing to both Lach and Drew. "Without guests, this party wouldn't be nearly as great as it's turning out to be."

To say that Tianne wasn't enjoying herself would be an outright lie. In fact, to say that she was enjoying herself; well, that just didn't cover it all. Tianne was having the time of her life, even if the party had only just started. The room was awesome, her friends were the best, and the smile on her face said it all. Right now, it would be downright impossible for the girl to wipe this grin off her features; it was permanently there, that was, until the party ended. But the way that she was currently grinning and giggling, she was sure that it would last well into the night, and that was all that mattered.
Taking the present that had just been handed to her, from Lachlan, Tianne had to fight back the urge to just dance on the spot. She was so excited, and her features were obviously showing that. "Hang on a second..." She said, holding her hands up in the air. "I'm not dressed for the occasion!" She said, giving Matty a frown. Wandering over to the group of three that had formed with Matty, Drew and Lachlan, Tianne crossed her arms. "Happy party." She laughed to Drew, before crossing her arms at Matty. "I have to go back up to the common room. You know, to get something wear." She said, slightly unhappy that she had to leave the party.
"And thanks, Lach. You wanna tell me what it is?" She grinned, holding up the present that she had been given from the blonde Hufflepuff.
